“Tea Klanner:” The Left’s shameless new smear
Tired of the old, sexual vulgarity “Tea Bagger” popularized by the likes of CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Matt Taibbi, the Left has concocted a new epithet for the Tea Party movement:
The “Tea Klanners” or “Tea Klan.”
The meme has been spreading on Twitter and left-wing blogs. Now, it has surfaced among Alinsky’s avenging angels at the Denver Tea Party (via Peoples Press Collective):

The captions read: “New shape, same hate” and “Tea Klanners.”
No, they have no shame. And they have no clue. Even as they scream ever louder about the bigotry of the Tea Party activists, the wide movement of anti-bailout, anti-cramdown activists continues to attract a truly diverse mass of people. Take, for example, one of the attendees spotlighted in Examiner editor J.P. Freire’s post on some rather, er, eclectic D.C. Tea Party protesters. Just go read it through until the end.
I’d like to see the “Tea Klanner” smear merchants wave teabags in that guy’s face…
See what others have said

» Barack Obama: Can we call him a Socialist now?

Wow…. so many morons in just one photo. Look at that DOPE smiling in the center of the photo. He’s the type of guy that would pay the cannibals to eat him last.
All 6 of them . wow!!
My goodness, I wonder how long it took these little darlings to come up with this new smear? Sorry, little darlings, the American public is not buying what you are doing.
L
Um, don’t they know which party is the party of the Klan?
Tools.
Wonder how much they had to pay those “crackers” for holding up those signs. Was it a back room deal?
Here is one dude who did not make it to the anti-Tea Party protest.
He was singing, “come on, baby, light my fire” while thinking the extra zing of the alcohol would make for a nice buzz before joining his comrades in the crowd photographed above. A pity, as he had his sign all ready…
Remember Greensboro 1979
We left the Denver rally at about 12noon, these loons were just showing up. I would say there was up to 2 thousand at the TP rally. There were some anarchist across the street, but tpiers got in front of them to block them from view. One had a nasty sign, saying something about troops raping etc. Disgusting…
They know the Progressive agenda is out in the open and is falling apart throughout America. It has to hurt them, I hope they don’t get violent as November draws closer.
Desperation in any form is ugly.
The leftist smear merchants never had shame nor humility to begin with.
Just a question: what are the odds that the smearers in the photo are union thugs?
Geez, my wife been talking to you about me?
I think it’s a guy thing.
Nothing else seems to work, so let’s just make up new, bad names for them! Yeah, that’ll work! /sarc
They are running on empty……. SWEET!
Fly – I’m liking it too! I don’t think this movement shows any evidence of weakening. It’s getting stronger and stronger and I don’t see any healing the division on the horizon either.
Brings up an idea for posters for the next tea party: Blown-up pictures of Robert Byrd labelled “Tea Klanner”.
Comment hidden due to low rating.
How original! Ooooh what are they gonna call us next? Rich, uncompassionate, imperialists? Horrors!
fix that…
Great Texas (displaced in my case) minds think alike! I was going to say almost the same thing – Then I saw your post. Sweet.

