So, has anyone made the leap to "controlling the passive food supply" yet?

Imagine a day when WALMART is shuttered because there is no food to sell because banks didn't loan money to farmers to grow it, and $6 gas would make trucking it in cost prohibitive anyway.....

SOoooooooooo....enter a father trying to feed his starving kids, but....OOOOOPS! Law dawg says NO FISHING!

HUNGRY CITIZENS WILL BE FORCED INTO BREAD LINES with the First Lady handing out soy burgers and "mushroom risotto" at the Washington DC homeless shelter....

HUNGER + FEAR = SUBJECTS, not citizens

This throw away regulation has much, MUCH DEEPER implications.

Ooooh “bears are not fish…” Thanks zzygy, we didn’ know!

(Hint zzygy: sometimes a thread is started because it’s fun to speculate and the posters know its speculation but its fun to play along.)

Maybe you knew, but the author of the exceprt is suggesting the agenda used to deal with bears is the same agenda used to deal with fish. Not to mention, the bears in the excerpt are in Canada, and the fish are in the US.

"Fun to play along."

I suppose, but when does the truth become important? People are saying things (making conclusions) based on speculation (guesses).

When do facts matter? Why spin yourself into a tizzy based on misinformation (not reading the actual report or seeing the referenced agendas)?

Moreover, individual States have greater oversight with regard to fishing and hunting. States and municipalities have more rules and regulations concerning time (when), weight, licensing and size of what you hunt or fish.

Lastly, you would do well to speak for yourself and not to the motives of other posters and why they do what they do. They are an independant lot and can speak for themselves.

Read the interim report, and then make comments.

Me, not so big on having 'climate change' mentioned, but knowledge is power, and speculating to reach conclusions is lunacy.

OH, and the bottomline line is that President Obama is not having a 'war on fishing'. Though you might want to check your home State's laws which do far more to circumvent your fishing activities.

I, admittedly, do NOT support unregulated fishing as it is a statistical fact that when our natural resources are opened up to the public with unbridled access, the public has a nasty habit of destroying it (refering to the destructive fishing habits in the Pacific Northwest in the recent past)

However, moves like these are nothing short of political power plays - it is all about CONTROL.

On this note, Obama's administration is also drafting a bill to take over millions of acres of farmland - I hope someone can investigate this further, as well
