The Barack-y Horror Picture Show

President Obama is on the campaign trail again in Ohio for yet another bottomless-spending “jobs bill.” He recycled his “I will fight for you” lines circa 2008, bashed the insurance companies (that have been meeting with his pal Tom Daschle and visiting the White House over the past year negotiating the best Demcare deals they can), and channeled Scott Brown-style populism — droppin’ his g’s as he talked ’bout the hard-workin’ people who drive the same kind of trucks he bashed Brown for driving last week.
Yes, Obama is promising the little people he’ll fight for them once he gets to the White House (never mind that he’s been there fighting against them for the last 12 months):
Let’s do the time warp again. It’s just a jump to the left…:
Jim Geraghty Tweets: I’m watching a man who has steadily expanded government spending try to get a crowd to chant, ‘we want our money back’.”
The usual q-and-a includes audience members asking Obama to heal them.
Remember Henrietta Hughes?
Welcome to Year Two of Obama’s Mega-Church of Government — known to the rest of us as the Barack-y Horror Picture Show (thanks to Michael T. for the suggestion).

Context, via The Hill:
The presidential visit comes as Ohio’s Democratic governor is facing a tough reelection battle. Gov. Ted Strickland was swept into office in the Democratic tide of 2006, but since then the economy in Ohio has remained stagnant.
The Buckeye State is grappling with a budget crisis and unemployment has reached 10.9 percent. Strickland is expected to face John Kasich, a former Republican congressman who also worked for Fox News Channel and Lehman Brothers, in the general election. Kasich has led Strickland in some recent polls.
Still, Strickland sounds upbeat about his chances in November.
“I wouldn’t say it’s gone wrong with me politically. I am dealing with a recession that obviously was not of my own making. But I am responsible for managing the affairs of Ohio as we move through this recession and get to recovery. Quite frankly, some of our own internal polls are not as negative as those that have been published,” he told The Atlantic last week.
Ohio is considered a battleground state in part because it’s on the frontline of the 2012 redistricting fight. The state is expected to lose two of its 18 congressional seats during reapportionment after the Census is complete, and whichever party holds the governor’s mansion will have leverage.
The governor is one five members of the state’s Apportionment Board, which redraws the state’s congressional and legislative districts. The plan ultimately has to be approved by the state Legislature and then signed by the governor.
The governor can use the threat of a veto to influence the way the Legislature draws up the new districts, said Douglas Johnson, a fellow at the Rose Institute who studies redistricting. “Veto power gives them negotiating power.”
Should Ohio swing Republican in 2010, it could also spell trouble for Obama’s 2012 reelection bid.

Errah was he clutching a gun or bible? Where’s Axleholerod?
It’s just a jump to the left, and a step to the right.
Now that the GOP has returned to full RINO mode, who is going to fight for our side? Keep in mind that the Gangs of McCain are fully invested in the Dem argument that conservatives are the problem.
Errah the Gangs of McCain are reforming indeed. I saw Lindsey Gramnesty reading his conservative talking points with Gretta Scarface the other night. It was on some old yellow parchment that he’s squirreled away for the past several years. When is his expiration date due?

And it’s strangely appropriate here… Obama has made a massive jump to the left, and now is pretending to do a little step to the right.
Hey all you Lefty Limp-Wrists, drink some this!
There’s an old southern expression “when someone tells you how honest he is, grab your wallet because he will steal you blind.” When someone tells you he’ll fight for you, grab the wallet with both hands because he plans to steal you blind AND raise your taxes.
He just keeps stoking that
OPERATION OVER-REACH machine.
It’s glowing red, and puffing steam!!!!
Keep-a-stoking, Barry!!!
Thanks for the link Andrew Sullivan, now you can go back to your Palin OB/GYN duties.
Don’t you mean this?
Sounds to me more like he’s playing Twister.
I thought the Rocky Horror Picture Show was a warped type of creativity…now I realize it was harbinger of things to come!
Hitler got crazier as he gained more power
Barack will get crazier as he loses more and more control
He will grasp at everything he can to maintain his power
This man is a megalomaniac
the song and dance man; mr bojangles. dance , mr bojangles, dance. the people know that only 250B of the 700B of the tarp money was spent on bank bailouts, and every dime with interest has been paid back. what hasn’t been paid back is the billions spent on fannie, freddie, gm, gmac, chrysler, and aig. so keep dancing about banks need to pay back the money while ignoring the dirtbags who took the money and haven’t paid it back. again the chicago way. then you took 775B in stimulus money, and blew it on keeping state gubmint workers employed while 17% of private company workers lost their jobs. we get it, bojangles, so keep on dancing for 9 more months. we’ll see if you can dance to the music we’ll be playing in november.
I might suggest to everyone, who like Beck, to watch his show on Fox today at 5et. He said it would not be for small children because of the content. It is about how the progressive movement got started and how things are going in our Republic.