Yeah, one party has a senior Senator who has held the titles Kleagle (recruiter) and Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan.
And these “Tea Klanner” sign holders shown above don’t seem to realize that he is from THEIR party, not ours.
Idiots. Absolute Idiots.
Go ahead and try to call these people “Tea Klanners” :
Obviously our donk friends don’t know history. They think it was Abe Lincoln that formed the KKK, when in fact most real historians put the KKK, correctly as the Democrats “terror wing”.
Can they even read? Maybe that’s the problem.
We had two of these jerks at our tea party rally today. Duly pointed out — Attendance was nearly double last years rally.
Either that or part of the 50% of Americans who pay no federal income tax.
Naw, I think they’re gay.
At some point, someone will have to beat some sense into these morons. I am opposed to violence and I do not adhere to the notion of might makes right. However, I do not see how such behavior can continue indefinitely. Strangely, these morons are trying to provoke such a confrontation. I am sure that some of them believe that if they face real violence, that the average American will turn away from average Americans. They will eventually get the violence they wish for.
The real problem is they are probably clueless products of 40+ years of leftist educational indoctrination. So many years of brainwashing have left them incapable of independent thinking, only what’s planted in their mush filled skulls.
Nah, probably useful idiot fronts. The union thugs would just come in to get physical if these smearers don’t get the job done, or retaliate if the smearers really did get beat up, probably by same union thugs in an attempt to put the blame on the real Tea Party protestors.
Why do the dems tend to attract nothing but dorks, mooches, and losers? It seems nobody in that party wants to take responsibility for their poor choices in life. Rather, they want the mean old taxpayers to do it.
Hmm, I wonder if they realize that when they lift the hood they have a better chance of finding Robert Byrd than they do finding a Tea Party-ier.
These crud are putrid pond scum.
Perhaps gay, but certainly fey.
I wonder how many of them are getting their Volvos broken into while they’re holding signs……….
Not an Adam’s apple in the bunch.
heh
Two feminist and they’re gay friend.
oopps “their” not “they’re”
Looks like the yearbook picture of an A/V or Chess club.
As Doug Powers pointed out in another thread, there doesn’t seem to be much racial diversity in that crowd.
I’ve never seen some many try so hard to look so stupid. It works! Keep it up, I love the humor!
Excellent.
This is liken to a sheep holding up butcher shop signs for a mutton sale. Don’t these idiots understand that the fate of our country includes them??
they all appear to be named ‘just Pat’
Nuts calling me names…
…yawn…
(Swats mosquito)
If that is what they what to call me – FINE! I am smeared as -phobic for everything I believe in. What is an appropriate “phobia” for them? Any smart, Scrabble types out there with a suggestion?
Why is it you can never tell the men from the women in these lib group photos?
The sign in the middle is incorrect. It should read: “You voted, America Lost!”
Secondly, usually the first person to yell racist is the racist.
Good grief, it is ridicule, for crying out loud.
It is used all the time, and yes, even here on this blog. Who has ever referred to Pres Obama as Obeyme, Obamamessiah, Nobama, Obamanation, Obambi, etc.?
I don’t like it when either side does it, but both sides use ridicule, and yes, it is an Alinsky tactic.
http://phobialist.com/
Agateophobia- Fear of insanity.
Blennophobia- Fear of slime.
Ouranophobia or Uranophobia- Fear of heaven.
The sign that dope is holding looks like it was scribbled by a child. Oh, wait…
zig zag you give yourself way too much credit.
Well, we are for the rebirth of the nation, correct?
Why I do believe they are all WHITE! How interesting that ALL WHITE coffee people are all for keeping the Black Community down and out and in a perpetual lower class to benefit their Democrat overlords.
TXVet2 – perfect idea about the real Klanner – Byrd. Only the left can get away with having a former Klansman in their party.
I love ending my (4 day) week with a laugh, and that made me LOL, thanks for that Spacey!
Lifelong Democrat Breckinridge Long, almost 100 years ago:
They are desperate to Alinsky the Tea Party movement. The leftists are trying to destroy their only real opposition.
BOTH parties are scared to death of citizens intent on electing honest representatives. We might want them to enforce laws and borders and stuff……
Oh yeah, Red Pill, that Constitution thingy, too.
How about they uphold that?????
Not one of the 545 elected and appointed officials sworn to protect and defend the Constitution, so help them God, did so. No one has any certainty of Barack Obama’s eligibilty. No one could without more than an image on the internet. And yet he was sworn in.
We are certain of his ineligibility.
His father was not a U.S. citizen. He admits that he was born a British subject. That means he is not a natural born citizen, even if he was born a citizen in Hawaii.
Even an authentic hospital birth certificate from Hawaii could not make Obama a natural born citizen, unless his father wasn’t who he said it was. If born to two U.S. citizen parents on U.S. soil, then Obama would be a natural born citizen, and would be eligible to serve as President, but he would also be guilty of fraud and could be impeached.
Perfect!
Don’t you love being lectured on race by the party with a Grand Kleagle who’s 3rd in line to the presidency?
Sure you can! The men are the clean shaven ones!
I would come up with a variation that doesn’t use the word “Tea”. How about that picture of Robert Byrd labelled “D-Klanner”?
“Tea Klanner”, But it’s really not that good. And so, it won’t last.
I think there’s also a Chris and Terry in there also.
Sure are a lot of welfare recipients in this country.
And they travel too! On your dime!
Ack! That’ll leave a bad taste in your mouth
Credit? Not looking for credit. Your comment is a distraction and tangent.
You are welcome to either agree, or disagree, that both sides use the Alinsky tactic of ridicule.
You are welcome to to say that you use ridicule, or don’t, Whether you like it, or not.
But credit? Credit has nothing to do with my initial post.
Actually, Misscheryl is welcome to make whatever comment she wants.
No, it’s not ridicule. It’s a charged accusation.
The sign that says, in English and Spanish, “We’re not criminals, we’re workers,” is classic. They meant to say they are criminal workers, or workers of crime.
Ha HA! zyzzyg’s a troll!
That’s ridicule.
Wouldn’t you love to be their bosses when they come into work tomorrow and you saw that photo of them? My favorite sign for them at that point would be the EXIT sign.
Which one of the Coffee Party member’s didn’t show up?
The Coffee Party people need decaf.
They’re trying to appeal to 30% of the voting minorities in the country and alienating the other 70%. Now that’s what I call smart! I say, let them continue with their good work.
Idiots!
Alinsky invented ridicule? Wow, the man was a genius.
zig zag -my ridicule of you went right over your head. Proving my point…
D’Oh!
Never have so many mistaken so much about so many others. They keep screaming “racism” as if they will make it stick by endless repetition. It’s their loss.

