Okay, this week is grossing me out. Can we hit the reset button?
We’ve gone from crapweasel Eric Massa’s claims about naked shower summits with Rahm Emanuel to a Florida GOP Senate spat over…back wax.
FOX NEWS’ VAN SUSTEREN: And sort of a punch back which occurred previously is that you have said about your opponent, Mr. Rubio, that he is the greatest fraud perpetrated. So it sounds like you have had a couple of punches back as well. Why do you say that?
GOV. CHARLIE CRIST: Because he’s trying to pawn himself off as a fiscal conservative. And yet just in reason weeks, two weeks ago it has come out in news accounts he had a Republican Party of Florida credit card that he charged $130 haircut, or maybe it was a back wax — we are not sure what all he got at that place.
VAN SUSTEREN: Wait a second, stop. A back wax? Wait a second.
CRIST: I don’t know what it was, you know?
VAN SUSTEREN: I know, but was there a suggestion it was for a back wax or are you being flip?
No, he’s just being desperate. Rubio is now 32 points ahead of Crist.

More grotesquerie in the Massa mess:
Former Rep. Eric Massa has been under investigation for allegations that he groped multiple male staffers working in his office, according to three sources familiar with the probe.
The allegations surrounding the New York Democrat date back at least a year, and involve “a pattern of behavior and physical harassment,” according to one source. The new claims of alleged groping contradict statements by Massa, who resigned his office on Monday after it became public that he was the subject of a House ethics committee investigation for possible harassment.
Massa had said that the allegations were limited to his use of “salty language” with his staff. He apologized for making some inappropriate comments and argued he was being unfairly villified. Days later, Massa accused the White House and Democratic congressional leaders of trying to oust him from office to improve their chances of passing health care reform legislation. Massa could not be reached for comment Tuesday, and no one answered the phone at his home in New York or his campaign office. Staff at his former congressional offices declined to relay messages to him and said they did not know how to reach him.
According to two sources familiar with the probe, Massa’s former deputy chief of staff Ron Hikel provided the information about the staffers’ allegations to the House ethics committee three weeks ago. Hikel had earlier sought advice from Majority Leader Steny Hoyer’s office about brewing internal complaints, the sources said, and had been urged to report the allegations to the committee.

Update: It gets worse. Interns…
The House ethics committee has received allegations that former Rep. Eric Massa groped at least three male staffers and conducted himself improperly with interns as well as full-time aides, a source familiar with the matter tells POLITICO.
One incident allegedly occurred when Massa traveled to San Francisco with an aide for a fundraising trip, a second source said.
Massa put himself outside the reach of the ethics committee by resigning his seat in a March 5 letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that was submitted on the House floor Tuesday.
The ethics committee announced last week that it had launched an investigation into allegations against Massa.
The former congressman, who claims he was pressured to resign because he planned to vote against a health care overhaul bill, has several television appearances lined up for Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Update 5:17pm Eastern…Massa is on Beck…he opened by saying “he wasn’t forced out” of office and that he took responsibility and “owned his behavior.” Well, he has spent the last 48 hours claiming he was forced out. Which is it?
A yucky little chat about sexual indiscretion followed in which Massa mentioned the “tickle fights” he engaged in and stressed that they were not, in fact, sexual.
And next…Massa’s displaying x-rays of his tumor…
5:39pm Eastern. “Please don’t be a commercial,” Beck asks Massa. Massa continues to be a Democrat campaign commercial. Now saying the solution is “campaign finance reform.”
FAIL.
Beck apologizes for wasting America’s time. It was a painful object lesson, but in the end, I think, a useful one nonetheless.

