How do you spell “tone-deaf?”; Update: Obama joins the cheerleading squad

“Today is a big day in America. Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today, which is really good.”

***

Commenter jsr: “With any luck November 3 we will be able to say: ‘Today is a big day in America. Over 300 congressmen lost their jobs today, which is really good.’”

Update: Obama says “Woo-hoo, too!”

President Barack Obama boasted Friday that his economic recovery efforts were showing results after the national unemployment rate stayed at a steady 9.7 percent for February.

Obama, touring a small business in Arlington, Va., said that the 36,000 jobs lost last month was ‘actually better than expected’ considering the massive snowstorms that devastated the East Coast.

Jim Geraghty tweets: “Reid says our jobs numbers are ‘really good;’ I haven’t felt this reassured since Janet Napolitano told us ‘the system worked.’”

Tone Deaf? That pretty much describes the Democrats in both chambers.

I’ve been reading where Obama now wants to start pushing amnesty to all of the illegals in the country. It sounds like he’s pouring gasoline onto the political fires like a gleeful arsonist who can’t wait to watch the flames.

BTW, do a google search on “Operation Wetback” during the Eisenhower administration. Between that, Hoover and Truman, this country didn’t have a problem in the past rounding up millions of illegals and shipping them back.

Yes there are and that’s the problem we face in America.

There is a large enough segment of this country that is more interested in making history than restoring our country. They are more interested in race baiting and sticking it to white Christians than they are protecting and following the constituion. They are more interested in getting a free ride than earning a living and achieving success.

It’s that group that pulls our country down, drains our bank accounts and racks up our national debt all because they would rather see America fail than have to be responsible for themselves.

If we lose 36,000 jobs a day, by the end of the month we will have lost 1,080,000 jobs. By the end of the year we will have lost 12,960,000 jobs. At that rate we will reach 100% unemployment in 24 years. That is, if we keep the job loss at this “good” level.

Can we do it? Yes we can!

Reid’s comment is just infuriating. He and the rest of the Dem bone-heads would rather concentrate on health care than on what’s more important: JOBS!!! You can’t afford healthcare if you don’t have a job, Harry, Obummer, Nancy.

We have approximately 15 million unemployed people in America. That’s not all Bush’s fault. When you factor in those who are discouraged the rate of unemployment is 16% not the more hopeful 9.7% that they keep putting out there. I wish the Dems would grow up and get real. They’re taxing the crap out of producers and their healthcare ambitions will only add to the tax burden.

I’ve been unemployed for about 2 years and would “like” to get a job. I’m not collecting unemployment because I quit my lousy temp job, my husband’s employed, and wouldn’t have qualified. I’ve given up on the education field (I’m a former teacher) because there are so many out-of-work teachers out there and yet even the private sector isn’t hiring administrative workers (my current field) like they used to. I wonder why.

These Dems don’t care that they’re spending us into so much debt we’ll never recover and we’ll no longer be “good for it.” I don’t understand why they can’t see that taxing the problem doesn’t make the problem go away. If you tax away the private sector’s incentive to create jobs, there won’t be any jobs out there that the federal government needs to boost its sagging revenue.

    Get a clue, Harry.
