On a similar note, Canadian Premier Danny Williams (Hawaii 5-0?), after being misdiagnosed 6 months earlier by Canadian doctors, sneaked into the US to get urgent heart surgery rather than die waiting in line in Canada or otherwise be criticized of using his influence to “cut in line”.

He opted for inferior medical treatment from the broken American health system that allowed him to return to his job in days rather than the months he would have been sidelined in Canada.

We need Dick Cheney now more than ever. I truly hope he gets better and can return to what he enjoys most: stirring the pot and driving libwits crazy. I felt from the beginning of his run with Bush, that he’d always be the steadying force and would slice through a panzer division to keep this country safe. A true patriot and man of his word.

Best Wishes, Mr. Cheney, for a speedy recovery.

Like you, I was graduated from the University of Wyoming, and you were one of the speakers at my graduation in 1990. Thanks for all that you have done for our country. You are a good and decent man. The eulogy you gave at Ronald Reagan’s funeral was one of the best speeches I have ever heard in my life.

America needs more men like you.

I was reading a report today that docs are cutting back their hours in primary care. The average is now 51 hours. I know I have cut my own hours back from 70 once, to 50, now 40. But, I’m 60 and really would like to slow down some. With more patients under the proposed health bill, the shortage of docs will be strongly felt. Anyway, I wish Mr. Cheney a fast recovery.
