How to spot and tag a Tea Party infiltrator

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 15, 2010 09:09 AM

Happy Tax Day Tea Party. Be safe out there. A few tips on how to spot and tag a Tea Party infiltrator:

1. Ask them what the 10th amendment says.

2. Two letters: B.O. (and I’m not talking about the president’s initials).

3. Glaringly obvious lack of subtlety.

4. Upside-down flags.

5. From reader Amy, a free “Infiltrator” sign (click here to download large size):

6. And from Temple of Mut, another downloadable sign:

***

From reader Peter in Boston who attended yesterday’s rally:

What lame counter-protestors!

Group of Emerson College kids with a sign “Tina Fey Did It Better.” I said, “Who’s Tina Fey?” These dumb kids actually tried to explain to me: “She’s a famous comedian on SNL.” I said, “SNL is still on the air? I thought they died after Belushi!” “Oh no,” they assured me, “This is their 35th season!” Then I couldn’t resist! I asked, “What night is it on?” They actually answered me seriously, “Oh it’s on Saturday nights …” Then they realized I was mocking them and they got really pissed off.

And from Grand Rants, a look at those “racist rednecks” in Beantown.

Hopefully going to the 7 PM Tea Party @ Farley Post Office on 8th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Street in NYC. FYI NJ tea partiers who can’t make it to Trenton, Hackensack, Morristown or other places – take PATH to 33rd Street or NJ Transit to New York Penn Station. For PATH, when you get to street level, you’ll be on 6th Avenue – walk west two blocks and you’ll be at the Farley Post Office. For NJ Transit riders, when you get off your train, go upstairs into the station, head west towards the Amtrak section of New York Penn Station, then walk out onto 8th Avenue.

I really needed a 2nd cup of coffee; it took me about 5 minutes to get that.

Then I couldn’t resist! I asked, “What night is it on?”

Then the 2nd cuppa joe ended up on the monitor! But Peter helped make my day by sharing that hilarious exchange, so I don’t mind the mess.

It should be a grand day!

Exactly! The very fact that they feel the need to infiltrate means they realize the Tea Party is NOT racist, etc. Otherwise, why would they need to do that? They are really really stupid. It is the old “unintended consequences” that the progressives are so famous for.

Just like he did in October 2008. Railway porter-turned-billionaire financier George Soros delivered a stark warning last night that the financial world is on the wrong track and that we may be hurtling towards an even bigger boom and bust than in the credit crisis.

The man who ‘broke’ the Bank of England (and who is still able to earn a cool $3.3 bln in a year) said the same strategy of borrowing and spending that had got us out of the Asian crisis could shunt us towards another crisis unless tough lessons are learned.

I may introduce a resolution for our council to vote on, sending a letter to Supreme in Connecticut, where Father McGivney started the first council, so immigrant (legal) Catholic men could support the widows and orphans of parishoners, and ask that Bart Stupak, who used to make a big deal about being in the KofC, be expelled from the order. But then again, I doubt he’ll show his face in church again back home, or in the K of C meeting hall.

But between that and work, no Tea Party for me.

But good luck to those patriots demanding we follow the Constitution, and demand that our government act as our servants, not our masters.

    Infiltrators are easy to spot.

    1. If you spot a “hipster,” keep an eye on him or her. Signs include haircuts right out of Bust magazine, piercings, plugs, Commie star tattoos, and thrown together thrift-store wear. Sure, there could be real deal Tea Partiers who fit that description, but trust me, they’re in the minority.

    2. If you spot guys with ponytails or unkempt beards, chicks with armpit hair, people who smell like b.o. (not “Barack Obama”) or like a gallon of patchouli oil, keep an eye on them. If they look like they wouldn’t be out-of-place playing hacky sack or smoking weed, you might have found yourself an infiltrator. Sure there could be real deal Tea Partiers who fit that description but it’s hard to find infiltrators who don’t.

    3. Look out for people in stupid costumes or are trying real hard to draw attention.

She does a fairly good Palin impersonation, and many of the supposed stupid things Palin said, like “I can see Russia from my house”, Palin never said, it was Fey doing Palin.

