DLTDHYOTWO: Desiree Rogers steps down, but not out

By Michelle Malkin  •  February 26, 2010 02:23 PM

The Obamas’ favorite bundler is leaving her job as White House social secretary in the wake of the gate-crasher scandal. But don’t be fooled into thinking she’s out of the Obamas’ inner circle. Those Chicago ties are eternal.

I love how they do the “mission accomplished” spin here. Via the Sun-Times:

White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers told me Friday she will step down next month, after presiding over 330 events in the White House in 14 months.

Rogers is departing after achieving a major goal of President Obama and First Lady Michelle — opening up the White House to make it the “peoples house.”

Er, yeah.

Now, she’ll be free to walk as many catwalks and pose for as many fashion covers as she wants. The “people” would want it that way.

Laissez les bon temps rouler, eh, Ms. Rogers?

    Obamanation=Screw up, move up.

And, oh by the way, take no responsibility for screwing up. Claim it as a victory. God help us!

It has always been the “peoples house”. I guess those two times I’ve wandered through the White House on a guided tour don’t count along with thousands of others. They can lock the doors for all I care, because I don’t want to set foot in it as long as the current POS is still living there.

    330 events / 14 months = 23.57 events per month.

Good thing there are no pressing matters to be taken care of.

Wait! I thought “the corporate world” was the enemy because of their greed, exploitation of the workers, anti-unions, culture of corruption, oppressors of the poor, etc. Traitor!!!

They have no idea about history. It always was the “peoples’ house”. There was a long time when anyone could go up to the WH and knock on the door, to see the President, especially office-seekers. Jefferson used to answer the door in robe and slippers sometimes. Times and society have changed, of course, but the idea of a “peoples’ house” hasn’t changed.

The People’s House has no water closet. It’s called the Federal Head – but you, the proletariat, may use the facility just down the path from the Victory Garden.

    BYOTP – and some lime.

Only Corporations and Companies that haven’t supported “The One” and the Dimocrat Party with the appropriate contributions (ie: bribes, kickbacks, sweetheart deals, etc…..) are enemies.

Be sure to stop by the Oval Office for the TP. There are hundreds of documents there that are not worth the price of the paper they are printed on.

Something tells me she looks in the mirror and sees Tyra Banks or Naomi Campbell, more like Glenn Campbell!
