Massachusetts Senate race: Voter Fraud watch; Update: Coakley’s last gasp
Scroll for updates…Coakley’s last gasp…

I’ll be keeping tabs on voter fraud reports in the Mass. Senate special election today. Flag any reports you’ve seen/heard in comments or send me an e-mail.
1) Election Journal, the website that exposed the New Black Panther Party thugs’ voter intimidation tactics in Philadelphia in November 2008, is on the ground in Massachusetts today.
They’ve just posted video of a woman in Lawrence, MA, carrying around blank absentee ballots in Spanish today. She explains how she’s telling people to mark Martha Coakley’s name. The woman handing out the ballots identifies herself as “Isabel Melendez” and says she has a talk show in which she promoted Coakley’s candidacy.
The deadline to apply for absentee ballots for the January 19, 2010 special election for US Senate was Friday, January 15.
More on Melendez: She’s a “community activist” in Lawrence who has run for public office before.
Here’s a piece from 2003 on her involvement in aggressive voter registration campaigns:
Melendez, who said her fire for community activism was fueled by her own frustrations trying to make a good life for herself in Lawrence after emigrating from Puerto Rico, has been personally registering local residents to vote for several years. Now she hopes to take that a step further with a volunteer program that will go beyond registrations. Although the plan is in its infancy, Melendez said that in a nutshell, she envisions a team of volunteers on election days combing voter lists and asking those who haven’t voted to please come out.
“It will benefit the community as a whole,” she said..” Since my arrival here, I’ve noticed that the voter-participation percentage has gone down. And it ‘s not just Latinos; it ‘s everyone in Lawrence. I want to motivate everyone to vote.”

3) Steven Ertelt at LifeNews.com reports that phony calls are telling Massachusetts voters that MA Citizens for Life opposes Brown. Not true.
Behind in the polls to Republican Senate candidate Scott brown, supporters of pro-abortion candidate Martha Coakley have evidentially reached into their bag of dirty tricks. A Washington, D.C. based company is making calls to Massachusetts residents pretending to represent a prominent pro-life group.
The calls, from 202-461-3441, a Washington number registered to a company called SOOH, claim to be from Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
The caller claims the pro-life group is opposing Scott brown because of his stance against the health care bill, but as MCFL president Anne Fox told LifeNews.com late Monday, the opposite is true.
“Pro-lifers are receiving phone calls from people claiming to be Massachusetts Citizens for Life. The callers say that MCFL is not supporting Scott Brown because of his position on health care,” she said. “The truth is that Massachusetts Citizens for Life is supporting Brown because of his position on health care.”
The same number is also making calls to other state residents with various messages all attacking Brown.
“Pro-lifers are not the only victims of this scam. Our MCFL sleuths have found that this same number is calling people across the state claiming to be different groups with different messages — all anti-Brown,” Fox added.
Fox is hoping to get the message out to voters today that MCFL supports Brown and wants Coakley defeated because she is an extreme pro-abortion candidate.

4) Electioneering is not allowed at polling places. Can someone alert the Coakley campaign?
***
5) GOP Rep. Steve King of Iowa is volunteering as an “election watcher.”
King is working with what he called a “band of constitutionalists” who have driven or flown into Massachusetts for the final push before tomorrow’s special election.
“There are about 12 different locations for the Brown campaign working across the state. There are phone-callers there; get-out-the-vote people; there are people who are poll watchers; there are people that are looking for something to do. A lot of Massachusetts people mobilized, too,” King said. “And I’m coming to the conclusion that there are more conservatives in Massachusetts than there are in Iowa.”
***
6) Hearing from readers that voters in Malden were asked to identify who they were going to vote for before they were allowed to vote.
***
7) Reader J. e-mails: “My mom, is an 82 year old election worker, at the Greenlodge School in Dedham, Ma..she came home for lunch today and told my dad of a large bundle of absentee ballots from the local nursing home (Care Matrix) that had been dropped off at her polling place…the poll workers were wondering how the ballots could be assured as authentic…I thought all absentee ballots were to be submtted to the town clerk’s office by last friday…hmmm…I sure would love to follow up on the nursing home vote…there are plenty of Alzheimer’s patients who can not possibly have the mental capacity to vote….who is it that ‘helps’ these people to vote?”

