I am really starting to get worried. This doesn’t bode well for freedom. I keep calling, but with Salazar as my congresscritter and Bennett and Udall as senators, I feel hopeless.
When one battle is lost, you learn what you can from it and prepare for the next. That’s war, and the donks have declared war on what we have known to now as “America.”
The lesson to be learned here is that Congress is not the place to stop donkey-care. The time has come to prepare the next battlefields: massive civil disobedience and multiple court challenges.
Twenty pieces of silver isn’t what it use to be? At least Benedict Arnold got a commission out of his treason. House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn, Pelosi and the “leaders” are but pimps for a bunch of whores.

Government healthcare is a given. Why else would the republicans whole ad campaign be to start over on healthcare legislation?
The Virginia General Assembly and Attorney General have already laid down their markers. It’s going to be interesting to see what the Feds do.
The “undecided” Democrats are those who don’t like conflict and can’t decide who to offend with their vote. Do they offend the voters, or do they offend the party bosses? They are hoping that if they just do nothing, this will all just go away and they won’t have to take a stand either way.
Whose rath do these congress critters fear more? Our wrath, or that of Pelosi, Obama, and SEIU thugs?
There is a way for them to take the moral high ground…
Publicly state that you want Obama to be good for his word and keep his multiple promises that Healtcare reform would NOT be passed with a “50 plus 1″ strategy, but rather with a 60% majority in BOTH HOUSES.
Rather than using “deem and pass” and hope that the Senate uses reconcilliation to get the bill you want, tell the Senate to start over with a new bill that gets it right the first time.
If a new bill can’t get a 60% majority in both the Senate and the House, then by Obama’s own confession that mean’s “you can’t govern“.
Stop the Democratic Socialist Blitzkrieg, and insist that the Democratic “Leadership” actually start governing!
If there had to be a backup plan, that’s a great one.
If you haven’t restocked your bunker lately, today would be a good time to start. You know what is necessary to preserve your freedom and the principles upon which this country was founded.

Called my weasel congresscritter’s local office today and got right through. That seems to be a bad sign to me! I kind of hoped the lines would be choked…
The guy I spoke to was very polite and I was too. But I was very direct. When I explained how the bill was unconstitutional and the “Slaughter Solution” was unconstitutional and that we would be watching his vote very closely they guy said little.
When I asked how the weasel was going to vote he responded “we don’t know.” And I told him that was UNACCEPTABLE! The weasel OWES us an answer!
He took my name and address and promised to get back to me. I expect the black helicopters any minute now…
He might not want to do that. Most of us remember our oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic a LOT more seriously than Washington DC politicians.
War, you may not see helicopters but don’t hold your breath about that call. You should have followed up his promise with your skepticism due to the lying nature of most politicians.

“Fence sitters” in the House should stop and realize that in the last four months, the only time Obama’s Approval Index improved to only single-digit negatives (reaching a high of -4), was when Obama promised during the SOTU to focus on JOBS instead of HEALTHCARE. The minute people realized that Obama had lied, his Approval Index dropped to double-digit negatives, and today he has matched his record low of -21.
Table the Health Care discussion, focus on improving the economy, and if you later come back to Health Care, START OVER WITH A NEW SENATE BILL!
One of our founding fathers said (I think it was Ben Franklin) ” when the people find that they can vote to rob the treasury the republic will be destroyed.” We are at that point.
This arrogance does not surprise me at all. What does surprise me is that people have put up with it in albeit quieter ways for decades and still kept voting for them.
I remember my first exposure to a US Congressman was by the name of Al Swift,Democrat, of Washington State’s 2nd congressional district back when I was a high school senior in 1981. This ‘Congressman’ was the most arrogant Know-It-All I’ve ever met. What baffled me then was how the voters of Second District would keep returning this guy back to Capitol Hill term after term…
Perhaps some of these voters in the article are now learning a valuable lesson as to how their ‘representative’ really views his/her voters…A lesson I learned when I was 17.

Thanks George W Bush. Seven years ago today you invaded Iraq. The way you conducted the war cost the republicans both houses of congress in 2006. Think about the republican senators who were knocked off in 2006. Had they won they would not have faced reelection during the recession of 2008. If we had just 1 of those guys in the Senate this past year we could have prevented Obamacare. Now we are powerless and can only hope a few democrats vote our way.