The same kind of trucks he would target in his crap and tax legislation.
By the way Obama has vowed not to “walk away” from health care.
And the market has dropped another 150 pts so far today…Yep the economy is getting sooo much better with Obama “fighting” for us little people.
If you watched the whole performance, he morphed health care into being a jobs program. That means there will be something in there for amnesty as well as cap and trade. That’s how it works.
Unfortunately, as of Tuesday, Steele/McCain & gangs are leading the polymorphic Republican life forms. who form the “opposition”. Hah! That’s a larf!
Wha the means is that you will need some health care when he destroys all the private sector jobs and you begin to starve in the style of the old soviet union
Or Venezuela
Meatloaf Again????
This man never stops. It’s as though he can’t hear what’s going on in the world.
I think this is classic narcissism.
Apparantly he wants to be ridden out on a rail!
every time he does this it reminds me of this little ditty:
Errah here in the Peoples Republic of MD (CA calls us Mini Me) we have a Green Healthcare Jobs Initiative.
A leopard can’t change it’s spots… He jumped into this role during the campaign and then jumped right back to his liberal ways.
you put your right foot in
you put your right foot out
you put your right foot in
and you shake it all about
you do the hokey pokey
and you turn around
thats what its all about
Green Health care initiative….is that where you grow molds and fungus or where you tell children to eat their veggies?
Yes: President Hokey-bama. I like that!
The time warp was good, but this situation makes me think more of SNL;
“Images by Tyrone Greene”
Dark and lonely on a summer’s night.
Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.
Watchdog barking. Do he bite?
Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.
Slip in his window. Break his neck.
Then his house I start to wreck.
Got no reason. What the heck?
Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.
C-I-L-L my land lord!
The problem is he’s claiming that the banks, et al., stole those people’s money and jobs when it was the Federal Government that did it.
Hope is not a plan; not all change is good. WE are the civilian national security force! Raising taxes and blaming the banks is a sure way to force this country into a real depression. The resistance is here; the resistance is now! RESIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Boy another ‘Jobs’ bill.
The math (that is no longer taught in government schools) is pretty simple.
Ask ‘Who pays a government employee’s paycheck?’
The answer of course is the taxpayer.
The more ‘government jobs’ created the higher the tax load on all productive workers builds, grows and by the way, is avoided thru loopholes provided by attorneys.
Where does that lead? Tax avoidance is legal.
More Government Jobs can only lead to more deficits and debt, which if made illegal or regulated as a percentage of provable revenues would lead to a quandary. Would it not?
Isn’t the purpose of our election of Senators and Representatives to address these quandaries with the good of the citizen in the forefront of their efforts?
It looks like the only thing Obama will be able to get under the number 10 is the market. It dropped another 216 pts today and is sitting at 10,172.
Ohio gets to actually do their own redistricting? They’re lucky. The courts did ours last time.
Glad to see it. He’s a great Republican campaigner…Virgina, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
Oh, gee, I hope he does. The best thing that could happen for conservatives is for leftists to continue to live in their fantasy world where they think the “real” voters support their socialist dreams. They could lose a hundred seats or more in the House. Our big problem is finding real conservatives to run against both the leftists and the RINOs. Time’s running short.
It will be interesting what ‘The Won’ rationalizes as ‘Progress’, advancement and accomplishments in his ‘State of the Union’ address.
The main thrust behind the Health Insurance Debacle was his hubristic desire to have an ‘accomplishment’ to brag up in this address. Scheduled for Wednesday 1-27 so far, it may be postponed. After all only an occasional report to Congress is required.
It can even be in document form. It doesn’t require a joint session of Congress. Maybe The Won can even arrange another Panic, Pandemic or Emergency to delay the news cycle. You know how that has been so helpful.
With no scalps to show the Chief has to be wary of the more rambunctious warriors.
I heard Obama hollering “We’ll get your money back.” What you didn’t hear was him whispering was “into my pockets.”
Yeah I was onto the same thing. Since I am the employer, I can tell you I don’t need any more help.
I listened to Obama’s speech in Ohio, where he stated: “I walked into office a year ago in the middle of a raging economic storm that was wreaking devastation on your town and communities everywhere.”
I noticed that he pronounced wreaking as wrecking. I am curious, was the word misspelled on the teleprompter? Does he not pay attention to what he is reading? I would think that someone as brilliant as Obama is supposed to be would have used both the correct word and pronunciation. I know this is petty, but these sort of things just seem to keep on coming – along with the destruction of wealth and prosperity in this nation.

I guess Comrade Obama’s (PBUH) death panel turned “thumbs down” on health care for the skeleton in the coffin!

Maybe Hillary could hit the RESET button and time-warp him back to life.

