Every Democrat leader needs to watch this video; Update: Now, Barney Frank says “Whoa, Nelly!”

Show of hands: “Who believes they should stop and let the Senator be seated?”
Frank Luntz’s focus group provides a clear message to the Democrat leadership and White House: “Hell, no, we don’t want you ramming bills down our throats in the dark of night with backroom deals and crony pay-offs!”
Are they listening yet? Video via Johnny Dollar. Note especially the passionate responses from Coakley voters in opposition to Democrats short-circuiting the legislative process:
***
Well, well, well. First, Democrat Sen. Jim Webb. Now, Mass. Democrat Rep. Barney Frank:
Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank, a strong supporter of the health care legislation, said Brown’s victory means Congress will have to “start over on health care.” He said he will vote against any bill rushed to the floor before Brown can be sworn in.
Philip Klein has Frank’s full statement read on the cable network of long faces here.
Smells like fear.

I’m guessing they’re hearing something over the sound waves but they’re not going to admit yet that it’s the American public. Give them a few more wins like Brown’s tonight and they might get it.
The Three Stooges are going to try to ram anything they can through as long as they can. They don’t think they need to listen to the people.
Maybe if they’d been holding pitchforks and torches, the Dem leadership and Obummer would listen.
Health Care is now DOA…
YA CAN’T WATCH A VIDEO WITH YER HEAD UP YER ARSE!
Nancy and Harry will still try to shove it “for the good of the people” (i.e. for the people’s own good).

