Corruptocrat AG Eric Holder’s “forgetfulness” strikes again

You know who should be feeling really, really stupid and sorry right now?
The 19 Republican Senators who voted to confirm Eric Holder as the nation’s attorney general despite his long track record of putting political interests of the public interest at the expense of public safety, conflicts of interest, and his own admissions of screwing up, then moving up.
Now, we learn that it just happened to conveniently slip Holder’s mind to mention during the Senate confirmation process that he had contributed to a legal brief with the use of federal courts in fighting terrorism on behalf of al Qaeda operative Jose Padilla:
“The brief should have been disclosed as part of the confirmation process,” Justice Department spokesman Matt Miller said in a statement. “In preparing thousands of pages for submission, it was unfortunately and inadvertently missed.”
Oopsy-doopsie!
GOP Sen. Sessions is “deeply concerned.” Unfortunately, Sen. Sessions was one of the 19 GOP Senators who misguidedly gave Holder the benefit of the doubt and voted to confirm him.
It’s not like they hadn’t been forewarned of Holder’s “forgetfulness.”
Let me remind you that before his confirmation, Holder “forgot” to mention that disgraced former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich had appointed him to probe corruption in the state’s casino licensing decisions. Holder pocketed $300,000 and — surprise, surprise — concluded that no corruption existed. Refresher:
Before Eric Holder was President-elect Barack Obama’s choice to be attorney general, he was Gov. Blagojevich’s pick to sort out a mess involving Illinois’ long-dormant casino license.
Blagojevich and Holder appeared together at a March 24, 2004, news conference to announce Holder’s role as “special investigator to the Illinois Gaming Board” — a post that was to pay Holder and his Washington, D.C. law firm up to $300,000.
Holder, however, omitted that event from his 47-page response to a Senate Judiciary Committee questionnaire made public this week — an oversight he plans to correct after a Chicago Sun-Times inquiry, Obama’s transition team indicated late Tuesday.
“Eric Holder has given hundreds of press interviews,” Obama transition spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said in a statement. “He did his best to report them all to the committee, but as he noted in the questionnaire itself, some were undoubtedly missed in the effort to reconstruct a list of them.”
Holder signed the questionnaire on Sunday — five days after Blagojevich’s arrest for allegedly putting Obama’s U.S. Senate seat up for sale. The Judiciary Committee asked him to provide lists and “copies of transcripts or tape recordings of all speeches or talks delivered by you” and “all interviews you have given to newspapers, magazines or other publications.”
The March 2004 Chicago news conference where Holder and Blagojevich spoke was widely covered because of a controversial 4-1 Gaming Board vote earlier that month to allow a casino to be built in Rosemont. That vote defied the recommendation of the board’s staff, which had raised concerns about alleged organized-crime links to the Rosemont casino’s developer.
What else has Holder “forgotten” to tell us?

Democrats try to keep all GOP political appointments from confirmation as long as possible. This causes the GOP to vote to confirm all Democrat appointments in an effort to show their “friends across the aisle” how it should work. Then the GOP gets back in and the Democrats stop at nothing to derail Republican appointments.
The cycle is so simple. Why the GOP remains so stupid is beyond me.

