Speaking of “echo chambers”

By Michelle Malkin  •  February 4, 2010 10:28 AM

As we noted yesterday, President Obama told Senate Democrats to turn off cable TV and blogs and instead talk to the “folks” outside the “echo chamber.”

So, what’s the King of the Taxpayer-Subsidized White House Echo Chamber doing today?

Just arrived in my e-mail box:

Organizing for America

michelle –

Today, at 5:45 p.m. Eastern Time, Organizing for America is hosting a “Conversation with the President” — and you won’t want to miss it.

President Obama will talk about fighting for change in 2010, and then answer questions from grassroots supporters like you.

You can watch a webcast of the event starting at 5:45 p.m. Eastern Time:

http://my.barackobama.com/Conversation

President Obama will review our many accomplishments this past year and address the tough fights ahead of us — including the 2010 elections, fighting to strengthen the middle class, and finishing the job on health reform.

Then, I’ll ask the President some of the questions that OFA supporters like you submitted online.

I hope you can tune in at 5:45 Eastern:

http://my.barackobama.com/Conversation

Thanks,

Mitch

Those who live in the Mother of All Echo Chambers shouldn’t throw stones.

Seeing that picture of Obama looking in the mirror was pretty coincidental. Glenn Beck was talking just this morning about all the pictures of Obama that are everywhere in the White House. Generally, the pictures in the common areas of the White House are of historical significance, like Washington crossing the Delaware, etc. But apparently, Obama’s pictures are everywhere and are changed out weekly! It is like he has changed the WH into a shrine to HIMSELF! Glenn also said there is a picture of Obama with his feet up on some very precious and historic desk, showing extreme disrespect. I guess if you are raised in a Madrassa and know nothing about the history of the country you are supposed to be “leading”, you will not understand how important it is to respect it. This man is a bad joke that has been played on our country. We have been punked!!

Obama should be absolutely hammered on the integrity issue. He has forfeited his right to hide behind the traditional respect for the office he holds.

Speaking of taxes. The middle class will really be hosed by these crooks when they start eliminating all the deductions for charitable contributions and mortgage interest (next year). When that happens there will be two things happening simultaneously: 1.Revolt 2.Massive numbers of mortgage defaults.

If that does not get the MSM off their fat a**es and start reporting truth instead of Marxist propaganda nothing will.

Real marxist class warfare stuff. But the bloom will fall off The Messiah’s roses when the much higher taxes and costs hit all persons at all income levels. The wakeup call will be when we all do our 2010 tax year 1040 forms.
    ***
And when many charitable organizations–like Salvation Army, World Vision, Red Cross, churches, etc. see their incomes cut drastically when people can no longer contribute to them. A lot of hungry third world people will hurt a lot more due to The One’s actions as he “heps out” the poor–and makes a lot more poor people in our country.

That’s easy. He can’t speak without a speech in front of him, approved by his “advisors”. They know he would be a disaster speaking without it.

This is the beginning of the end.

“Cut yourself off from all other input, but listen to me.”

I have visions of Jim Jones talking to his cultists, on the way to Guyana.

The Internet and Fox are killing him. HIS media (and make no mistake, they were his media) are starting to turn on him en-mass, and he knows it.

He needs the Demos in the Congress to tune out, like they won’t notice, when we take them to the woodshed in November.

They’re in panic mode, and are ignoring the tea-party at their own peril.

This is actually getting better by the day. I’m making popcorn.

    And so pretty

It IS sort of echo chamber in here, however, we are not charged with “running” the country. One could assume that with great responsibility comes an even greater mandate to look outside one’s own cirle for various opinions. When I look at Obamas circle of Czars for example, I am frightend by the radical social change agents who are the majority of his advisors.
