Video flashback: Obama botched “corpseman” before
Turns out it wasn’t just a one-off flub. President Obama mispronounced “corpseman” before last week’s gaffe-a-thon….on October 26, 2009 during a speech to graduates of the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida.
Reader Chris P. sends the video and e-mails: “Doesn’t Obama have any military advisors, Democrat Senators or anyone who saw the speech and heard him say ‘corpse-man?’ The mispronunciation is stark and grating to me as a former
soldier. Why didn’t anyone correct their boss? If they don’t feel empowered to speak up on something so minor what about bigger matters?”

The problem is, when you are dealing with a pathological narcissist, you can correct them, but the correction will have no effect. They will just see your correction as you bothering them, and will not acknowledge that they were wrong, and your correction has some validity. So they will go out and make the same mistake over and over, and be corrected over and over.
The only way to get through to them is to tell them that unless they correct themselves, they are not going to get what they want. That’s hard to do with somebody like President Obama, who has the World on a string. Appealing to him to correct himself in order to be correct is pointless, because he “knows” that he was right all along.
