The shout-outs Obama forgot
Reader Karen raises a good point about President Obama’s missing shout-outs last night:
Greetings from Tampa, Fl:
No one in the media has brought up the ultimate snub from Pres. Obama during his speech last night. He gave a shout out to Michelle Obama- twice, Joe Biden- once, but to the two officers who brought down the Ft. Hood terrorist and who were sitting right next to the First Lady, he said nothing.
Why?…You would think in one of the most tragic events that happened on our soil since 9/11, Pres. Obama would have addressed them. We all know well Pres. Bush would have.
See what others have said

They don’t want to blame anything on Militant Islam. Obama only talks about America as a bad thing. I wish he was proud of America. He’s not.
BINGO!
zero will never be President Bush. for all his shortcomings, President Bush was a patriot, zero is not and never will be, as that would require courage. all zero will ever be is a liar and a fraud.
Michelle, I humbly FIFY.
I doubt that it was “forgetting” on his part.
Why would he give a shout out to anyone who brought down one of his muslim brethren?
You give him too much credit.
He is nothing more than a puppet, a minion, an empty suit.
Cannot disagree.
Since the man who pulled the trigger is still an “alleged” murderer, the alleged president didn’t want to cast any alleged guilt on the alleged assailant by giving a nod to the alleged heroes who shot the alleged gunman whose alleged religion had nothing to do with the alleged shooting… allegedly.
As a matter of fact, Obama only used the word “terror” one time during the speech, and I think that was in reference to the Supreme Court.
Great point Thacker. The difference in GWB and Duh Won is so blatantly obvious. W would have given these two fine officers the accolades they deserve.
Bush for all of his rough edges loves America. Duh Won loves himself.
How can you forget when it is supposed to be read on the TOTUS? This way, he can point to a picture later, but there will never be a quote recognizing the pair.
I doubt it slipped his mind. This “man” is an anti-American cad.
Doug Powers:
This:
is what I’m going with.
It’s not in his DNA.
I’d say puppetmaster Soros made good use of the F/Kit last night.
He was so busy trying to defraud the American people into thinking he wants less taxes, less spending and a safer country that it slipped his
mindteleprompter.Obi from Nairobi probably thinks those two “acted stupidly”.
After all they violated his right to freedom of religion (killing infidels).
He forgot to do a shout out to his Auntie.
On-topic:

…and his brutha in da hut…
Exactly.
The Ministry of Propaganda will have the picture of the two Americans next to Mrs. Bitterman with a caption saying something about how they were recognized.
Barf.
Obama a hater loser racist and a liar.
I have an idea — let’s just end the “shout outs”. No matter who is president, they are always cringe worthy.
Even better let’s do away with the speech and return to a written report, which is how it was done from Jefferson through Taft.
This guy loves the sound of his own voice, he goes into a trance. He could have had the shortest SOTU speech in the history of this nation, ” the state of the union is terrible and I quit”.
Yep, he also did not call out the Haitian Ambassador by name either. The guy was sitting right there.
Sometimes it is not about calling anyone out by name. Their presence should be considered acknowledgement of their actions.
Off topic, and I don’t know if this has been said, but I just heard a sound bite on Glenn Beck that is almost impossible to believe, but I heard it with my own ears. Chris Matthews commenting on the speech said, “I forgot he was black tonight for an hour.” Oh my gosh, if that wasn’t the stupidest, most racist comment I have heard in years!!! What was he thinking? It totally exposes the racist hypocricy of the leftwing moonbat faction! So, I guess the rest of the time, Matthews the Spitter thinks of Obama as The Black Guy. But the speech was so great, he actually forgot the Black Guy was black for a whole hour.
Good point. The statement does come off sounding as if Matthews considers Obama’s race as primary and foremost.
” the state of the union is terrible and I quit”.
Oh man, why couldn’t this be the headline today. That would have brought an immediate uptick to the markets.
What a moron ‘duh one’ is. The ‘alleged president’ would be in a really tough spot if he didn’t have George W Bush to blame for all of America’s problems.
kinda like all those seiu/acorn thugs he supports….
When he mentioned the aid and support to Haiti he purposely excluded any mention of Israel. They were second to the USA in providing rescue teams and medical support.
Of course he didn’t mention the arab nations because they didn’t send any help (or anything worth noting).
Bush was a class act. Obama no class.. blame it on his teleprompter… The two officers were evidently invited by Obama… but! “The one” must have figured that just being in his presence was enough excitement for the officers.
I was surprised too. It was the first SOTU where I don’t recall special guests being acknowledged.
Is anyone surprised by this post?
Really. Anyone?
Good point. George Bush never missed an opportunity to exploit the heroism of people other than him.
and so shall I do with thee…
I’m surprised he didn’t do a shout out to the alleged shooter that the officers stopped.