Palin may have Idaho and Alaska roots, but someone in the family seems to be from the Upper Midwest, and most of Fey’s imitation was a vaguely “Fargo-esque” accent and cracks about being a former pageant contestant.

She has a show with the whacked drinking/daughter abusing Baldwin that I don’t watch, even though I do watch “The Office”, just because it has two hyper-partisan lefties.

I know most NYC/Hollywood celebs are lefties, but I’ll see some movies/watch some TV unless they are so blatantly partisan I can’t get past it.

Not to derail into celeb-talk, but I think a great political truth has been accidentally stumbled on here: liberals are overwhelmingly impressed by “celebrities”, conservatives – not so much. e.g. When some liberal celeb who plays a doctor on the telly is actually believed by other liberals to be a medical expert and called to Washington to testify in that capacity.

    Its gotten a little better.

She is uber-lefty, and is in a new movie with that funny guy from “The Office”.

SNL was typical when she was head writer (Seth Meyers is head now), but she was just the top of a huge crew of scribes, not the only one. Bashing her is retarded.

She wrote Mean Girls, which made Lindsey Lohan a star, which unfortunately led to her being a basket case. It was a funny movie. Tina’s not to blame for Lindsey’s fall. In fact, when Lohan hosted SNL the 2nd time, Lorne Michaels and Tina tried to stage an intervention. I guess trying to help a sick person isn’t allowed to uptight haters like you.

30 Rock is a riot – one of my favorite shows – because of Fey’s writing and acting and because of Alec Baldwin. Yes, he is an absolute buffoon and idiot in real life, but unlike you, I can separate most Hollyweird clowns repulsive politics from their performances. Even Sean Penn – who should be thrown in a Cuban dungeoon – can act.

She is NOT an ultra-lefty partisan. She’s a quiet writer who somehow stumbled into the spotlight with grace. She dated her husband for 7 years before they married in 2001 and they have a 4 year old daughter. When she did her Esquire cover, she refused to pose for any too-risque photos because she didn’t want her daughter seeing them and have to explain them. A real swinging lib, she isn’t.

Her folks were Republican, but she’s coy about her views because she knows that being a Republican in show biz is a career killer, so she can’t be the ultra-lefty you ignorantly smear her as. In fact, on 30 Rock, her character blurted out (paraphrasing), “I tell people I’m voting for Barack Obama, but will probably vote for McCain because he’s better on security.” (Rush read a misquoted version of this from the NY Post and called her a Hollywood fake based on the misinformation.)

She’s smart, funny, self-deprecating, cute and compared to most show biz dolts, an upstanding citizen who doesn’t seem to have an axe to loudly grind. She may vote for Dems, but she’s no Janeane Garofalo, Ed. You do REAL conservatives a massive disservice with your misinformation.

But that’s not how it worked. It was $11 per week less in withholding that did squat for my bills. If I had that in a lump sum, then I could pay a bill, but no, that was too simple. This way, you get to have a special form and people to process it and it does jack for helping anyone out.

Obama can’t help it if people aren’t disciplined enough to set aside that money every week until it amounts to something more useful.

True enough however the problem is that OBAMA has indicated he and his government will take care of us.

You can’t then use people’s individual responsibility, or lack thereof, as an excuse for Obama’s failures.

Even if that were so, Chap, it’s mighty cold comfort to bloodless turnips. The elderly dependent on Social Security for their sole income have fared even worse under Obama – they will receive no COLA for two years and he raided their Medicare to the tune of a half trillion $$ in his bid to impose government run healthcare on Americans.

Wrong, I owe more this year because because two child dependant credits expired, and I even had less income. The wife and I are contemplating divorce just to defray tax liabilities as a married couple. (at least that what she says)
My parents had a tax base of around 16% when I was a young boy. We had a house and could save for vacation trips and everything. Roads were better, schools were better, now almost 40% of my hard- earned money is stolen from me. My wife and I haven’t been on a real vacation since ’88. My bills and taxes keep going up and my quality of life is going down. But I’m not taxed enough?