8. MA Secretary of State William Galvin is investigating voter fraud reports in Cambridge and Brighton.

9) Wonderful: A uniformed security guard waves a Coakley sign outside a polling place, via Election Journal:
***
10) Coakley’s last gasp: She’s claiming voter fraud in lib-dominated precincts in Democrat machine-controlled Massachusetts.
Triple-snort-worthy.
Weirdly, her press release decrying claimed fraud is dated…yesterday. That was quick: They’ve already fixed the date…
Campaign Manager Kevin Conroy:
We’ve received several independent and disturbing reports of voters across the state being handed ballots that are already marked in favor of Scott Brown. This is obviously a serious violation, and our legal team is taking immediate steps to protect the integrity of this election.
We do not yet know why this is happening, but you and everyone you know needs to be aware of the situation so that you can carefully inspect your ballot. If a vote has already been marked, you must return the ballot to the elections official, demand a clean ballot, and call our Voter Protection Hotline at 617-351-6866.
Note how quickly the Coakley legal team acted…as opposed to the negligent behavior of AG Coakley in response to allegations of SEIU abuse of taxpayer-funded resources to campaign on her behalf.
Jim Geraghty shares a note from a media source:
Kevin Conroy, Coakley’s campaign manager, says “we have gotten several disturbing incidents from the polls calling the integrity of this election into question.”
Nobody’s taking this live; the word “desperation” is being tossed around this newsroom…

Isabelle just working for the oppressed!
Michelle, time to reboot the server, site is wicked slo….
I need more context. Did she say she is making copies and has started a TV show? Who is the person talking with her?
Any voting fraud is bad.
Please tell me they can’t steal this one…. Call in Jimmy Carter. He’ll know what to do.
Man! They just can’t play straight, can they?
Ah, Lawrence, MA, home of newly elected mayor Willie Lantigua, who never debated and never spoke English during his entire campaign.
Hopefully, Brown has some election monitors watching Lawrence.
What’s sad about the donkey party is that I expect them to cheat. Not, “I hope they won’t cheat.” I expect them to.
What’s doubly sad is that they don’t fail to live up to expectations.
How close are we to banana republic territory, anyway, when non-Domestic Enemy candidates have to win “outside the margin of fraud?”
Here is the context:
“She explains how she’s telling people to mark Martha Coakley’s name. The woman handing out the ballots identifies herself as “Isabel Melendez” and says she has a talk show in which she promoted Coakley’s candidacy.”