I’m just greatful that there are people like MM, Rush Beck etc, that are wiling to watch this drivel for me. I had better things to do last night, like reload more ammo.
hahahahahhahahaa!
Good one.
Of course not. Why should anyone be surprised by the truth? There were other people who were invited guests of the President who were also not called out.
Why is there a discussion about what was not said or done, vice what was actually said and done? Yes, both can be done, however there is far too much that was not talked about in the SOTU by Pres Obama. Should it all be discussed? Should Pres Obama be taken to task for not calling out every invited guest or person who was shown on camera?
Doesn’t matter what he said or who he pointed to. The stock market today says he doesn’t have a clue.
I didn’t watch the speech so I was interested in hearing about it on the radio this morning. About the only station I can get early (other than The Idiot Handel out of LA), has Mike Gallager. Michelle Malkin was going to be on the show so I was anxiously awaiting that.
Unfortunately, instead of hearing anything about the speech, I had to listen to Gallager blather on about Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell for forty…five…freaking…minutes. He is against it and he belittled anyone who called in to disagree with him. I rarely lash out at inanimate objects but I unleashed a stream of profanities at my radio.
Anyways, Michelle was good, as always, but next time MM, save your precious time (and mine) for Hugh Hewitt.
Oh, and by the way, KTIE, dump the dufus.
rant/
(Yea, I know I spelled Gallager wrong, but it isn’t worth my time to do a web search.)
Remember that the Military makes a great photo-op in this presidents presidents eyes. His word not mine…
You mean like the Law of Unintended Consequences from bad laws and policies of the government that have screwed things up so bad? Yep, should have said something about that.
Didn’t I hear him say something to the effect of how great the American people are? Why, didn’t have have 2 fine examples of that sitting next to his wife? Would have scored major points for that. But he didn’t. And people said GWB was a dunce.
Obama was too busy correcting the Supreme Court, and blaming Bush and the Republicans. Something had to be cut out of the speech due to time constraints. As it was, the windbag went on too long. Even Harry Reid had to catch a nap.
In fairness, our president also cut out the part of how he managed to become a lame duck while his party holds majorities in both houses of congress.
Meanwhile, In Plains Georgia, there was rejoicing as it became apparent that the accolade of “The worst president in history” has officially been removed from Jimmy Carter’s resume.
why even bring them there if you aren’t going to recognize them? Seems dumb to me, but typical of these political crackheads.
the two officers who brought down the Ft. Hood terrorist shot one of Blue Lips Bros. Come now you can not expect the Community Organizer in Chief to support The Man shooting Bros and Homies can you? Celebrate Diversity–Honkey soldiers and families are expendable on the Alter of Feel Good.
He should have acknowledged them, but to play devil’s advocate here, why invite them in the first place if he wants to ignore the situation?
For what its worth, Kimberly Munley has been in considerable pain during her recuperation. I follow her on Twitter. It was not a small thing for her to be present last night. I consider it a major snub by Obama, and I also noticed the “oversight.”
Unfortunately, these heroic officers did not exercise “smart power”. They should have approached Hasan with un-clenched fists, reasoned with him and threatened him with really nasty economic sanctions if he didn’t stop shooting people.
Exploit? President George W. Bush honored and acknowledged heros. He didn’t try to take credit for them. If you have a point, try making it some time.
ECS
I slept through the address. I was brushing my teeth at my work desk and reading articles on the net.
When I opened Ace, I got the the second article, busted out laughing, spewing toothpaste, well mostly toothpaste everywhere.
Read if you dare, it is funny, vulgar, offensive to some, did I mention funny.
http://wp.me/pLGBN-16
Its not about them, its about him.
There’s no time to acknowledge other people when you have to mention yourself 132 times in a speech.
BDS rears its ugly head again. How retro of you.
Then again, Pres. Bush seems to have left an indelible impression when Obummer can’t seem to stop blaming him for practically EVERYTHING.
It’s interesting that passing the buck and blaming others is considered “cool” for our “hip” new president but letting others take the credit and remaining humble seems to be a drawback or character flaw for former Pres. Bush.
Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Nor did he bother to acknowledge the troops that are fighting for us and being killed, wounded, maimed for us!!!
ThackerAgency,
How true!!!!
I share your sentiment.
Are you tired of the denials regarding Obama and his ties to Islam yet?
I cannot believe that people, including so-called “moderates,” and “Republicans,” including Congresspersons, television talk show hosts, and radio hosts, the print media, and others, continue to nay say the fact that Obama HAS been influenced by Islam, and goes out of his way to “reach out” to Muslims.
He talks about his Islamic experiences himself. He has even stated in interviews, which I have heard and watched, that he is a Muslim. He described that the sweetest sound he has ever heard is the call to Muslim prayer.
