How to spot and tag a Tea Party infiltrator

Happy Tax Day Tea Party. Be safe out there. A few tips on how to spot and tag a Tea Party infiltrator:

1. Ask them what the 10th amendment says.

2. Two letters: B.O. (and I’m not talking about the president’s initials).

3. Glaringly obvious lack of subtlety.

4. Upside-down flags.

5. From reader Amy, a free “Infiltrator” sign (click here to download large size):

6. And from Temple of Mut, another downloadable sign:

From reader Peter in Boston who attended yesterday’s rally:

What lame counter-protestors!

Group of Emerson College kids with a sign “Tina Fey Did It Better.” I said, “Who’s Tina Fey?” These dumb kids actually tried to explain to me: “She’s a famous comedian on SNL.” I said, “SNL is still on the air? I thought they died after Belushi!” “Oh no,” they assured me, “This is their 35th season!” Then I couldn’t resist! I asked, “What night is it on?” They actually answered me seriously, “Oh it’s on Saturday nights …” Then they realized I was mocking them and they got really pissed off.

And from Grand Rants, a look at those “racist rednecks” in Beantown.

I dropped my extension form and a check in the mail today. I paid more taxes than ever before this year. If you count federal and state income tax and FICA I paid over 20% of my gross income. And I still have lots of exemptions and credits for kiddies at home. The federal taxes on my self-employed income approached 30%! I am wondering if the extra hours of work are worth the trouble at that marginal rate…

The problem is not that I pay too few taxes. The problem is that the governments at every level cannot and will not control their spending. Budgets across the nation grew by huge amounts over the last 10 to 15 years. And in spite of all this extra government spending government claims they need MORE!

I am tired of paying for a senior assistant to the senior assistant of economic growth analysis in Fairfax County Virginia, Richmond or DC. It I paid for less government there would be more growth and no need for any bureaucrat to analyze why there is less growth at every level!

“How much is enough?” Governments always answer “more!”

Obama can’t help it if people aren’t disciplined enough to set aside that money every week until it amounts to something more useful.

If people had any self discipline, there would be nobody for the Dems to pander to.

What, John? You mean to imply that the government shouldn’t be in the business of telling hard working people what they should do with the money they earn?? Someone should report you to Obama’s fishy snitch brigade for such crimethink!

As in “he’s crayfishing for compliments”?

Actually I don’t anyone personally who goes crayfishing. Here in the Land Of 10,000 (plus) Lakes we literally have bigger fish to fry – and eat! Walleye, Northern, Sunfish – all sorts of fine finned food.

If we’re in the mood for bite-sized critters we grab a bucket and go for smelt, not puny lobster wannabees. :)

Filed weeks ago, paid the CPA $275 to get a $30 refund. I’ll be using Timmie’s Magic Turbo next year. My CPA best retire, no one can afford to use him anymore and the filings are going to be twice as hard to file once our nutzoid gets through. Only a few I know got much back this year, so perhaps they’re doing something right. Another group owed, a lot…

Drove to the Tea Party and there were enough parked on the streets (no public parking close by with any spaces) it would have been a good little jaunt so I gave up and went home.

We do what we can and yep, I’ve donated money for posters and other supplies to the local group. Horse feathers? Nope, money, yankee riding, $$$.

    Bruce,
Be careful. That video looks good at first glance, but it’s really a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The real message of the video is not Biblical, even though it mentions the Bible. The real purpose is to try to draw “Bible clingers” into Obama “Hope and Change”…

It’s getting where there’s nowhere left to turn
Not since the crash of twenty-nine have things been so unfair
So many of our citizens are living in despair
    The time has come
To reaffirm that hope’s not just for some

ITookTheRedPill #132 – spot on. I’ve received this video about a dozen times and even checked out the group’s website via google. It’s not what it seems. Veiled propaganda. Sadly, so many that sent it are believers that don’t question anything once the Bible is mentioned. The words tell the story.