Exactly. If you watch and listen to Pelosi here, her voice sounds nervous. She’s not nearly as happy and downright giddy as she would be if she truly had the votes.
The whole process here is to create a sense of inevitibility… “fake it ’till you make it” … so that those Reps who are still on the fence think that it will pass, and then choose to join what they think is the winning side. Pelosi is hoping for a self-fulfilling prophesy.
The Dems are lying through their teeth, but if enough spineless Reps fall for it, Pelosi could succeed. The best thing the fence sitters could do would be to ALL hold back until the ACTUAL VOTE, then when Pelosi only has 206 votes without the fence-sitters, they all vote NO and KILL THE BILL.
Don’t commit to Pelosi now. It’s all a charade right now. The clock is ticking for Pelosi. She doesn’t want to put it to a floor vote unless she KNOWS she has the numbers, so if you hold out and don’t let her know she has the numbers, then she will either have to put it out there without knowing the result in advance (a very risky move), or she will have to pull it back from a floor vote, and therefore admit that she doesn’t have the votes yet!
Don’t let her put YOU on the spot, instead, put HER on the spot.
Don’t tell Pelosi how you plan to vote. Let her sweat the next two days!

I’m not ready to give up, even if it passes. What would happen it the public continued to keep the capital phones busy? What would happen if the dems couldn’t raise money for campaigns? If I had taken all the money that I had to pay for health insurance and put in in the bank or invested it for medical purposes, I would have been in great shape. Those on the dole have limited options. Pelosi et all are counting on us to cave if this is passed. We can’t afford to cave.
The democrats are banking on a lot of citizens/voters that aren’t aware of what is going on; a small percentage not caring. For example, my neigbor is more interested in the “Billboard top 10″ than what’s happening in D.C.. Too many are apathetic to this take-over of their country. The democrats want this to continue. As long as it doesn’t immediately affect their jobs, tv programs and music, many don’t care.

That’s been the plan from day one, sneak through health care by saying it won’t cover illegal aliens and then voila, make them all legal. The majority of the uninsured ARE illegal aliens and they are the ones running up the costs by not paying for the care they receive. Those costs are recovered from US. This whole health care fiasco is for the benefit of citizens of other countries, who are in our country illegally (that’s against the law for you out in Rio Linda).

That’s likely the major reason that most, if not all trolls, especially the one I figure your comment was prompted by; are, to some degree, angry and nasty.

Somewhere inside of themselves, the trolls know that they are just plain wrong to promote the dangerous, evil, America-hating policies that they promote.
They know that what they promote is wrong, yet they keep promoting it – cannot stop promoting it.
And that conflict eats away at their insides.
They will not admit it. But, no matter how mightily they deny it; no matter how they mock, no matter how viciously they attack their political, worldview opponents for pointing this out…this conflict is a source of relentless, unceasing, unbearable pain for them.
In the case of supporting Obamacare that would be because at some subconscious level they know that someday they, too, will wait a year to get an MRI, two years to get a hip replacement or be denied an organ transplant or other course of treatment that could cure their illness. Likewise, supporting other nonsense like Amnesty and Cap and Trade. They know that even if they are fortunate enough to have a job that their wages will be depressed as millions of unassimilated people at odds with American values are given legal status and that more and more of those reduced wages will be used to pay for basic utilities, leaving little, if anything at all, for something resembling the entertainment that smoothes the rough edges of a subsistence lifestyle. They know and yet they mock and attack. The kool-aid has overwhelmed their ability to think rationally.
No one will do what’s necessary to stop this. Signs won’t help and one person acting alone won’t do any good. Even in the face of tyranny, there is no will to impose the Constitution.
Our country is being overthrown and no one will fight.
Talking about it doesn’t help. The majority has spoken, but the Democrats won’t listen.

The democrat majority that came in 2006 did not cut funding to the war because they weren’t going to leave US troops with their butts exposed in the field. The republicans were the ones who wanted the war and the people punished them for it in 2006 largely because the reasons given for going to war and the estimated expenses of the war were way off the mark.
Going to war in Iraq was a gamble. The republicans stood to benefit immensely if it went clean and quick like the 1991 Gulf War. Remember Bush I went to 91% approval in 1991. However, they stood to lose, and they did, if it was not.
I still stand by my original statement. The republican senators who lost in 2006, and thus would not have had to run during the recession in 2008, could have prevented Obamacare. So to me I’ll add the cost of this medical monstrosity to the other direct and indirect costs of the Iraq war.
