Alan Grayson goes nuts at a Perkins family restaurant

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 9, 2010 11:37 AM

So, here is Democrat MSNBC host-wannabe Alan Grayson starring in his latest unhinged YouTube instant classic. Yesterday, Orange County Florida Republicans were having a regular meeting at their local Perkins family restaurant when Grayson crashed the gathering — and started mouthing off about being interrupted and “spied on.” He told one of the attendees that he barged in on to “talk a walk” and cursed several times.

Via Tea Party Patriots Live:

On Thursday, April 8th, 2010, Congressman Alan Grayson, Democrat in Florida’s 8th district, interrupted a district meeting of the local Orange County Republican Executive Committee. The meeting was being held at Perkins, a family restaurant.

…Matthew Falconer, candidate for Orange County Mayor, quickly challenged Alan’s rudeness. Grayson demanded not to be interrupted, but Falconer quickly reminded the congressman that he is in fact interrupting their meeting.

Linda O’Keefe, member of the Orange County Republican Executive Committee and extraordinary patriot volunteer with the Orlando Tea Party said, “I’m wondering if Grayson realizes that we do still, for now, have the right to assemble! But can’t we have a meeting without being interrupted by our congressman?”

Currently, there are 12, Republican candidates looking to send Alan Grayson to the unemployment line in November.

Tom Tillison of the Tea Party Patriots Live radio show and the Orlando Tea Party, had quite a lively discussion with Alan afterwards for 10 minutes. Tillison said, “I let him know that he’s a congressman and he needs to act like one. I reminded him that these are his constinuents.” Tillison asked Grayson, “Don’t you feel that you at least owe them an explanation for your recent votes?”, to which Alan replied, “I don’t owe them anything, they’re trying to defeat me.”

Tillison followed, “You are a U.S. Congressman and you approach these people acting like a thug.”….to which Grayson responded that he was “being attacked.”

Classy:

Matthew Falconer, early Friday, released this statement:

“On Thursday April 8th I was attending a meeting of the Orange County Republican Executive Committee at a Perkins Family Restaurant in Windermere. About 30 Republicans were meeting when Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson barged into our meeting ranting about how we put spies into an Organizing for America meeting.

As I was sitting with Orange County Republican Chairman Lew Oliver, I stood up to Grayson and demand he apologize to Lew for the vial (sic) comments he made recently (Grayson said “Lew Oliver could not find a $20 bill if it was stuck in his A**”). Grayson yelled at me for interrupting him when I reminded Grayson he was interrupting our meeting.

The conflict was caught on video showing Alan Grayson, a U.S. Congressman, standing in the middle of a family restaurant screaming at his constituents. Politics aside, I do not think the man has the emotional stability or integrity to represent us in the U.S. Congress.

Grayson pledged to use his own personal funds to defeat me in my race for Orange County Mayor (supporting his Democratic friend Bill Segal). He then told me to get my “a** out of his face.”

I am in awe of the lack of respect he showed for the customers of this restaurant and his constituents.”

Watch (fyi – some of it is filmed sideways):

Channeling cranky candidate Obama, commenter RTater jibes: Just let them eat their waffles. Heh.

Well, maybe if a Dem is caught with a smoking gun over a dead body, but maybe not. I’ve said it before Dems have a perpetual “Stay Out of Jail Free” card for lifetime use and rarely get tossed in a country club slammer….usually for actions like this they spend a few weeks or months in ReHab, where they evidently still can be brought out to vote when needed, then its back to business as usual or a quiet and profitable retirement.

Well, then how do you know she “actually did make a case for preemptively locking up American citizens”? In any event, the truth of a comment is no defense to the assault during the argument. In terms of “damages”, there were a number of epithets thrown at Michelle that are slanderous on their face. There is a presumption of emotional distress when someone whips a crowd into a frenzy where eventually they are calling for her death.
It’s to her credit that she’s so brave and doesn’t need the money. She’d win that lawsuit, in my experience. And I’m always on the defense side!

If Grayson actually believed those folks were dangerous, he wouldn’t have walked in and interrupted their meeting. He would have called the cops instead.

Same goes for all those Democrats who went out of their way to walk through the crowds on the day they passed the health control bill in defiance of public opinion and Congressional rules.

They’re all disingenuous phonies, but I don’t expect the State Media to ever pose a question like, “Hey, if you are actually afraid these people will harm you, why are you walking through the crowds taunting them?”

Well, then how do you know she “actually did make a case for preemptively locking up American citizens”?

Well, the title of the book was sort of a clue, and she’s written about the controversy several times, describing herself as someone who defends the Japanese internments of WWII. I think I even read a chapter of her book that was posted on this site a few years back, but I can’t seem to find it now, so maybe I was mistaken.

In any event, Jones is a classless lout, but I’m not convinced hurling insults, even via megaphone, should be an actionable offense.

In all seriousness, as has been the case with Democrat congresscritters of late, expect Grayson to announce that he will not be running for re-election. After this incident, which has been recorded, the DNC or the Pelosi/Reid machine might quietly inform Grayson that he’s not going to run for re-election. We’ll never know for certain but he might make such an announcement in days.

    Beukeboom may be right!

According to Larry Sabato’s web site the Party Primary Filing Deadline in Florida is on 4/30 for the 8/24 Primary.

So we will know soon if Pelosi will allow Grayson to run for re-election.

Keep up the pressure on Grayson folks! The timing of this video is perfect!

Here is a link to the list of Primary dates and filing dates so we can all see when important dates are approaching.