“The deadline to apply for absentee ballots for the January 19, 2010 special election for US Senate was Friday, January 15.”
I am waiting for 10,000 ballots to be discovered in the trunk of a car any moment now.
Like they say in the South Eastern Conference: “If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying.”
Hey Democrats…. “Che is dead. Get over it.” Pass the margaritas, this is gonna be good.
I am just waiting for the state of MA to start investigations into these fradulent phone calls and other blantantly fraudelent claims that have been made regarding brown….oh wait the MA AG is the Dem in the race…nevermind.
Do we really need the U.N. to come in here and monitor this election?
Let’s hope the adults prevail.
So handing out blank absentee ballots is okay as long as she isn’t making copies today? And what does it matter whether she has a TV show or not?
Shouldn’t you be asking how she got blank absentee ballots? Shouldn’t you be asking why she is giving them out? Aren’t those the real questions?
Maybe you want to know if she could have saved 15% on her auto insurance or had a V8?
Blank absentee ballots should not be valid. Only ballots pre-printed with the voters information so they can verify the voter only voted absentee should be valid. I believe this is the case in most states. If not in this election, they are just asking for fraud.
But then again they don’t really care how they win as long as they win.
I am very surprised the bogus phone calls are from DC and not Chicago!
Surprise level 0.00
Of course, what did anyone expect? It’s the only way the liberals can steal the election
Remember this year the most important state office you need to vote for is not your governor, it is the Secretary of State.
See the people of Washington and Mineesota for details.
The ACORN vote is checking in …
John Ratzenberger at a Brown rally:
Cheers.
The fact that Brown is even a conternder should be a clear message that Americans do not want Obamacare. That is the truth no matter who wins the Mass Senate seat today. Considering the calls for cheating from media personalities and actual cheating noted on this video: It is clear to me that of Croakley wins the seat, it is through fraud. If she is declared a winner, better prepare for a whole new type of revolt.
Why has she not be arrested on the spot?
What are they waiting for more evidence that a crime has been committed?
Unbelievable!
Sorry off topic: Just heard Obama talking up a multi-billion dollar “education” spend.
Is it my imagination or does he whistle through his teeth when he speaks? Weird impediment.
They don’t enforce election laws anymore. Or immigration laws. Or labor laws…
The said thing is that if Brown wins….the Democrats will say that Brown stole the election through fraud.
Hissy Matthews, Olberdork, Sgt Schultz, and the alphabet media will have guest after guest after guest professing knowledge of how it was done…….ALL WITH NO PROOF! Coverage of this will go on and on and on. Its the ol liberal playbook.
Hopefully Brown does win. Now if Voinoprick or one of the other RINO’S votes for Maobama’s health care agenda I will freakin explode.
The Donks were taken by surprise by this special election, so I think Brown will win despite their feeble attempts to steal it.
But they will be ready to use every trick in the book from now to November to keep their grip in DC.
We need to come out in droves to volunteer as watch dogs in the registration, voting and counting process if we want to take back the country.
MAYBE WE NEED TO ROBOCALL THAT D.C. NUMBER AND SHUT DOWN THEIR SYSTEM.
Errah, but I’m casting all my votes today for Brown. What can Brown do for you?! Hopefully stop Obamacare!
I think in 2010 we need to get the TEA Party movement to recruit 6 to 12 volunteers with video recorders to stand at every polling place in America and record what goes on all day long!
They are going to continue to pull out all the stops to make sure the vote is rigged. The Democrats are “too big to fail.”
Or the attempts will be blatant (due to the short prep time) that it will finally garner some attention.
I’m sure the Republicans are doing just as many illegal things as the Dems. Oh wait – no – it’s ALWAYS the Dems who practice voter fraud.
You’ve stuck your ear up to an empty conch shell before right? It’s not his teeth…
Not surprised. The Democratic party is a criminal enterprise.
I hope though that if Croakley wins through fraud there will be plenty of lawsuits filed. If we don’t stop corruption now, we’ll find ourselves living under a Saddam Hussein or Hugo Chavez.
Don’t worry – she’s so mad she’ll make sure some innocent guy spends more time in jail…
I’m sure holder will get right on this gal like he did with the black panthers!Keep an eye on ALL things going on in MA please voters. I can hardly wait till the votes come in tonight for a Scott win.
L
One thing the Founding Fathers should have enacted, and we enforce, is death penalties for voter fraud. Voting integrity is a foundation of this country. Quite frankly, I find it more egregious than what we consider as serious crime.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! John Ratzenberger, quote of the day!
And she will fight to the bitter end to ensure he stays there!