I hate to say this, and I’m a big fan of Glenn Beck’s, but he got majorly played by Massa. The interview can be characterized in the following ways:
1. Big Snorrrreeee.
2. A Massa backtrackfest.
3. The conversation went in circles and circles.
4. Massa had nothing to say, nothing new to offer, was there to cover his a$$ and make apologies.
Beck is smarter than this interview (despite what his detractors say). I came away from this interview that Massa is still a crapweasel who would have continued his conduct and shady political posturing unless he hadn’t been caught. Massa’s either a bisexual or a closet homosexual, or a politico who abuses their authority to the extent that he can use his power to manipulate his staff any way he sees fit.
The whole display was sickening and backs up the fact that Dems (along with Repubs) cannot be trusted.
Yup, emjem, after the pleasantries and a quick recap of the back-story Beck should have pushed him to name names. Some interviewers could have pulled that off, Beck just wasn’t up to it.
At least Glenn apologized to us for the wasted hour. Reminiscent of Jackie Gleason’s apology for his stinko show “You’re In The Picture”.
At any rate, he’s gonna have to endure the deserved razzing from the pundits for his failure to deliver.
Michelle, I heard you on Glenn Beck earlier today. I am furious at Glenn for treating you with disdain, constantly raising his voice, shouting you down and showing an angry side to a fellow Conservative. His attitude toward you was no different than Keith Olbermann’s insulting and vicious commentary. MICHELLE WAS RIGHT. GLENN WAS WRONG! That entire interview should NEVER happened. It was a waste of time. Massa is nothing but a Democrat talking point machine. Michelle knew it. Where the hell does Glenn get the balls to address Michelle as “You People”??? If there is an audio clip, everyone should hear the it. He was a total jackass. How hard is it to have a civil conversation? If he disagreed with you, he could have shown respect. He did not.

If not, then what is the Gay Pride Parade, Folsom Street Festival in San Francisco, the Homosexual Marriage, the “Heather Has Two Mommies,” and all that indoctrination about “Other Loving” that school children are being sold by the government, the “New Family” homosexual, lesbian, transsexual, transgendered homes for children, public schools, pro-Homosexual, Lesbian, Transsexual, and Transgendered advocates are promoting?
Really.
If this is what is being force fed the population, the children, all of us, through the media, through government sponsored promotions, through public school, television, Hollywood and the Music entertainment industry, books, magazines, and so on, and it is, then why is this men behaving like homosexual men in the house of politics news?
I thought we were supposed to just shut up and not be outraged, embrace this new, progressive world, otherwise we are “Homophobes,” and “Bigots,” and Racists, and the whole ball of wax.
I just don’t get the outrage and shock that is being expressed.

Watched Massa on Beck and my take was the same as yours Michelle. This guy can’t keep his story straight from one sentence to the next. I don’t care how drunk you are at the Christmas party, unless you really are thinking it, you don’t suggest…even as a joke…that you ought to have sex with the man next to you. It was tough listening to you and Glenn fight, Michelle. I am glad he apologized to you and later to his viewers. I think he now understands what you were trying to tell him.
But, c’mon, “You people?” What the hey? As in “you people who don’t always agree with me?” “You people” is one of the phrases that makes me cringe when anyone uses it — anyone. Even “you lefties” and “you wingnuts” or whatever other “you” label each side uses bugs me. It’s an ineffective way to argue a point, unless all you’re trying to do is tick somebody off.
At first, Massa seemed to be laying the ground work to tell us something new. Instead, it turned into a civics lesson on how we should call our congressmen and vote to correct the problems in Congress. And, his story changed from his being forced out to it was his doing and he was responsible.
Typical liberal talking points and he snookered Beck into devoting a full hour to his so-called side of the story. The libs got one over on Beck this time.
Either Massa planned this the whole time or someone got to him and made threats. Kind of reminds one of the Mafioso who turned on the Corleone family and suddenly changed his tune once the mob sent him an offer he couldn’t refuse.
Has Glenn Beck called yet Michelle? I figured he’d be on the phone right after the cameras went off.
My take on Beck is that he is still hurting from the unfair and vicious attacks he took for his CPAC speech (which was fantastic!) and was a little too sensitive about Michelle’s criticizing him over having Massa on for an entire hour. That’s not a guess on my part because Beck said so.
But he apologized at the end of the Massa interview for wasting America’s time so I would think that he acknowledged that Michelle was right. I’ll be he’s going to (or already has) said so in that letter of reconciliation to Michelle.
After watching that slimy Massa for an hour today, who could ever argue that it was worth it? Two minutes, five tops, would have done the job. Massa was so pathetic that I was feeling sorry for him at the end. This is a sad, sad man. I feel dirty from having watched Beck today.
I’ve been a fan of Beck’s since his days at CNN. He’s loopy and sometimes just plain insulting. But, when he insults someone I have a great deal of respect for – Michelle Malkin – falling on his sword tonight didn’t quite get the job done. He not only insulted her but those who agreed with her when watching the original put-down.
Actually, his rebuttal to The Tickler tonight was rather lame. His mea culpa is lacking. But, then, am I the only one that has heard him say things that have already been voiced here with no credits to the author or commenters?

