The Twitter-meter: Just how upset are liberals about Massachusetts?; Update: Roger Ebert pouts

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 19, 2010 08:53 PM

Regular readers of this blog know that liberal hate mail is an inevitability. But there’s been a considerable uptick in unhinged nasty-grams as Martha Antoinette Coakley’s campaign collapsed over the past week.

Just how upset are liberals about the Massachusetts/Obama meltdown?

Take a look (language warning as always):

In other liberal Twitter moaning, lefty film critic Roger Ebert wins Best Sore Loser Performance:

This is the difference between these liberal nuts and conservatives. Conservatives can deliver a meaningful speech in victory or defeat without childish name-calling and vulgar statements. But then again, if you are a childish liberal I guess the only thing you can do is to engage in name calling and vulgarisms.

IMHO graciousness in victory is even more important than graciousness in defeat.

And as much as I detested Ted Kennedy – both for his politics and his immoral behavior – the fact remains that he did look out for the interests of his home state. Like Tip O’Neal, Ted understood that all politics is local.

So I have no problem with Scott’s gracious acknowledgment of the Kennedy legacy, a legacy that extends back to 1952 when John F. Kennedy was elected to the same senate seat that Scott Brown was just elected to.
