Video: Baghdad Jim McDermott rails against conservative “indecency”
For those of you who may have forgotten, radical leftist Democrat Rep. Jim McDermott earned the infamous moniker “Baghdad Jim” after traveling to Iraq in the fall of 2002 for a Saddam-backed junket before the U.S. invasion.
McDermott is also the defiant lawbreaker who leaked a tape of an illegally tapped phone conversation by GOP leaders to the New York Times. McDermott was found by a federal appeals court to have violated the rights of GOP Leader John Boehner, who was heard on the 1996 call involving former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and was ordered to to pay Boehner more than $700,000 for leaking the taped conversation. The court ordered McDermott to pay Boehner more than $700,000 for leaking the taped conversation. The figure includes $60,000 in damages and more than $600,000 in legal costs. A court had to force McDermott to pay the money — now up to $1 million. It’s unclear how much he has actually ponied up since that ruling.
Which brings us to March 2010: McDermott is still in office, backed by corruptocrat Democrat leaders. He took to the House floor over the weekend to condemn conservatives (including yours truly) and “Teabaggers” for their “indecency.” Our crime? Having the audacity to question Democrat pro-health care takeover anecdotes and to challenge their indecent kiddie human shield strategy.

Please Michelle, go easy on us today. I am still sick from listening to the spitter on Fox earlier. Between the spitter, Oreilly and Shep(the 3rd stooge) I barely watch FOX anymore.

It’s an upside down world when the workers are called greedy and selfish and the freeloaders demanding “free” healthcare are not.
I pledge to do what I can to get us out of this upside down world.
That’s the whole philosophy of socialism/communism/fascism. Get as many people on the government handout list as possible, in the “interest of protecting them”. The more people enslaved the more power the government has. Congressmen and Senators support this to be the “elites”. People who support such ideas are “useful idiots”.
We’ll see taxes skyrocket in the next couple of years, hitting the middle class the hardest, and essentially creating an overwhelming lower class handout majority. Every policy that this administration seeks is to do just that – enslave as many as possible.
Well, he can get ready for more indecency as the right-wingers start asking the Demwits to explain again why illegal aliens should have a legal status. That will be the next round and probably what Slaugher was speaking of when she said “There is nothing new that we can’t tackle”.
Let’s face it, if any Democrat in any center-to-right leaning district is elected in the next few elections, then the sheeple have no one to blame but themselves.
I for one, will never vote for anyone with a D after their name even if its for city dogcatcher (animal control for the younger generation). At least not in this lifetime.
You know the old replies. It’s because “we’re a nation of immigrants.” “They want a better life for themselves and their families.” “They contribute to our economy.” The real reasons are to increase the districts for the democrats, and put more people on government handouts and control.
You quite obviously cannot tax those who are not “earners” or those on the dole. The Current Congress and Regime must be the most economically illiterate band of fools ever to hold office. I am hoping that the November elections can alter and influence the ability of these misguided dolts to fund the mischief that they have been up to.

The passage is telling individuals to give as they are able to give, not to give to government, or make government confiscate funds to do your job as an individual.

Just wait till more small businesses lay off more people. Remember any business with 50 or more employees have to cover all their workers under Obama Care, leading to more small businesses ensuring they do not grow past 49 employees.
When this happens and unemployment rises higher the Dems will see even less of a tax revenue increase than they predicted which means they will just raise taxes even higher on those who remain employed and of course “the rich”.
I will be surprised if the dems don’t raise the tax rate to over 50% of our income by the time they loose power.

So how much has he (Mcdermott, personally) ponied up? Sounds like his supporters are carrying poor Jim.

Oddly enough, one day in 1996, I spent most of the day in company with a Dem staffer on a conference call as they worked out their talking points involving this. When you see someone as unutterably stupid as McDermott, remember that the staffers do all the work. Part of the problem of “voting them out” is that often staffers remain – especially if they sense someone stupid coming in.
It’s part of the “the more things change, the more they stay the same.” You would also be shocked at how much national policy is set by 20 year old interns – because the rep is somewhere else. (On a juncket, running the whore house in the basement, etc.)

AlohaGuy: I sat next to a college student on the bus ride from the Pentagon to Springfield, VA one afternoon and found out she was doing summer intern work in HUD (if memory serves me). I asked what she wanted to do after she graduated and she replied, “Write government policy.” I asked “Right after graduation?” When she replied, “Yes.” I asked where she would get the experience for such a task and she blithely answered, “I’m getting that now!”
Sheesh! That was nearly 20 years ago, I imagine she is firmly entrenched in her gubmint job and foisting great ideas upon us awaiting her pending retirement and corresponding ‘bennies.’