The key for now is to identify specific races like Rubio in FL and DeVore in CA where Jim DeMint can confront the liberal RNC pick. The more such contests that can be identified, the better. Let’s not allow ourselves to be swayed by the noseholders. MA was a unique anomally where a liberal Republican was at the right place at the right time. If the noseholders want to claim that it proves that liberals are the only ones who can get elected, they do so at their own peril.
It is important to continue demonstrating where the real power lies. It is not among the big tent, big government, one-world-without-borders country club elite. So long as they won’t even speak our name, they are a bigger problem for us than the Dems themselves.
the more he lies, and accuses, and smears, and denigrates our way of life and our society, the more people hate his guts.
arrogant jagoff doing what he did today, but that’s the true Marxist. they never quit because to them they are never wrong. it’s a life struggle, don’t you know, fellow traveler?
I’m just wondering if it is psychologically/physiologically possible to hate him more than I do already.
So despite the fact that he keeps implementing policies and regulations that destroy jobs we are supposed to believe everything will be okay because he is holding “jobs seminars.”
It is clear this idiot has no idea how the real world works. And we are going to pay for it any way that it works out!
Well, Jimmy Carter can relax now. He is no longer the worst president in American history. That superlative belongs to someone else now!
Memo to Barry:
The campaign is over. Unfortunately you won. Stop campaigning now. When you become president you need a level of dignity and decorum. The Town Hall meme is condescending, wearying and kind of creepy now.
Also, the wall board plant in Ohio where you promised to save everybody’s jobs last time is now closed. You didn’t then and you won’t now. You are not the solution, you are the problem.
Sincerely
We the real people
Let’s see, at the Ohio Jobs fair in Elyria, Oh, Obama said, “You see your pay check shrinking, home values falling, and the cost of evrything else going up.” Later in answer to a question he said, “Well, cost have not risen.” Meaning that the cost of living has been recalculated from groundbeef to chicken fat. Try that on the slipery slope of the Cost of Living.
He said, “I ran for this office to deal with the economy.” Yea, right, Let us give a little of the tax-payers economy to the unions.
And how about this is the most transparent administration ever? “We released the visitors list to the White House for the first time by any administration.” This was an FOIA demand and threatend law suit.
How about Student Loans, Obama wants the government to take over Student Loans, and this the outfit that cannot run a whore house, ie. the Mustang Ranch.
And of course it is the banks fault the housing market crashed, not Fannie and Freddie, and we want our money back from the banks…How about GM and Chrystler???
Looks like we are now seening the canoe being rowed the other side, but they are still going in circles, only the other way around.
I went to Barack’s pep rally today at Lorain Community College. Correct that, I went to the demonstration across the street from the college since tickets were controlled. What better way to pack a hall with enthusiastic supporters. The protesters were only allowed across the 4 lane street and never came within a 1/4 mile of the Obama motorcade. Security was nothing short of amazing. A cop car on every corner and a Coast Guard helicopter continually circling the crowd with it’s surveillance cameras. What really impressed me were the 200 protesters who hiked up to half a mile to stand in the cold and wave their signs. Unfortunately they closed the street 1-/2 hours before Obama arrived so the protesters were virtually locked in and there were no cars passing by them on the 4 lane state high highway. I have several pictures of some pretty clever home made signs but alas Obama never even got a chance to see them.
As background, the venue was in Elyria Ohio, a once thriving industrial town. Elyria is 30 miles west of downtown Cleveland in Lorain County. The area is heavily Democratic with an exceptionally strong union influence. Unemployment is in the 11% range.Obama visited a company that made precision parts for wind turbines and crowed about how the future was in green jobs. Great, a business with 60 jobs. In last 20 years Elyria has lost a GM plastics plant, Moen Faucets HQ and manufacturing, York International, Bendix and countless other jobs. The only major left is Ridgid Tool. Bottom line there never will or ever could be enough green jobs to replace all the jobs lost in a town of 60,000 like Elyria.
Just another campaign stop for the President and his teleprompter where he rallies the base. No real change here and not a lot of hope. Look for a lot more of these to come as the Axlerod/Emanuel braintrust tries to rebrand the product without really changing anything.
What if the Hokey Pokey is, what it’s all about?
I’m waiting for Dr Frankenbama to take us all up to the lab to see whats on the slab (Progressive Horror Picture Show!).
It is a total disgrace what the American voter did November 2008.
To quote Forrest Gump… “Stupid is as stupid does”.

Why? Was that the only place open to pee?
I’ve decided that the Secret Service do not get enough praise for their work.
I noticed one part of his campaign speech, that what it was, where he blame banks for $30 over draft fees. Now it’s the banks fault you can’t balance your checkbook.
Overall for what I saw, it was no messiah speech that we saw during the campaign.
Not one Politician in this country is singing a song anything like:
Hey, hey, we’re the libby’s And people say we monkey around. But we’re too busy spending, To put any tax bills down.
C’mon GOP, peoples ears are perked open, a solid Reagan Conservative message would go down pretty good right about now.
In other words, THERE’S A POLITICAL LEADERSHIP VACUUM!!!
Fill it.
Is this some kind of coded message to the union thugs in Ohio? Because obviously he doesn’t mean for us to take this literally…
Please Mr. President come to Arizona and stump for John McCain in the primary. Let the Healing (or heeling?) begin, let the light of post racial, post partisanship begin! Yes Mr. President show you care with that endorsement there.
Let the Healing (or heeling?) begin.
So now the President is a Populist? Populism is a movement made up of ordinary everyday folks….you know the kind who drive trucks. Someone tell James Carville “It’s The Elitism Stupid”
Hold On There A Minute Mr President, I drive a red Sonoma GM Pickup!