Breaking News: Based on exit polls by SEIU, ACORN, and Deval Patrick, MSNBC has awarded the Mass. US Senate seat to
MarciaMartha Coakley. Andrea Mitchell states that Repubs should not waste their time and drive out into the country and enjoy the sunshine.Ok so you have an AG’s(i.e. the top law enforcement officer in the state)campaign illegally placing signs in front of polling places. She should either be prosecuted for the crimes or prosecute those who committed the crimes and make an example out of her/them seeing as she knows better.
I’ve been known to pull up ANYONE’S signs outside of a voting place. My candidate or the rival. I won’t put up with it. Of course, we are talking MA
Bingo!
During the 2000 prez elections in FL, reporters discovered punch-type voting machines and blank ballots in the car of the person in charge of the district. He’s a democrat, by the way. Nothing happened to him.
The person taking the video of Ms. Melendez should have made a citizen’s arrest.
No, wait, TooMuchTime, zyzyzyzyzggggygygygzzyzyzzy needs “more context.” Don’t jump to conclusions.
They probably would have been hit with a hate crimes charge if they had.
Obowmao: Ziggy acted stupidly.
I don’t understand how the authorities in the various locations allow those signs to remain, clearly violating FEDERAL election law?
Is NOT enforcing the law in itself a violation of at least the oaths taken by these cretinous officials? Can’t they be held accountable?
We’re already living under a Houssein.
To be clear: I am against voter fraud in any way. shape and form.
That being said, if there are LEGAL ways to assist people to vote, and they are willing to back your candidate because you cared enough to assist them, the GOP would be STUPID not to take advantage of it the way the Dems are apparently doing.
And for the record, absentee ballots are blank for all military personnel as provided on base. You can get pre-printed ballots if you request them early from your state. Just saying, all blank ballots are not illegal.
The Federal write in ballots are blank, but this is not a federal election. As for the state ballots I can not say for certain about MA ballots being blank or not, but WA ST are pre-filled out. They do have blank provissional ballots at the polling places (the few polling places still operating that is).
No. And, who said it was?
Because someone could watch it and post it to You Tube, providing additional information about the woman and her agenda. Because someone could file a complaint with the FCC if she violates the law. Because it was not clear on the tape.
No. You ask your questions, and I will ask mine.
It was unclear to me from the video what she is doing exactly. I would have liked to see a wide shot of her actually handing out ballots. It is called more context. A 28 second video that is difficult to hear clearly (maybe it is the language thing) requires more.
Would copies of ballots even be accepted in MA? I have been an election judge in MD, and we wouldn’t accept them here. Again, more context and more information. Are copies of ballots accepted in MA?
There are plenty of real questions to ask. There is more context to be had. Obviously, you agree because you have questions, too.
No. There was nothing in the video that would lead me ask those questions?
See how easy it is to address questions. You ought to try it sometime.
BTW, do you agree with the statement I made in post #3? “Any voter fraud is bad.”
At our polling place there was one of those huge Martha Coakley banners planted next to the entrance to the parking lot – but my husband said it was at least 150 feet away from the entrance to the building, so it was in compliance with the law.
The interesting thing is that there were three or four people standing in front of the sign with signs for Scott Brown – and one of them was a big homemade sign. One lone Coakley supporter stood there with them – and it was friendly (even saw one of the Brown people give the guy a quick hug).
A little further down the street another small group stood at an intersection holding signs for Scott Brown – not a single sign for Coakley there.
And this is as the snow continues to fall here – snow or an icy wintry mix. I commented on what a beautiful day it is to the group at the parking lot entrance, and got big smiles and thumbs up from my fellow Brown supporters.
It really is a beautiful day.
There’s obviously two groups in this country that will never agree: liberal communist bottom-feeders and those who value life and liberty. How about ending this bad relationship and split the country in two and see where we are in 2 years? We will be free, prosperous, strong and the envy of the world. They will be North Korea II (or West Korea). Dibs on the warm weather states.
The fraud will happen in the courthouse after the election and the hapless GOP will eat the Dem “win” like they always do.
b-cat
No kiddin’ on that first part. He seems to think that the party of their fathers and grandfathers was something to be proud of. No, Mr. Ratzenberger, it is not. Nothing about the party which created the Klan, pushed every racist law this nation ever had, brought us “whites only” lunch counters and drinking fountains, and commisserated with and aided the Communist party is something to look back upon with fond pride.
Your grandfathers’ party created the black ghetto to re-enslave the blacks under Democrats once again. These ghettos were to be given to Saul Alinsky and Margaret Sanger so that they could have a whole population upon which to work their demonic experiments.
There is absolutely nothing about the Democratic party, in any time period of American history, which anyone should be proud of. They are the most shameful, racist, and wicked organization that our nation has ever produced. John Ratzenberger needs to think about his reminiscences before speaking them out loud. Ask Trent Lott.
If Brown wins by 10 I’ll assume he really won by 20.
There are a lot of rules for absentee voting- I certainly do not know what the Massachusetts laws entail. Military members can vote absentee in state elections with Voting Officer assistance.
I do remember the Dems were trying to nullify absentee ballots form MILITARY members during the last presidential election based on all kinds of technicalities but nothing was ever said (to my knowledge) about individual citizens and absentee ballots. I can only guess why.
Excellent documentation of election “irregularities” committed by the mangy democrats! We must be vigilant as to what happens after the polls close, i.e. who is counting the vote and will both sides be present to verify a fair count?
If a Democratic GOTV van pulls up to a precinct with multiple voters, volunteers need to follow that van when it leaves the precinct.
See if the van drops the voters off back at their homes, or if the van goes to another precinct for those people to vote again.
Since all that is required is an address and name, with no ID check, there is nothing in place to stop people from showing up and voting as long as they know a valid address and name in that precinct. A single “handler” in the van could have a list of info, and tell them what to say at each precinct.
How many different precincts would a single vanload of “voters” visit in a single day?
And what if they aren’t even MA residents, but rather SEIU thugs bussed in from other states?
Video proof of such fraud could be exactly the thing that is needed in order to put better safeguards on the voting process between now and November.
We must address fraud NOW, not later.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ for all election fraud to be exposed, prevented, prosecuted, and convicted.
God Save the People and our Republic!

