How do you spell “tone-deaf?”; Update: Obama joins the cheerleading squad

Update: Obama says “Woo-hoo, too!”
President Barack Obama boasted Friday that his economic recovery efforts were showing results after the national unemployment rate stayed at a steady 9.7 percent for February.
Obama, touring a small business in Arlington, Va., said that the 36,000 jobs lost last month was ‘actually better than expected’ considering the massive snowstorms that devastated the East Coast.
Jim Geraghty tweets: “Reid says our jobs numbers are ‘really good;’ I haven’t felt this reassured since Janet Napolitano told us ‘the system worked.’”

Tone-deaf…???
Having your head deep in your alimentary canal will do that for ya…
With any luck November 3 we willbe able to say
Tone Deaf? That pretty much describes the Democrats in both chambers.
I’ve been reading where Obama now wants to start pushing amnesty to all of the illegals in the country. It sounds like he’s pouring gasoline onto the political fires like a gleeful arsonist who can’t wait to watch the flames.
BTW, do a google search on “Operation Wetback” during the Eisenhower administration. Between that, Hoover and Truman, this country didn’t have a problem in the past rounding up millions of illegals and shipping them back.
Maybe it is time for the GOP to play the “Party of No” and get in front of the msm and rebuke the Ds and tell the public that maybe “JUST SAY NO” to some of BHO’s and the Ds ideas and past plans because they are not working.
Anyone hear from Steele lately?
Me neither.
You could spell it Kevin Fine in Texas.
Let’s just hope that all of America sees and understands the damage that these clowns are inflicting on we peons.
Can we now declare that ‘timely and targeted’ stimulus a failure?
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is the pilot speaking. As you may know, we’ve lost both engines and are hurtling toward the ground in a death spiral. But I want to let you know some good news, the spiral may not be tightening as fast as it was a minute ago. That is all.”
Sorta OT, but BHO related.
Did you read that the guy who took Rangel’s chair has many skeltons in his closet?
The trends continue…..
Lateral jobs numbers is good news?! The man is either unfeeling or simply has no understanding of economics.
This man is an absolute freaking idiot.
Unemployment is 100% when it’s you.
I wouldn’t spit on Reid’s head if his hair was on fire.
Bravo Harry, Bravo!
“Today is a big day in America. Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today, which
is really gooddoesn’t suck as much unless you’re one of the 15 million unemployed Americans.”In other news, there are 8 million illegal aliens are now gainfully employed…
36,000 lost jobs is “good”.I feel blessed.
Did he ask those 36,000 people if THEY thought it was good?
Dingy Harry, you’re getting senile!

An old Russian (USSR) era joke:
An airliner with all the top leaders on board crashed and burned today. There were no survivors. Question–Who was saved? Answer–the Russian people!
***
I think this joke should be “warmed over” for use by Comrade Obama (PBUH) and his congressional minions. Teaparty them at all opportunities near your home. Vote them out in the 2010 and 2012 elections.

Sometimes FUNEMPLOYMENT isn’t a bad thing–if it targets the right losers. Coming soon for Dingy Harry Reid.

