Snort: Huffpo writer moans about Left’s lack of “women of any wattage”

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 9, 2010 03:34 PM

Well, well. It looks like the libs are coming down with a case of Strong Conservative Woman Envy.

Take a look at this:

The fact remains that there is a “Hillary hole,” with women wanting their turn, while people hunger for something radically different, which is currently being filled by the Tea Party, a star named Sarah and her fans. Not surprisingly, as poll after poll on her rolls out, the narrative on Sarah Palin continues to be filled out unfairly. I know, you’re shocked. But love her or hate her, whether she runs in 2012 or not, when you look at the left, the reality is there’s no anti-Palin progressive who matches what Palin’s got.

…Mrs. Palin’s politics aren’t for me, and though I pine to see hot headliners from the left, instead we get the likes of Claire McCaskill, Kathleen Sebelius and other Obama blue dog duds, with no women of any wattage in sight.

What makes the piece extra-amusing: The female writer, Taylor Marsh, posted her lament on the blog of political cross-dressing Gingrichite-turned-liberal Arianna Huffington.

No comment from Marsh on Arianna’s wattage.

God knows Huffington is about as illuminating as a 4 watt bulb. The way Guiliani and even other liberals on Morning Joe chewed her up and spit her out is indication of that.

Well said on both counts. I was screaming throughout the campaign as the MSM was picking off any legitimate potential conservative until they got down to McCain. They were terrified of Rudy, but we really had no conservatives in that race.

It may be a blessing that the Marxists swept totally into power. Sooner or later the country had to see what evil they are capable of. With a Republican President they could still get a lot of poison into the water and continue to blame Republicans for all the problems they created. They are exposed now.

Very few of the Republicans are anything but “a bunch of limp-wristed panty-waisted losers” either I mean let’s be honest here. Michael Steele?, Gov. Mark Sanford? Mark Foley?

I mean let’s look around, their aren’t a lot of people in politics today who’ve any demonstrable backbone or even a set of cojones. The biggest set of them belong to a woman who half the Republicans castigate. Might not be the brightest bulb out but definitely more manly than most of her colleagues in the party.

Just reason #572,639 why I’ve abandoned the Republican party to its own demise and only back individual conservatives while knowing over half of them will turn out to be greedy, power hungry, spineless wonders. Our country and its institutions no longer build men from boys.

Leftist chicks are dumber. That’s just how it is.

They’re easier too, but you have to be careful about that because they carry diseases. No big surprise, considering …

Curiously, although they are easier, they are not more … how shall I say … warm blooded or amorously inspired. Surprisingly often, quite the contrary.

The really good looking leftist chicks tend to be brainless performer types, and the ones with any detectable IQ tend to be over-educated sexually damaged drabs.

All in all we’re doing really well in that area.

Malkin, Palin, Coulter, Crowley … it’s a long list. I won’t attempt it here. But we’ve got an amazing line-up of gorgeous brainy babes.

The emergence of this phalanx of ferocious feminine dazzlers is an interesting phenomenon when considered historically.

The left, seeing the emergence of a new collective to exploit early on did everything in their dark powers to hijack the development of the public visibility of individual women — a privilege which, prior to capitalism, had been reserved for the daughters and wives of royalty.

And they had most people fooled for a long long time, or at least several decades.

Now we see that growing numbers of people, impressive not only as thinkers, writers, professionals and officials of various sorts, but impressive as women-qua-women are rising up in opposition — and ferocious opposition at that — to the left, and are standing forward as defenders of freedom.

Rising up, I will add, from among the common folk.

Not what the progressive and leftist theorists had been anticipating.

Too bad about all those girls trapped in Russia and China.

But we’ve got ours. And I’m sure there are more on the way.