Like them both. Found this morning’s show distressing, I reacted to the “you people” like Michelle did. I was taken aback.
While I appreciate the information he has gotten out to a wider audience than most radio hosts and bloggers can manage, he has started to exhibit signs of swelled head syndrome.
After some consideration, he meant what he said, he’s not one of us, we ARE “you people” to him.
Not to worry – all Beck show clips are on THIS website the day after each show.
The leftys also characterize it as … RAAACIIIST!, but only in reference to blacks. Everyone else is fair game.

Ive been worried that Glenns getting sucked in ever since he announced that tour with O’Reilly. Didnt like that at all, and I’ve been listening to him since before he got the deal with CNN. I watched his very first show over there, when he had no clue how to be in front of a camera.
I was concerned that he wasnt getting enough sleep on tour last year, but he’s def starting to go off-track just a little. Kinda like I worry that MM may have too many irons in the fire, but it looks like she’s coping for the moment.
People keep telling me to create my own website, but its hard enough to do what Im doing, much less having to produce EVERY day also.

This all just too creepy! This Massa seems to be putting out cryptic messages as a warning to others who might consider speaking against him. There is no way he is trying hide being gay, not really at this point, rather he is putting shots across the bow that he has more to tell if he does not get his way. He resigned for sure, but he is after something from the Democrats. It might be a payoff job of some sorts but rest assured, he is after something and he has more to tell if he does not get what he wants.

Glenn Beck is one of those people who is living in a dream world where there are honorable Democrat poiticians. It is one of his major blindspots.

I asked a lady at the local nails & massage shop about a “back wax”. She tells me that there is such a thing as a leg wax, which women who go on television often get that involves putting a layer of wax on the legs and then removing it later. I think the wax is warm when applied. She says she never heard of a back wax. Maybe it’s something one gets in another type of “massage shop”.
I am reminded of Rodney Dangerfield’s old joke: “I can’t get no respect. I went to a massage shop and I got a massage”.

Poor Glenn, but he has done some good work also. He’ll learn from this and go on to great things.
I think Beck and O’Reilly have gone to the “dark side”. While Beck is forever talking about the dangers of the progressive movement, he refuses to spend any real time on Obama’s past. If he looked into Obama’s hidden past with a fraction of the intensity he gives to what
is happening today, Obama would no longer be president, and the progressives/Democrats would be set back 50 years.
Someone has treatened him if he touches the off-limits subject called the investigation of why Obama hides his entire past, and what would be revealed if the media had the balls to really look into it. Whether Bush missed a National Guard drill got more attention than Obama’s entire life.
So sad for America.
One other thought. I was sick about Obamacare prior to Massa but Lord am I SICK now. Jerks like Massa are trying to take over 1/6 of the economy of the most powerful nation on earth? I sure hope God is with us because we are history with out Him (or Her).
Because a large segment of our population have a problem with “hair” there are those among us that go to great lenghts to remove all evidence of hair on their bodies (both male and female). As a hirsute male I figure if God didn’t want hair on my back (chest, arms, legs, you name it I’ve got hair on it) he wouldn’t have put it there.

I know this is off-topic a bit, but I am going crazy!! The health care bill they are trying to pass…it is the Senate bill that has ALREADY passed…right? And, it can’t be changed, right?? Then why do all these politicians on the talk shows mention all the changes that Obama has put in, and all the things they are promising to change, etc.? I thought they COULDN’T change it!! Am I misunderstanding something? Can anyone make this a bit clearer? I thought I had it all figured out, but I keep hearing conflicting messages from the very people who should know what is going on.
I like Glenn Beck. Mostly
An “Insider” and signed up for his new Extreme.
He has done a great job bringing information out and awakening people.
That being said, he is capable of screwing up.
Royally.
Lately, he’s gone a little weird on a few things.
I hope he’s not getting too full of himself.
I was appalled at the treatment he showed Michelle.
Maybe it is all the pressure he’s under and his fear of what lies ahead for our Country.
Not an excuse.
This wasn’t the same as the trap he laid for Medina. Medina may be a flake (don’t know) but he had an agenda there.
There have been other instances.
You are the one who showed real class, Michelle.
The Massa episode was a train wreck.
I’m thinking that Glenn just isn’t a good interviewer.
The one with Palin was terrible,too.
Hope he goes back to what he is best at: exposing corruption and saying the things that no one else is saying.
And educating.