They’re deaf and stupid – they would think it’s a weenie roast. Which in way, i guess it is.
I apologize for the redundant post, but this seems to be a better place for it:
Yet there are a shocking number of liberal Dims out there insisting that the losses in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts are the consequence of Obama not going far enough in pursuit of his radical, destructive agenda. Earlier today, Olbermann, Mathews, and Maddow were all lamenting that the Dims only salvation will come by ramming through healthcare “reform”, otherwise they will face certain defeat next November. Yesterday, the same sentiment was repeated by Katrina vanden Heuvel on ABC’s This Week. And, of course, Bill Clinton now believes that his party’s rout in 1994 was the result of its not passing a healthcare bill!
It won’t matter to the hacks and political careerists who determine Democratic party policy. The only people who make policy for the national Democrats are lifetime career pols and ideologues like Ed Markey, Anthony Weiner, Pete Stark and Nancy Pelosi in the House who never worked in the private sector. They only speak to each other and to people back home who are members of the local Democratic City committee and so they have no understanding of the real world.
Bipartisanship from that last woman. Gag! I’m partisan, sue me. Seriously, take a side or get out of the way.
Brown is a fantastic candidate. He’s got some really good lines like ‘we should use our tax dollars for bullets and bombs to fight the terrorists and not lawyers to defend them.’ He seems exceedingly likable.
But someone needs to tell him that the whole ‘people’s . . . ‘ campaign might backfire as communist speak. I know he doesn’t mean it that way and it’s a good line. But when I hear ‘the peoples’ . . . ‘ I generally think China.
It’s probably just me, but I thought I’d point it out in case someone else thought it too.
That said, it was great to see such a stunning campaign. Well done all the way around. Gas up the truck!
I’m wondering how many dems that are up for re-election are going to decide not to run again due to family reasons, tired of politics, health reasons, etc. rather than risk
TOTAL HUMILIATION
by losing their seat to unknown tea-bag patriots that have said “enough.”
One thing that jumps out is how several of them, even the Coakley voters, mouthed the same concerns that we Tea Party people have been mouthing. They are one step away from dropping their partisan slants and acknowledging that BOTH parties are united in warring on the will of citizens. That transcends any superficial differences we have gotten used to fighting over and that have kept us from uniting to defend our common interests.
The Tea Party leaders should jump all over this. Forget about Dems and Reps. Re-register NOW to unaffiliated independent. Without the 52% independents in MA, the message out of MA would have been very different in a bad way. Independents should be 52% NATIONALLY.
I think he just meant that the seat which has had a Kennedy in it since 1952(!) belongs to the people of Mass…
He ran a great campaign, and it was a great line for THIS campaign. I’m not bashing the guy who ran essentially a flawless and directed campaign on message better than most seasoned politicians (better at staying on message than Reid).
He just looked like he was starting to get carried away with the whole ‘peoples’ . . . ‘ comment by saying everything is the peoples’. Just trying to get rid of a bad habit before it starts in a guy who clearly knows what he’s doing.
Fear is right. If a Ted Kennedy’s old seat can fall to a Republican, anyone’s can… especially the one occupied by Fannie Mae’s favorite fudge packer.
Oh – you mean to the health care bill….
Bi-partisanship from that last woman? Go screw yourself and your ilk. The socialists in this country have no desire whatsoever to be bi-partisan, unless they’re losing. I’ll be bi-partisan when it’s between the right and the right-center, if that.
Talk about fear, I got polled by Friends of John McCain tonight. Methinks he’s trying to figure out his odds for reelection. I hope enough people replied to give him a taste of the rude awakening he’s in for, just like other liberals and moderates who will need to find other employment come next November. About 90 percent of Congress should be flushed. Tonight’s victory was nice, tomorrow it’s back to work to further clean house.
Now the half that want Dems in charge but hope they’ll get the idea need to hear the honest Conservative message and understand that the liberals aren’t listening and won’t be starting to, ever.
They just need to get the clue, government is not their friend and the authoritarian trolley has to reverse course.
Tomorrow morning we are going to start hearing the drum beat of Jobs, Jobs, Jobs! and Jump Starting the Economy.
These people are going to come up with some lousy garbage of legislation aimed at “putting people back to work” and, as Sen. Webb himself adimitted, they’ll try to slip in some lousy health care legislation.
They’ll all try to walk away from this health care bill as if they are our friends now. We cannot forget what they have been trying to do and who they are. Don’t trust any of them.
What Barney meant to say:
Okay, those radical rightwing extremists were right. You got us. I admit we’ve been going way overboard. We were just messin’ with ya. We were testin’ ya to see how far we could go, to see how much we could get away with. Now we know. Can we let bygones be bygones? We won’t pull it on you again, America, we promise. You believe me, right?
Sadly, some will.
I think a lot of the intial Democratic impulse is to ignore the results in Massachusetts and go full speed ahead. I give Rep. Frank kudos for acknowledging political reality and even going so far as to say he’ll vote against any health care bill that comes in before Scott is sworn in.
I don’t really care why he’s saying it at this point. He has done many weaselly things in the past, but his words this time around will go a long way in convincing the left that the fight is basically over.
I didnt know my boyfriend was growing weed. I couldnt even identify it even if it was right in front of me. Or even if it was rolled up in a joint or packed in bong and lit for me. He said it was just parsley… You believe me, right?
Sadly, some will. (And Polanski didnt think she was 13 either)
Warblermann, in response to those people who objected to his name-calling diatribe against Scott Brown: “Prove he isn’t!”
Gee, Keith, prove you didn’t fill your Depends when Coakley lost.
ECS
I feel bad that it took such an upset to(hopefully) kill Bambicare, since the “I’m sorry I voted for Obama” morons here in Pa could have stopped this long ago by keeeping Santorum, instead of electing milk-carton Casey.
Thank you Massachusetts for waking up,now if only the idiots here would follow your lead.
Bawney, I will believe that when I see it. After all your buddy sanfrannan has said we WILL have health care reform in any event. I would like to see you and her in a cat fight…bet a lot of people would pay to see it. I have found the budget saving money maker – cat fights!!!
The take on ABC news-talking-heads I heard on the radio coming home (I worked all night) was that Obama has to pull a “Clinton,” turn right-ward, and suddenly become a “centrist.”
I just don’t think Obama has the capacity to appear as anything else than what he really is–a hopeless radical leftist. I could be wrong (and I was wrong about this election), but Obama just doesn’t strike me as someone who CAN compromise his radicalism. He feels like he’s too close to becoming another FDR, and he isn’t going to give that up.
Sometimes it takes a heaping, steaming bowl of fear to warm the heart and right the mind.
I’m having a difficult time fathoming Bawney Fwank saying “Whoa” to anything bloated.
FDR at least had the fear of God in his heart. Obama is nothing less than a radical socialist/Marxist/communist with a pseudo-religion bent.
I commend Frank for “Saying that”… however, allot of “Promises” were made about hope/change/a different Washington, but yet it is has been a year of Business as Usual on Steroids. Corruption to the 10th power.
I am sure a man caused (AKA Democrat) “Crisis” will come up the next day or two that “Can’t Wait” for Brown to be seated.
Don’t trust Barney. He saw the light and is trying to look like a statesman and say all the right things.CYA in full motion. He knows he could be next.
I hope they are NOT listening. They will be slaughtered in November.
Go ahead make my day. Call us tea baggers again.
The fun has just begun.
I never thought I’d see the day. The Democrats are absolutely soiling themselves. What a monumental political shift. Maybe the greatest ever. Come on November.
Screw em. They want to be bipartisan now? I want blood. I want them all gone. Brown is great, but this is just the start. Start with the blue dogs, and every liberal POS we can take down.
Ditto that. Between now and November, most of them will be hiding behind pseudo-conservativism, hoping nobody will pin the tail on the donkey.
IT’S NOT ‘TEA BAGGERS’!
It’s not ‘jobs’! It’s not the ‘economy!’
I will not have my healthcare, that I pay for, altered, nor will I pay more for someone to have ‘free’ medical care!
That is what ‘it’ is about.
Lets see….health care bill…a couple thousand pages of words of which NO one claims to have read and understood. Most of those who have read parts say it will result in less health care at a higher price, for those who pay. Let me be perfectly clear, those who don’t pay will also get less than they do now, but still it will be free. Those who advocate this bill want NO one to read and try to understand it. This is Political Science
Side bar note to science students be kind to those are flunking out in Chem and Bio 1a…because you will be working for them some day as they leave and go on to the Real science of politics.
Frank is a loser of major proportions but yet still wins in his district. I guess they have no better alternatives. What a shame.
Scott Brown: I love the smell of a full Democrat diaper pail in the morning! It smells like victory!
His days are numbered and he knows it. And Dingy Harry: You can start thinking about how you can spend that money in your offshore account because come November you are outta here!
Nope..nada…can’t believe a word of it. Not a single word. Both Repubs and Dems will say ANYTHING to get re-elected. Like JT said: we want blood! And any dem who uses the word bipartisan is just blowing smoke!
