Don’t believe that. Only one state required a sworn statement that the candidate was constitutionally eligible, and Pelosi just signed the document anyway – that state was none other than HAWAII.

If any state passes the legislation being considered now to require proof of eligibility, I don’t think a Pelosi signed document saying “Yep, He’s OK” is the proof they will be asking for.

Last Friday, while speaking from the House Floor on C-SPAN, Congresswoman Virginia Foxx (one of four Republicans vs. nine Democrats on the Rules Committee) said that she had requested that the Rules Committee proceedings be televised on C-SPAN.

The Democratic leadership refused.

This should be our next focal point.

Challenge the self-proclaimed “Open, transparent, and accountable” Democrats to actually be “Open, transparent, and accountable” and let the people see what transpires in the Rules Committee.

In the interest of full disclosure, the quote you gave references the constitution under which the colonies were functioning at the time (1768), which was NOT the US Constitution that is the supreme law of the land here today.

However, the principle(s) referenced are relevant in that they were incorporated into our own Constitution, so there’s no inconsistency in your bringing it up.

Samuel Adams concerning man’s socialistic pursuit of utopianism:

Now what property can the colonists be conceived to have, if their money may be granted away by others, without their consent?”

The same quote with modern interpretation:

We can’t get anybody in the media to talk about an issue directly involving the U.S. Constitution, that is way above the threshold for needing an investigation.

Isn’t it weird, to say the least?

It’s not weird.

It’s par for the course.

These people would scrap the Constitution and replace it with something far less appropriate to a free people if they could.

Luckily, America hasn’t degenerated to that point. Thank God for that.

Love ya, Haps, but I don’t believe that for a minute. Nor do I believe the same about our buddy Glenn Beck.

These people have accepted his unproven birth in Hawaii as scripture without question. It’s annoying, but it’s simple fact. They say we’ve seen the birth certificate, but refuse to acknowledge that the COLB is not what the courts have ordered.

Looks like we’re going this one alone. So be it.
