The latest on Obama’s illegal alien auntie
President Obama’s illegal alien deportation fugitive aunt, Zeituni Onyango, is still here. She’s still being secretly subsidized. And she has successfully shut the public out of her asylum hearing. Via the Boston Herald:
The illegal alien aunt of President Obama could learn this week whether she can put down roots in Boston – or start packing her bags for a one-way trip back to Kenya.
And, save for U.S. Immigration Court Judge Leonard I. Shapiro, she’ll know before anyone else. Zeituni Polly Onyango has persuaded Shapiro to bar the public from her removal proceeding Thursday morning at the John F. Kennedy Federal Building, though it’s unclear why.
“I assume (Shapiro) thought it would be a three-ring circus. She’s the aunt of the president of the United States – the most famous man in the world,” said Mike Rogers, spokesman for the Ohio law firm defending Onyango, 57, against the Department of Homeland Security.
Shapiro could not be reached for comment. However, Lauren Alder Reid of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review, which speaks for the court, said closed hearings are “not uncommon.”
Reid said removal proceedings are sometimes held behind closed doors in cases of political asylum – such as Onyango is requesting – domestic abuse and security.
“The immigration judge will hear the merits of the case from both parties,” Reid said yesterday. “The judge may make a ruling from the bench, but there’s no guarantee.”
Onyango’s asylum request was rejected in 2002 and she has evaded deportation for eight years — aided by the Bush administration.

The rest of the world thinks our immigration laws are a joke — and maybe they actually are. She needs to be sent home. Her asylum request was denied several years ago. Why is she even here?
If we let every person in the world dictate which terms they are allowed in under, I would venture to guess that every such person would determine everyone has a right to emigrate to the US.

Why is subsidizing illegals any different than someone knocking on my front door and demanding to be taken care of at my expense?
Medicare, Social Security, welfare, unemployment, food stamps, housing, etc, etc, etc — none of which she paid into so that when those who HAVE paid into some of these things and continue to do so finally come of age, there will be nothing left.
I find it troubling that Bho has so little compassion for his poor family members, since he doesn’t feel the need to help them financially. His spread the wealth around seems to only involve taking our money and redistribute it to those the gov deems worthy, while he remains distant. If he can’t spread his own wealth around then he has no business using tax dollars for anything.

I don’t think anyone expects that she’ll be deported. At worst, Aunt Zeituni will be sento to permanent flying around drinking free booze on Pelosi One status.

If the RNC had its act together they would have demanded to see his long form birth Certificate that is supposed to be held in Hawaii instead of running from this issue. The DNC forced John McCain to prove he was a natural born citizen but as usual the RNC bent over and let this usurper from Kenya run for office.
At the very minimum, he is a dual citizen and probably an illegal alien.

In all this time, has Obama ever spoken on behalf or said anything favorable about this poor woman? If he has, I don’t recall having read any reports about it. One would think a close relative like this would receive a few words of encouragement from a concerned nephew!

Whatever you might believe about the eligibility issue, how can anyone, including MM, possibly believe this is a “cut and dried” done issue? There are mountains of evidence that say, at the very least, an independent investigation of Obama’s eligibility should be done and NOW. Instead, there is ridicule and intimidation of those, polls show, 50% of Americans who, at the very least, have “some doubt” that Obama is a Constitutionally legal president.
Why are the people one would normally think would be all over this issue intimidated into silence?

One thing that is pretty obvious but no one ever seems to care about is that as a relative of the POTUS, regardless of the fact that it turns out to be Obama, she is a prime kidnap for ransom target. Who would the kidnappers collect the ransom from? Extortion against POTUS would bring down the Secret Service, FBI, CIA, US Marshalls, MiB and about half the Union Calvary on them. Rather doubt anyone would be that stupid, and if they were they would get caught in a heartbeat.
BTW, I read somewhere the US government has a no ransom policy.

There is rhetoric and there is reality. My statement wasn’t expressing what I wish would happen but what I am very sure WILL happen. While it is useful to keep Auntie in the news to help prevent a blanket amnesty, it is foolish to expect that she will ever be deported.

Yep, the reason he keeps his distance from these people, (his Aunt, his Brother and the others in Kenya), is because of what they know. It would look much better for him to have some compassion, and the money involved would be a pittance, but he fears a closeness might attract reporters…..and reveal a very important secret. The people in Kenya are harder for him to keep quiet than those in the USA.
Swede: here is the short summation of where I stand. She should have been deported many years ago. It didn’t happen and it got complicated. Bush probably saw the situation developing as a serious no-win for him politically and called her personally to assure her that she wouldn’t be deported. Had she been deported in 2002 or especially afterward, we all know Bush would have been the heartless bastard who deported the aunt of a strong Democratic contender for 2008 and for political reasons. Had he pardoned her openly, we would have been attacking him for yet another example of how cynical he is when it comes to US citizenship. So he provided cover for her and now it is Obama’s problem.
Obama is also in a bind and has chosen to keep his distance from the issue. So we are bringing it to him. He would like to simple grant a blanket pardon to all illegals as he promised since that would include her but now he is hamstrung because of the conflict of interest. He can’t get too close to her because he will be seen as cynically appealing to our pity to make his case.
That places auntie in a precarious situation where if she does get deported, it will come with 10,000 pages of buts, ands, ifs and wherefores that would cost the taxpayer alot more money than what it costs now to keep her in limbo.
For her own protection, she must not be deported. Deportation with expensive protection serves no purpose either. She won’t be deported. That ship sailed long ago.
I have no problem with this situation dragging on because it helps neutralize Obama in the struggle against amnesty. But eventually, if she lives long enoug, she will be granted some sort of status here in America and at that point, the Obamas should take her on as their ward. They should be offering to do that already but Obama is too much of a cynical self-centered politician to do the decent thing.

I am an ardent anti-amnesty guy too but I really don’t see this case as being relevant to the other 30-40 million. Deport them and they are just faces in a crowd having to deal with the common struggles of the home country. Deport auntie, she is a prime target for kidnap for ransom and other things. Yes I have, I’ve carefully researched everything available…and I’ve considered the things I believe are facts….and those that may not be. I have also considered the hiding of many different documents, including his real birth certificate and many other records…..that all have one thing in common. Questions were asked of Obama, (or his parents), and answered, that related to his citizenship, place of birth, even medical records ask those kind of questions, and, by golly, they too are locked down.
I’m not asking anybody to agree with me.
My concern is this, from the hidden records to the adoption, to the name change, to the Dad who was not a US Citizen, to the definition of a “natural born citizen”, can’t anyone work up enough give-a-rip about this to demand an independent investigation?
Nobody really knows much of anything about Obama’s past, and what is known involves shady characters, terrorist, preachers spouting hate, Czars that are admitted communist, (Kevin Jones), etc. It’s as if no one wants to know anymore, or they are afraid to do any research.
I have seen far less nebulous and less important stuff discussed 24/7 on the tube….why the heck is this, especially his eligibility, off-limits?