Glenn Beck is a showman. I don’t think he is grounded in a consistent philosophy, nor do I think he always engages brain prior to flapping his gums.
But much of what he says is pertinent in the current news events, and I do agree with a majority of his positions.
The problem I have with him is that he is not consistent. When he equates Geert Wilders with right-wing fascism he is dead wrong. And Beck must not be dead wrong on issues such as these. He loses credibility.

You’re right Happy. According to procedure, the House needs to pass the Senate bill as is – can’t even change a comma – then it goes to Barry’s desk. If the House changes anything, it has to return to the Senate where our new hero “41″ Brown can kill it in filibuster. So their plan is to get the House to pass it as is – Barry signs it – then send it back to the Senate where they would use reconciliation to defund the parts the House demands out. (Said issues to be worked out in advance behind closed doors via back room and under the table deals) The problem being Stupak et al and other Dems don’t trust the Senate to do it. The bottom line as of right now is Nanny does not have the votes, or she would have already brought it to the floor. Nor is she likely to have them anytime soon, and the closer to mid-terms they get the less likely it is to happen.
But now they are talking about trying some new bizzarro procedures that have no precident and would dig them into a deeper hole. Desperation measures.
Thanks for the clarification, Swede! I still don’t understand why they keep talking about the changes that are in the bill and none of the people interviewing them call them on it! There is so much confustion out there, at least you would think the people in congress would tell it right!
I am a huge fan of Glenn Beck. I think he fully understands that he goofed. He even put a plug on his site for MM’s book today! He is trying to make thing right. I don’t want to make excuses for him, but he is under enormous pressure! You can just imagine that he is probably the number one target for the Chicago thugs. And his family too. He is in great danger. He has exposed this WH agenda like no one else has, and he has a radio show and a one-hour TV show with high ratings. Wouldn’t the thugs LOVE to find some way to make it look like an accident? So far, they haven’t been able to come up with a plan. But keep him in your prayers. And pray that this doesn’t take him down in other ways…he is an alcoholic and I worry.

Yes, I like the rain…but I NEED the sun!!! Hopefully soon. At least it is warming up, thank God. Winter is about two months too long.
As for Beck…I am glad he did it too. He has made peace with MM and I think his followers will forgive any possible misteps on his part. He is truly an amazing voice for the return of freedom and liberty to this country and I will stand behind him!
I like rainy, cloudy days, Scrapper – but not all the time. It’ll nice to see the sun again.
Was just down picking up a few things at Oxboro, it was nice not have to muck through big dirty snow piles in the parking lot.
But, as you know, we can get some mighty nasty snowfall in March/1st week of April. I’m remembering 1983 -I think it was (mebbe ’84) – had to walk over a mile through hip deep snow to get to work!
The follow-up call by Michelle to Glenn today was very satisfying. Michelle was right about the guy, but the interview, crappy as it was, was also illustrative of the creep-o-crats (TM-Malkin). It also gave Michelle an opportunity to expose the House “ethics” panel.
I remember, I had an adult paper route back in 1984 and waded through the most enormous show drifts!! I believe we got 95 inches that year. It was rough, but I didn’t miss a single day!

I think it was the same instance, it was like a foot & 1/2 of snow one day – then the 2nd day after that another deluge of about the same size! Most snow I can remember in such a short time. Or at least such a huge snowpile that I had to go out in, hahaha.
I wouldn’t offer up my street, but we’re in the same neck o’ the woods, Scrapper. I remember when there was a Super-valu on Nic & 98th and when Festival was a Byerly’s. But yeah, Oxboro & Clover are my main shopping stops. I don’t even bother with The Mall – that’s for tourists!
purplepeep…we have probably passed each other at Festival or Bloomington Drug! Ha! Anyway, I didn’t feel too bad telling my street, as it would be pretty hard to find Happyscrapper on W. 107th Street.
