Al Gore is not responsible for those alleged global warmicides
After a year’s worth of unhinged lefties blaming conservative bloggers, pundits, and activists for every crime spree on the planet, it would be just deserts to blame Al Gore for the alleged global warming-inspired murders reported in the UK Daily Mail today. But count me out of that game. For starters, the story is sketchy:
A seven-month-old baby girl survived three days alone with a bullet in her chest beside the bodies of her parents and toddler brother.
Argentines Francisco Lotero, 56, and Miriam Coletti, 23, shot their children before killing themselves after making an apparent suicide pact over fears about global warming.
Their son Francisco, two, died instantly after being hit in the back.
But their unnamed daughter cheated death after the bullet from her dad’s handgun missed her vital organs.
Paramedics rushed her to hospital covered in blood when police alerted by worried neighbours discovered the massacre three days later.
…Her parents said they feared the effects of global warming in a suicide note discovered by police.
I want to see the note. Were the references to global warming just one small part of a lengthy, nutball rant? Is this another bizarre, twisted hoax a la the Sparkman census scheme?
In any case, Al Gore is responsible for enough fraud and misery without overreaching and laying this strange case at his feet.
Leave the hysterical smear-mongering to Frank Rich, Andrew Sullivan, Paul Krugman, and Keith Olbermann.

I was reading about this on another news site and some of the comments made me do a triple take. One excuse was: Hey, Just because Al Gore said it was true does not mean everyone had to follow his beliefs.

These 2 parents sounded like they needed mental health counseling. If not for global warming, I’m sure another issue would have sufficed. My sorrow is for the son. I pray the girl survives.
There is hope for her, unfortunately, none for him, to grow up rationally.
Gore may not be responsibile but you have to admit he has contributed to the fear mongering of global warming. He chose to be the face of this scam for financial gain. He has promoted the fraudulent science that we know to be false. Gore has encouraged this false doctrine to be taught in the schools and since we’ve found out it was all a big fraud he has said NOTHING to slow down the alarmist rhetoric. He may not be guilty of this crime but he is by no means innocent.

As I have aged I have learned that my degree of skepticism about any topic is in direct proportion to the topic’s perceived level of crisis by its advocates.
If you have no facts, no data, no solid evidence, then emotion is your fall back position. I have seen enough “stampede the herd” tactics by activists from all sides.
This deals with ANY topic; business, political, scientific, et. all.

Maybe these climate change cultists should change their focus to improving building standards around the world.
Um, scratch that. These cultists are so crazy, they’d spend all their energy trying to eliminate earthquakes, setting up some seismic offsets financial scam.
Did anyone else notice the disparity in the ages of the parents? I’m not quite sure what to make of it but, if they had a two year old son, they had to have been together for at least about three years. A 20 year old girl that is with a 53 year old man may very well have issues and vice versa IMHO.
Any reasonable person would find it hard to blame Gore for this. Compare and contrast this reaction with those on the the left regarding Stack, the IRS plane-bomber. It is, as they say, a teachable moment on over-reaction and lying in the media based purely on political ideology.

The increased earthquate activity is the result of global warming. As the earth warms due to man’s irresponsible behavior, the warmth causes the earth’s crust to expand. When tectonic plates are in contact with each other the expanded size of the plates causes increased stress, thus increasing the number and magnitude of earthquakes.

You are way ahead of them on earthquakes and it’s connection to AGW. It will rear it’s ugly head and next they’ll be saying that drilling for oil and natural gas is leaving huge cavities, deep within the earth, where the earth has to compact in some manner. Not even a science fiction writer could make this stuff up and sell it but the figtree messiah, Gorbal, does his best.
Its okay, I was planning on destroying THE ENTIRE South American rainforest but I changed my plans to help the planet. That was worth enough carbon credits for the next 5 earthquakes. See its all about intent, not results.

Climate related suicides have been going on for decades. I went to school with a guy in the 1960s who was an environmental nut case. He shot himself.

I don’t know. If this all pans out, she will eventually learn what happened. That will scar her for the rest of her life, no matter when she learns it.
I’m terrified every single day, that in the space of a few short months, there could be a heat wave that will sweep over my mountains in Colorado, melting the snow and raising the temperature 40-50 possibly even 100 degrees while sending a deluge of water sweeping towards California.

Even if the murder / suicide in The UK (End of Feb 2010) isn’t actually to be laid at the feet of Algore et al there is plenty of death and destruction that should be pinned on their fat butts. The diverted funds and resources wasted on this hoax, as with any major world wide hoax should have been committed to actual, real problems that can be addressed sanely, but rarely are because there are no big bucks involved.
Based on the assumption that the ‘Warming’ trend has NOT reversed there are some scenarios for which we can plan.
The fact that the Earth has been warming and may still be warming means that among other things, coastal communities, low lying islands and other effected areas should be planning their future, not whining to the UN and Algore.
Starving people on this globe need the crops that can be grown on newly thawed land as the temperate region expands to the north. Before this plenty can be utilized, transport, distribution and storage methods need to be improved greatly beyond our present condition or the food will be wasted as much aid to Africa is now.
or a Michael Moore or Rosie O’Donnell fart…you know…whatever science works for you…

Read this speech by Dr. Michael Crichton. He too was dismayed at the amount of money poured into the non-scientific consensus that is global warming. He also thought we should be spending it on more appropriate things. Here’s an excerpt.

Suicide is exactly an outcome that evil pagans like Gore hope for, people should kill themselves to help mother Gaia. Maurice Strong believes the same crap and he started the UN’s environmental program with the very idea of moving civilization BACKWARDS via DE-industrialization in order to ease the ~strain~ on this poor over-worked planet.

The past few weeks has shown that those with the hubris that they are the ‘true’ intellects, are technically bankrupt. They swallowed what they were told, then believed it was OK the original data was shreaded for some still unknown reason, that because everyone else was screaming we were all going to blister and die that it was ‘settled science’ and shouldn’t be questioned. The fact we still have members of both parties and the dolt sitting in the – Oval/feel free to put your feet up on the desk – believing in this myth is amazing. Gorbot had delusions of being Jim Jones there for a brief moment.

For anyone who hasn’t read “State of Fear” by Crichton you really ought to. There are hundreds of notes at the end of the book. This may be the most footnoted novel published in the 20th century. And it is a great read. And it is a great explanation of the hoax of AGW.
Every so often I get just a little big sad because I know I will NEVER get to read a new Michael Crichton novel…
Oh, and now Larry Summers is trying to blame the sure-to-be bad February unemployment numbers on the blizzard that was caused by AGW.

They aren’t willing, at present, to give up on their investments that they had to do or forced to do, in “green” technology. So they will be resistant too.

More likely, these “parents” would have found another reason to kill themselves and their kids, if it wasn’t global warmiing. Perhaps, it would have been the Middle East, or health. Both of them were mentally disturbed. Global warming was simply the excuse.

Did global warming cause his crime spree?
This murder/suicide is sad. The kids had no choice in the matter and certainly did not commit suicide. Is Al Gore to blame? I don’t begin to know but I do know that he’s become bloated and fat, like a huge leech sucking blood out of its victim.
When I lived in Kalifornika, you could see bumper stickers saying something to the effect of “don’t bring more lives into an already crowded Earth” or some such nonsense.
My answer to that was: “Well, you can always leave Earth if you don’t like it.” Don’t think anyone took me up on it, though.
Same thing with Goracle Warming: don’t like it, leave the Earth.
