Culture of Corruption Watch: Probing SEIU shenanigans

Following up on illegal lobbying complaints against President Obama’s SEIU pals Andy Stern and Anna Burger, CNSNews.com reports that an investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in D.C. is ongoing:
Federal prosecutors are reviewing a request for an investigation into whether Andy Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), violated the Lobbying Disclosure Act for his frequent visits to the White House and with members of Congress in 2009.
Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) and its subgroup the Alliance for Worker Freedom (AWF) sent letters to acting U.S. Attorney Channing D. Phillips of the District of Columbia asking for a probe.
“Specifically, it is important to determine whether those and related activities could constitute ‘lobbying’ by Mr. Stern in violation of the Lobbying Disclosure Act,” said the Nov. 13, 2009, letter signed by ATR President Grover G. Norquist and AWF Executive Director Brian M. Johnson.
In a subsequent letter, the two groups asked for a probe into SEIU Secretary-Treasurer Anna Burger. The letters were also sent to Secretary of the Senate Nancy Erickson and Clerk of the House Loraine C. Miller, the two offices that supervise disclosure and reporting rules.
“I don’t think there is a lot that we can say at this point, other than to say that we continue to review the matter,” Benjamin Friedman, spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office, told CNSNews.com.
In other SEIU news, Stern has been forced to send out investigators to probe more financial abuse by Purple Shirt bosses in San Diego:
International leaders of the union representing thousands of county government workers have arrived in San Diego to help sort out a dispute over management of the local group.
Andrew Stern, the international president of Service Employees International Union, appointed two personal representatives to investigate whether the local chapter wrongly paid former president Sharon-Frances Moore a six-figure severance and hired her as a consultant.
As you’ll recall from Culture of Corruption, Stern has a long history of appointing a den of management thieves at the SEIU.

Not surprised anymore.
I’m sure holder and this bho will get right on this! Dear andy has this bho and team in his pocket and he knows it.

Agent Smith: I’d like to share a revelation that I’ve had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you’re not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure.
Agent Smith: Do you know what the best thing about being me is?
[All the doors open, lots of Smith clones step out]
Agent Smith: There’s so many of me!
Another whitewash. Holder will probably get Stern a Medal of Freedom.
Just like they’ll get right on the issue of Obummer’s campaign disabling the most basic security controls for online contributions.
You can’t mis-type a digit on your billing address Zip Code when ordering flowers online without the system puking, but my brother-in-law in BAHRAIN was able to make a $10 contribution to Barry’s campaign using his real credit card number, but a made up name and address.
It. Makes. Me. Sick!
Dexter Alarius,
I agree ‘It. Makes. Me. Sick!’ also. I have seen numerous people as President, but I have never seen one as crooked as this one is. I just pray 2012 will be the end of this, if our Republic is still standing.

Holder is much too busy investigating the CIA for saving countless lives over eight years, and of course arranging a public forum for KSM. A man can only do so much.
I never, ever thought that I would look back fondly on the Carter administration.
Agree with others here. AG Holder will step in, and just like the Black Panther thugs at the Philly election site in 2008, he will send a strong and clear message to Stern .. “don’t worry – we’ve got your back”.
Why stop at illegal lobbying?? Just go straight to shutting down free speech:

That ol’ Second Amendment is sure lookin’ handy right about now. A .44 Magnum beats a 2×4 – every time.
If you want to stop or at least, slow the flow of money into the political arena:
1. Full disclosure of every dime received by campaigns and the political organizations.
2. Full accounting of where every dime is spent. Any major violations would lead to candidate disqualification.
3. Repeal the tax exemptions for any and all political campaigns and organizations. These are not viable charities (the only true reason for a tax exemption).
I know it will never come to pass, but I am tired of my vote being diluted further by cash-flush organizations and foreign countries.
Speaking of the party of corruption, looks like they have plans well under way to steal as many elections as possible in 2010/12.
I don’t think I will ever see Oboma, Holder, and friends ever seek justice against Stern and his corrupt pals. Probably, another white wash case.
The purplebellies are showing their evil roots…
This is such a ‘given’ that it no longer attracts attacks.
OK, I’m far from defending the SEIU, but I’m a little bothered by this law. Why should the law impose burdens of any kind on those of us who want to meet with those who make laws for us? I have no problem with requiring politicians to disclose whom they meet with, but that doesn’t mean private citizens should have to be inconvenienced. Put the burden on the politicians, not on us.
Ah, Unions, protectors of the little guy, and taking their dues to pay huge salaries to the Union officials while criticism Non-Union management for the same thing.
At the company I work for, in a non-right to work state it is now contract negation time. All this means is the Union suddenly cares, putting up letters, memos, posters on their bulletin boards. Oh yeah, and taking down the ones they put up 2 and half to 3 years ago.
it’s not just a “Culture of Corruption”…
…it’s a “Way of Life” for the democrats.
SEIU in California is using its confiscated member dues to finance lawsuits against the state to stop the “illegal” furloughs. I guess they want layoffs…or tax increases? Furloughs Illegal
“I did it by the authority of Rule Three-Five-Seven!” to paraphrase Breaker Morant.
