More than half the country says: Start over.
More than 2,000 protesters turned out this morning in St. Louis to counter President Obama’s health care road show, according to the St Louis Globe-Democrat:
Hours before President Barack Obama was scheduled to speak in St. Charles on reforming the nation’s health care system, more than 2,000 people packed a convention ballroom a few miles away to rally against those reforms.
The occasion was a health care town hall meeting to hear Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, U.S. Rep. Todd Akin and other members of the Missouri legislature will hold a health care town hall meeting and teleconference at Wednesday morning at the St. Charles Convention Center.
Akin and other legislators took to task the reform bill that is now in conference. Kinder and other state legislators said the President’s health care bill would wreak havoc with state finances and a time when Missouri faces major budget cuts.
“This is the worst bill I have ever seen in Congress,” said Akin, who spoke from Washington D.C. via a video feed. Akin said enacting the federal legislation would destroy health care in America and the federal government’s ability to regulate.
Kinder touched on the same theme. He said the bill may destroy the states finances. He also said he supported resident’s opposition to the bill. “Whatever happens with this bill, I stand with you,” Kinder said. “Whatever happens we have just begun to fight.”

The twisted scheme by which Democratic leaders plan to bend the rules to ram President Obama’s massive health care legislation through Congress now has a name: the Slaughter Solution.
The Slaughter Solution is a plan by Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY), the Democratic chair of the powerful House Rules Committee and a key ally of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), to get the health care legislation through the House without an actual vote on the Senate-passed health care bill. You see, Democratic leaders currently lack the votes needed to pass the Senate health care bill through the House. Under Slaughter’s scheme, Democratic leaders will overcome this problem by simply “deeming” the Senate bill passed in the House – without an actual vote by members of the House.

I sure hope Rahm FULLY UNDERSTANDS “THE SLAUGHTER SOLUTION,” and, if you will excuse the possible double entendre after the Massa incident, doesn’t go off “half-cocked.”
If not, Americans could be at risk if Rahm “goes postal” on us…
These people aren’t making or breaking rules – they’re corrupting the system and should be held accountable to the point of felony prosecution. If there is no law against it, maybe we should deem that there is.
Where in the world is the Supreme Court when these travesties of justice are taking place. There have been cases where the Supreme Court stepped in early in our history without waiting for a lawsuit to make it’s way through the system after years of litigation when obvious abuse of power was being perpetrated.
I’m still amazed all those car dealerships were arbitrarily told they had to be closed without due process. Where was the court then?
My Congressman, Adam Schiff, is now resorting to conference call town hall meetings to avoid having to appear anywhere in person. He used to appear at elementary schools surrounded by human shields. Gets an “F” on most conservative issues including border control where Pelosi gets a “C-”. He would get bounced if there were a Republican party in CA. Lots of Republicans and conservatives but no party.
How about we “deem” the last national election null and void and we “deem” San Fran Nan, Dingy Harry, KKK Byrd, Bawney and J “Effing” Kerry all lost their respective seats to Republicans and Obambi and Slow Joe also lost.
However, we also need to “deem” that McLame didn’t win the Republican nomination…

Fifteen minutes after the “meeting” was to have started I got the expected call on my cell phone. But instead of being allowed to join the “meeting” a pre-recorded voice instantly started a message saying they were calling for the meeting and sorry that I wasn’t available to participate and that I could register to attend the next meeting at his web site!
Of course, it is a matter of public record that I have donated to his opponent. And they call me to join the meeting. Do you see how many ways these “telephone meetings” can be scammed!

1. “If you give me control of the House, and
2. If you give me a reliable super-majority in the Senate.”

I can understand claiming that passing a bill which updates the Senate version is the same as passing an updated bill.

are caving on health care and will be voting for it. Many Blue

If the “Slaughter Solution” comes to be. Every one against Obamacare should call it unconstituional and demand Obama’s impeachment. When is impeachment going to be tabled? When are his unconstituional actions considered treasonous?
There is nothing specifically unconstitutional about doing that kind of thing in general. Sure, there are things in the mix that are unconstitutional, but then that is supposed to be stopped by a Supreme Court made up of Justices who actually care about the Constitution.
We were not supposed to vote him and them into power in the first place. We were not supposed to tolerate Presidents who put anti-American, Constitution rapers on the Court.
Elections have consequences. The Constitution is a brilliant document, but even it can’t protect us from sheer idiocy on the part of the Voters.