You’re absolutely right. These folks are quite predictable now, and they are all in full-on Lie Mode. It’s gotten quite brazen. I think they do it because they know it works. If only 10% of their incessant lying can somehow permeate the thinking of their viewers, then they’ve succeeded.
They have gone beyond the pale. Yesterday I read two pieces at NewsBusters, one about an interview with this Mike Malloy P.O.S. by someone named Maddow on MSNBC, and another about the meltdown-tirade of Olbermann.
After reading the select quotes on NB by Malloy, and reading the transcript of KO’s rant, I can’t help but wonder just how many weeks we are from these people openly advocating murder, and calling for extermination of conservatives?
How many weeks. We’re that close, folks. These people want mass graves, with us in ‘em. It’s becoming apparant, they know it’s becoming apparant – they’re taking off the mask, since we (their enemy) can all see behind it anyway.
Why should this time be any different than any other time when communism, fascism, and socialism was foisted upon an unwilling population? It’ll be the same, only this time the usurping, invading, infiltrating force is more efficient, more high-tech, than ever before.
Give it a couple of weeks, someone will top both Olbermann and Malloy and call for violence or worse.
Taqiyyotomist, except, how many of them own or know how to effectively use firearms? Good luck with that plan.
That woman needs to go to jail. Someone contact the Massachusetts Attorney General Marta Coakley and have her start an investi….
wait…..
Nevermind.
Agreed. Here in the Bog State that office is held by Bill Galvin, the guy who is suddenly all concerned about counting absentee ballots – chap will cite the law, but the point is that the law never seemed to concern Galvin in the past.
It’s not for nothing that his nickname on Beacon Hill is the Prince of Darkness.
Nah…. he should have asked to help……..had her lead him to her stash of blank ballots……. and taken them all from her.
While praying is good, I think this is something we should take care of ourselves. Push for positive, biometric voter IDs and fraud prevention databases from your reps. Jesus is busy in Haiti.
From the article:”The deadline to apply for absentee ballots for the January 19, 2010 special election for US Senate was Friday, January 15.”
She is breaking the law by handing out any absentee ballots because she is violating the deadline for getting a legal absentee ballot.
Why has she not been arrested?
Why can’t someone in the area simply call the police department and report her illegal activity? If the locals don’t do squat, call the State Police. If they don’t do squat, call the feds.
RE: absentee ballots. Duhh moment for me…
Is she accepting the ‘then marked’ ballots herself??
Otherwise, how would a voter who received one of these blank/absentee ballots be able to walk into the polls and place that specific ballot into the box?? And without any supervision?
Even in the cobalt blue area of my district, you give your name (flash ID!), receive a ballot and walk to the ‘booth/machine’. All the while someone is sitting by the ballot box watching what goes on.
How does this woman get stopped? Did anybody go get the election judge??
Speakeasy, in that post, I wasn’t actually predicting the mass graves, only that within weeks, these people will be making K.O.’s recent rant look like nicey-nicey talk, and that their comments will gravitate toward, if not outright emulate, Hitlerian thought, regardless of how many guns exist in American households.
The prediction there was about the prominent lib talkers and what they minght be talking about in a few weeks.
Mass graves are still a couple years out.