As I say, hopefully this is a major dollop into the tipping-point bucket that will see the end of this moke’s tenure as AG.
Wait and see, m’dear, wait and see.
Libs/lefties are all about “selectivity.” They are a very discerning bunch:
- Selective memories
- Situational sense of humor
- Situational outrage
- Situational morality
- Situational ethics
- Negotiable principles
I think this is what they mean when they use the word, “nuanced.”
I don’t want to know. I don’t have that many gigabytes of storage….
Vote out all incumbents. Especially those who are now “deeply concerned”. They will have plenty of time to reflect after November. They can write a book about it.
b-cat you are sooooooooooo right. They never learn. WHY?
It’s so easy to see. The Democrats play these Republicans time and time and time again, but the same result happens. Yet according to the liberal media smear merchants…..Republicans are the bad guys. I am SICK of it!
It’s so easy to tell when Dems lie – their mouths are open!
Bela Pelosi: Vat? It’s not like he endangered National Security or anytink!
Hillary: Hey Holder, show them your billing records!
*Exasperated Sigh*
We probably don’t want to know what else Holder forgot to tell us. He would scare us to death. I have very little use for Sen. Sessions. He is one of the big reasons we are in this mess.
These people (beltway types, especially democrats) are disgusting.
So the current process means that we rely solely on those who are nominated to “remember” to tell the committee about work they have done in the past? Good Lord! Doesn’t anyone have staff members who — oh, I don’t know — can DO A LITTLE RESEARCH to find out the truth BEFORE these people get up there and display their selective amnesia?
Holder is a corrupt political hack and water is wet.
Well established facts.
Liars all seem to have bad memories, because it gets so troublesome to try and keep your stories straight.
Forgetting?? They forget to report assets when preparing taxes; forget to balance their check books at the congressional bank; forget how they say one thing one day and then the opposite the day after to slime the other party; Forget to tell the truth; forget that we are not stupid enough to believe them!!!
How is it that the morally and ethically bankrupt keep getting power? What does it take to get rid of these people?
At least we now KNOW which side Eric Holder is on in the War on Terror!
Doesn’t anyone want to state the obvious? This is all about race. The republicans are race-simple, the democrats know that. All they have to do is present anyone (though it will always be a leftist which means treasonous) who satisfies the one-drop rule and they are in. They same goes for “wise latinas.”
BTW, this is why DemDeath once passed will never be repealed. As soon as one republican makes a noise to that effect, we will be inundated with sob stories about some black/hispanic person somewhere who never had health care and now … Well, you can write the rest yourself. This nation is being crucified on a cross of race. And if it makes me racist for saying it, then I am proud to be a racist.
Ut Oh
I am surprised that nobody is looking into a fanatical death penalty opponent that Obama and Holder, under advice from Chris Dodd, nominated for the US 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals that sits in NYC. The nominee is Mark Chatigny, who Chris Dodd made a federal judge in Ct. This guy is closely linked to Dodd. In the one death penalty case that Ct. ever administered in the last 50 years, a crazed serial rapist and killer named Michael Ross, Judge Chatigny was the federal judge who reviewed his case after all the state courts in Ct. said it was high time for Mr. Ross to meet his maker. Judge Chatigny did not fess up that he had written briefs before he was a judge opposing the death penalty. He also was calling Mr. Ross’s defense lawyer and telling the lawyer how to defend the case. When the defense lawyer refused to do what Judge Chatigny told him to do, Judge Chatigny threatened to “have your law license”.
Is it any coincidence that Holder and Obama want this guy to be a federal appellate judge in NYC, the same place that KSM is supposed to face trial in? That assures that even if KSM gets the death penalty, this judge will be around to reverse the death penalty on philosophical grounds.
Holder’s transgressions are kid stuff in comparison to this nominee.
So, um, they fire Inspector General Gerald Walpin for being “confused, disoriented” as a result of his investigation of Kevin Johnson? And Eric Holder is kept on board even though he is obviously senile?
Hmm….
Paging Chuck Grassley! ! ! ! !
I guess what I have finally realized after following Eric Holder’s actions concerning the Gitmo detainees, the trial of terrorist KSM, and his position on the 2nd Amendment, is that he and his cronies will DO ANYTHING to support their agenda – and I do mean anything! They do not love this country in any way, shape or fashion.
Sic ‘em Michelle and Andrew McCarthy!
Like Sessions, I am “deeply concerned” as well…yet, amazingly, not surprised at all.
971 more days until we vote Obama and his cronies out of office!
So Obama’s choice for Attorney General is someone with a conveniently hidden history of assisting an al Qaeda operative?
I’m shocked, shocked I tell you. (/sarc)
It’s just one more dot that’s consistent with the others. Connect the dots…
When an employer finds out that an employee was less than honest on the forms the employee filled out when applying for and starting their job, what does the employer normally do?
Isn’t the employee usually fired?
So, how will Obama react to an historic lack of transparency by his Attorney General???
Will Obama keep his commitment to making his administration the most open and transparent in history?
Will Obama fire Holder for Holder’s lack of transparency?
No, of course not. That would be out of character for Obama…
Why fire someone who is following your orders to the letter?
Exactly, Flyoverman.
They are two peas in the same Communist-friendly, Jihadist-friendly pod.
Since MM posted this I’ve tried to come up with something more valid than just my disgust. I’m not usually word impaired but disgust is the only thing that comes to mind.
It will be amazing if we can survive this bunch.
Senator Jeff Sessions is a GOP skunk. He stinks to high noon. Get that guy out of office ASAP. Who the hell did NOT know Holder was a nasty liberal hack who has no allegiance to the United States of America??? Sessions sucks. He’s not “troubled” or misled. He is just a typical GOP loser. I want Conservatives in office and I will donate until I go broke.
and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again.