A few months ago Obama denied that the US is a “Christian Nation. Then, shorty after that, he did the opposite. He made a point to proclaim that the US is one of the Largest Muslin nations on the planet, claiming that the US has one of the largest Muslim populations.
He spoke in Egypt, praising Islam, claiming that Islam is so great and was superior to everything else, that Islam was instrumental in some of the most important, significant contributions to humanity’s progress, and made Islam sound like a religion of Saints, Geniuses, Compassionate, Loving, Tolerant people who have mastered flight, mastered mathematics, mastered space travel, mastered medical skills, mastered art, and more, beyond any and all civilizations throughout all time.
No acknowledgment for the USA, who actually DID contributed the most to space travel, medical developments, health, quality of life, freedom and liberty, etc.
Obama did not acknowledge the contributions of India, Israel, China, Japan, Italy, Greece, Spain, and other nations who have contributed much to civilization, including navigation technology, astronomy, medicine, mathematics, language, food, agriculture, and more, all things that the west incorporated into their culture and technology, thus pushing the West ahead of the rest of the world, enabling shipping, medical advances, improvements in human rights, and more.
No. Our president has spent a great deal of his time trashing our nation, the very nation he is supposed to represent and stand for. our president has spent his time trashing US citizens who peacefully assemble and make their voices heard, such as the Tea Party Demonstrators, who Obama’s willing claques in the press insult by falsely claiming they are violent, hate filled, racist, bigoted, xenophobic, homophobic, Islamophobic mobs. At the same time, real violent mobs, protesting the Tea Party protesters, and protesting the Economic Summit and the Global Warming Summit, actually DID engage in violence, but were not painted as mean, violent, hate filled thuggish mobsters, nor were Islamicists slaughtering people in the USA, Britain, Europe, Israel, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, India, and elsewhere.
The same for the double standard regarding abortion and pro-life points of view.
A murderer killed George Tiller, the Baby Killer, who included birth and, against the law, executed babies already partially out of the mother’s birth canal, or already completely out of the birth canal. That action of “late term abortion” the lay person’s term for a form of Extraction abortion, is supposed to be illegal, yet Tiller continued to execute them and mocked and bragged about it.
Obama came out within the drop of a hat, so fast one’s head would spin, in loudly and demonstratively condemning that murder, yet, a few days later, a leader in the pro-life movement, a person who worked to save babies from butchers who execute abortions, was murdered. That murder of the pro-protection of babies from abortionists activists received virtually NO response form Obama, or the press. When Obama even did mention it, clearly it had not real concern to him as the killing of a baby killer – Tiller – did, Obama’s response was luke warm.
In the Tiller the abortionist case, Eric Holder and Obama were so outraged that they sent Federal Agents to protect abortuaries as if there was a violent army of Pro-life terrorists who were attacking all abortion clinics. In other words, the President and Attorney General demonstrated their screwed up priorities and point of view. They see pro-lifers as real violent terrorists, but abortionists are saints. Pro-lifers are treated as if they were Islamofascist terrorist thugs, or left wing, eco terrorists, violent mobs, like we see at Economic summits and Global Warming conferences, while Pro-lifers are actually the peaceful, loving, compassionate, caring, nonviolent group.
The President and his AG, and others, clearly showed their misplaced priorities. While Federal Agents are sent to abortion clinics to protect them from the “mean, nasty, violent pro-life mobs,” no such thing was done to protect pro-lifers from abortion advocates who reguarly attack pro-lifers, harass and beat and murder women who refuse to abort, run down silent, pro-lifers praying across the street or near aboruaries, and directly attack and injure, beat, and murder pro-lifers.
No. Obama has one set of values for real, Patriotic US citizens, and nonviolent, caring pro-lifers, and another set of values for violent Jihadis, abortionists, left wing protesters, eco terrorists, etc.
Obama and his ilk have misplaced priorities, and a virtual lack of values.
He is an amateur-in-Chief, and a disgrace as a “President.” He joins the ranks of other terrible, Constitution trashing, US citizen betraying Presidents, drunk with power, self absorbed, narcisistic, and over rated.
He is not as bright as people want believe he is. He is actually rather ignorant. His actions and words betray his ignorance, disrespect, double standard, and misplaced priorities, and, by his very words, in which he promises certain action, then he does not deliver, such as his promise of Transparency, etc.
He is a terrible speaker. He skates by with the use of a TelePrompTer, with a stilted, broken, choppy speaking cadence, a condescending, arrogant tone of voice, and a lack of commitment to his words. Without a TelePrompTer he sounds like someone who should really take a course in Public Speaking through Toast Masters International. His impromptu, face-to-face conversation makes him appear to be verbally/orally challenged, to say the least.
How could you tell that Obam was lying and deceiving during this State of the Union Address on Wednesday night?
His lips were moving!