Why US Economy will Collapse – I.O.U.S.A. the movie
US Economy Collapse — Hyperinflation – 1
And on top of the mega debt threats we face, lets dump another bloated, corrupt, government entitlement program that makes all the other nation killers we have look like a spit in the bucket?
And bailouts and multiple porkulus and omnibus and then cap and trade too?
We have already spent ourselves to oblivion like insane asylum escapees, its going to stop, we can keep going like a radical liberal President wants us to and then collapse, it will stop.
Is Harry’s homestead near one of those nuclear waste dump sites?
To quote Jack Nicholson’s ‘Joker’–
‘this town needs an enema!’
Why is it this administration can highlight one … ONE … health care woe-is-me story and this is enough for them to justify taking over 1/6th of the US economy, but 36,000 people lose their jobs in one month and this is a-okay?
Not to worry! Obama will find GREEN JOBs for all 36,000 who lost their jobs.
Why can’t we begin the Obama impeachment talks based on a collapsing economy and intentional massive spending that’s exploding our debt? We can add to it Obama’s failure to insist the DOJ apply the law, stop giving rights to terrorist and for not taking action against new black panthers?
He went on to say; “But our work is not done yet. In other economic news, the Treasury Department released figures this week that show that the top 10% of American taxpayers actually pay 70% of tax dollars collected. My administration will not rest until this unfair situation in rectified, and the top 10% pay 100% of the tax dollars collected.”
Just added a little more good news…
304 million Americans and this is the best person the Dems can scapre up and stand in front of a microphone.
Cosmic!
Agree with jsr.
It is this same type of [faulted, incomplete] thinking that allows people to fail to distinguish between basic ‘good and bad’.
Bad news is, well, bad news. Having less bad news, does not necessarily make the news ‘good’.
Good news is: “36,000 people got jobs today”
…Moron.
Are there really people out there that are fooled by these charlatans?
Yes there are and that’s the problem we face in America.
There is a large enough segment of this country that is more interested in making history than restoring our country. They are more interested in race baiting and sticking it to white Christians than they are protecting and following the constituion. They are more interested in getting a free ride than earning a living and achieving success.
It’s that group that pulls our country down, drains our bank accounts and racks up our national debt all because they would rather see America fail than have to be responsible for themselves.
If we lose 36,000 jobs a day, by the end of the month we will have lost 1,080,000 jobs. By the end of the year we will have lost 12,960,000 jobs. At that rate we will reach 100% unemployment in 24 years. That is, if we keep the job loss at this “good” level.
Can we do it? Yes we can!
The MSM is reporting this as great news and reason for celebration. I guess it goes along with their own situation where newspaper subscriptions and tv viewership are decreasing so that must be great news.
When I hear of ABC news layoffs or papers like the Rocky Mountain News going out of business that really is great news to me.
I really thought this was a joke or something; a parody.
If there is any better proof that politicians (dems and some repubs) are light years out of touch with what is happening outside Washington, I haven’t seen it. This sound bite really makes me speechless.
So are they saying that companies laid people off and/or closed their doors because it snowed? Did any of them go back to work the next day?
Searchlight has a real dim bulb….
The stench from Washington is over powering.
Dems’ motto: The economy isn’t as bad as it could be. But, we’re working on it.
Now if Harry wants a REALLY big day, we could maybe reduce layoffs to 25,000 people a month — which over 12 months is a paltry 300,000 lost jobs. What an accomplishment! What happened to ADDING jobs to the economy? What’s really disgusting is they continue to mouth these stupid comments and expect us to believe them.
Now just notify those 36000 newly unemployed about the good news.
We need one of those “motivational” posters. This one with Harry’s Reid on it… and the Caption……
ARROGANCE
So on Tuesday or Wednesday, Larry Summers says the blizzard had hurt unemployment and implied it was going to be worse than expected. But on Friday the numbers were better than expected and we are on our way to recovery unless you are one of those 36,000 who got canned.
They really need to coordinate their stories better. Who does Summers work for? Oh, wait…
Rush had a nice analysis today that compared the number of jobs lost now vs 2001 and the losses in 2001 were higher. The only reason the situation is worse now is because no new jobs are being created.
Of course, Obama says that’s because of businesses lack of access to credit, not taxes, cap and trade, or Obamacare.
The real cause for no job creation is the insanity Barry, Harry and Nancy are trying to ram down our throats.
“When Barry Met Harry and Nancy” is a bigger disaster movie than Titanic, Towering Inferno and The Poseidon Adventure combined!
Oh, and I am still ignoring you regardless of the fact that I am responding to you. I’ll keep you posted as this develops…
The Formula:
1). Government destroys “X”.
2). Government blames capitalism for “degredation of X”.
3). Government declares it must intecede to “save X”.
Re-infect & re-contaminate for 70 years, doing whatever is necessary to maintain a minimal critical mass of Idiot Voters believing in The Formula; repeat as needed.
Reid’s comment is just infuriating. He and the rest of the Dem bone-heads would rather concentrate on health care than on what’s more important: JOBS!!! You can’t afford healthcare if you don’t have a job, Harry, Obummer, Nancy.
We have approximately 15 million unemployed people in America. That’s not all Bush’s fault. When you factor in those who are discouraged the rate of unemployment is 16% not the more hopeful 9.7% that they keep putting out there. I wish the Dems would grow up and get real. They’re taxing the crap out of producers and their healthcare ambitions will only add to the tax burden.
I’ve been unemployed for about 2 years and would “like” to get a job. I’m not collecting unemployment because I quit my lousy temp job, my husband’s employed, and wouldn’t have qualified. I’ve given up on the education field (I’m a former teacher) because there are so many out-of-work teachers out there and yet even the private sector isn’t hiring administrative workers (my current field) like they used to. I wonder why.
These Dems don’t care that they’re spending us into so much debt we’ll never recover and we’ll no longer be “good for it.” I don’t understand why they can’t see that taxing the problem doesn’t make the problem go away. If you tax away the private sector’s incentive to create jobs, there won’t be any jobs out there that the federal government needs to boost its sagging revenue.
Get a clue, Harry.
Oh, goodie!
What perfect red meat for November GOP ad material!
bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……..
But the real rate went up, 16.5% to 16.8% meaning another 450,000 Americans are unemployed in February.
Microphones are much like spandex. They can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on who is using them.
Yeah, the number of Americans employed has shrunk 20 of the last 21 months. Companies keep surprising with positive earnings by cutting costs (mostly firing employees) while mergers and acquisitions had a big year in 2009 (more opportunities for cost cutting).
Doesn’t anyone understand that a good economy provides good jobs? This has got to be the worst US government ever. It is hands down the stupidest.
Sorry for the O/T.

Who is John Galt?
From Atlas Shrugged. Galt decides to stop being a “producer” when the government taxes him to death – thus the term “going Galt.” Another more recent term is “Starve the Beast.”
Thanks, swede, but I was making the statement, not asking the question.
Sorry. Should have known that based on previous posts. Pretty common meme here.
The whole damned bunch in Washington DC are certifiable. The only way to stop this madness is to vote them all out of office. I wonder if old Harry will still think it’s good to be unempolyed come November? It will be good for the country.
I wasn’t even surprised when I heard Reid make this comment – I am well schooled at this point on the craziness of the madmen we call elected officials.