If a candidate can’t win without cheating and voter fraud then that candidate is not what is best for the country. Where is the integrity, morality or self-respect? What is wrong with people who feel the need to lie and cheat their way to the top? What does it say about their ideas? We don’t need morally bankrupt people influencing elections to get their cronies elected.
Brit Hume made an interesting point on Fox last night about this race.
If Coakley loses, that could end up being better for the Despercrats than if she wins.
The reason being that, if she loses, the national fervor against imperious Despercrat behaviour might subside; and thus, their state of hyper-paranoia over the 11/2010 elections could diminish a bit.
However, if she wins, and the Pelosian felons ram the health care bill through, then all hell could break loose for them in that election.
Well, this goes a long way toward explaining the current state of affairs in Maryland!
Understatement of the eon.
And where are the Democrats who oppose cheating??? Big name democrats would do themselves a world of good with ‘the people’ if they came out against election fraud.

zyzzy, have you found and stopped any cheating that would have benefited your candidate? Would you have been slow to make a decision? You wanted more info on this one, how quickly could you stop it?
Probably the most intelligent thing you have ever said to me.
Absolutely, conclusions should not be jumped to. And, that is why you would want me on the jury if you were a defendant. I would wait for all the evidence to be heard before making a decision.
No.
Of course Republicans can do sleazy things too. I get a letter Saturday with “2010 Congressional District Census” on the envelope. Naturally, I know the US Census is going to be done soon. I open it up to see that it’s a Republican Party mailing. It’s one of those stupid things that tries to make it look like they’re listening, but it’s just for fund raising. They most likely look in the reply for a check, and throw out the rest.
Deceitful mailing. Too bad they keep showing us they haven’t learned how to earn our trust yet.
I heard that too last night and saw that as a positive but rather weak outlook. Any millimeter closer to a health care bill is wrong.
If Brown wins, I will have just as much energy to continue the fight, but it will come from optimism rather than anger.
zyzzyg said:
Ok — I jumped to conclusions.
As an election judge, I did not have a candidate. My first priority was to the people of MD and ensuring that the process and rules were followed.
Were I to witness any level of fraud I would stop it immediately.
Note: Election judges work in the polling places. I don’t know where the video was taken. Do you? See, a need for more context.
Really? What conclusion did you jump to? You asked me a question. And, I answered it.
It is really easy to answer questions.
zyzzyg, in listening to the video the lady said she has a radio talk show and she dedicated yesterdays show to the election to be held “tomorrow”. So I suppose she was handing out these things the 18th, after the 15th.
So back to my comment #74, how do ‘after the deadline ballots’ get into the official count?
So you don’t always support/vote or want the democrat to win?
Many thanks to all of Michelle’s MA readers who voted for Scott Brown. Our country thanks you for the vote against ObamaCare and socialism. Fingers crossed in Florida!
Not only bad, but evil! Come on say it with me now Eeeee, you can do it! viiilll! Attaboy! Now was that so hard?
SWEEEEET!
No need to thank us. It was a pleasure. Snow and sleet couldn’t have kept us from the polls – in fact, it didn’t!
They could send a reporter to the Coakley offices to tell them about the no-campaigning rule, but they’d be assaulted by the staff.
Boo-Freakin-Hoo sums up my feelings for those poor depressed democrats. And to make their depression worse; let me remind them that there are only 287 days until election day, when they will find themselves once again the minority party.
Maybe today will be the first day of the new revolution and the beginning of the Take Back America revolt.
May God Bless America
I wonder, if Brown wins, will the Dem suicides be shown on C-Span?
Many folks out here in Colorado have donated money to Scott Brown’s campaign. We are 2 hours behind East Coast Time so we’re gettin’ antsy. Eagerly praying for his election and for the patriots of Massachusetts.
The same place where unicorns and moderate muslims are.
I don’t know how ‘after the deadline ballots’ get into the official count. The reality is that they shouldn’t.
A bit of a leading question, but of course not.
Geese how The Almighty has a mischievous sense of humor.
Last year, he uses Minnesota to dump Franken on us.
This year, as compensation, he uses Taxachusetts to dump Brown on them.
I hope he’s enjoying his Celestial Martini as he views all this from above.
Snow and sleet don’t keep me from the polls either. Sorry.