It’s incredible ZigZag, that you think you have the power or ability (whatever you want to call it) to frame or dictate to others how they will view situations based on YOUR personal experience and YOUR outlook. This is typical of your arrogant postings as though you see the world the only right and correct way one can and if others don’t fall in line with your assessment, they have a problem, certainly it’s not you. Not to get too personally here, but if you are having relationship issues and problems maintaining long term relationships, you might wanna look there first for the reason. Just sayin’
I forgot to add that this group, in the pic didn’t arrive to the tea party until about 1145am(it started at 10a). We were leaving at the time the were arriving, the were across the street from the capital. Funny thing is, and I should have gotten a pic, they had hispanics carrying the signs to the spot they inhabited for them.. A couple of hispanics had about 10 signs apiece..
Here’s a picture of unbridled racism and hate seen in Dayton expressed toward Keynote speaker Alan Keyes.
I’m pretty sure this exhibition of racism is pretty typical of the TEA Party, if I could re-use that broad brush.
We are not TEA Baggers. Nor are we Tea Klanners. We are in fact TEACHERS, Taxed Enough Already Citizens Helping Educate Representatives & Senators.
Now that ought cause bladder spasms in one prime group of the democrats base.
NJAviator:
LMAO!
There were a couple of young guys with a sign I couldn’t see to read at the Denver Capitol yelling during someone’s speech about “teabagging bigots” Four big guys wearing vet hats surrounded them, never touched them, but said loudly “you don’t belong here” and, within a matter of minutes, escorted them off to the side. Many applauded.
But, MissCheryl, that’s the Libtard Way! Soon to be known more commonly as the Updated Chicago Way.
OK ‘Tea Klanners’ is funny though
Go back and research, I told you guys the very first day they ever called the Tea Partiers ‘Tea Baggers’, (days before it ever went mainstream) to laugh at it too
Theta Kappa biatches… (then you flash some TK gang signs)
OK, but pretty weak.
What is your definition of ‘troll’? Where is the element of truth?
And, ridicule is an Alinsky tactic. Yes, or no?
Yes, you are using the tactics of Alinsky, but you disagree with his agenda. Yes, or no?
Yeah, questions. I know it is like pulling teeth to get you to answer them, but you will eventually do so because you have in the past.
Alinsky tactics – good or bad? effective or not? do both sides use them?
OK, but pretty weak.

Nope. Never said Alinsky invented ridicule, and I do not know if the man was a genius.
Do you use ridicule, knowing that it is an Alinsky tactic?
Nope.
How do you know what I think? I have asked questions. Your assertions and assignment of motives suggests you are some kind of mind reader. Are you a mind reader?
As far as outlokk goes, we all have our opinions. You make unsubstantiated assertions based on your outlook (mind reading), and I ask questions based on mine.
I ask questions because I am in search of answers. You don’t have to answer them. That is obvious.
Nope.
I have never advanced any notion that I am right, or that others should fall in line with my assessments. I ask questions. Why are you so afraid of questions?
We all have problems. Cut and paste where I have said someone has a problem. Cut and paste where I have ever said the problem is not me.
LOL. Get as personal as you want.
As you have, I reserve the option to not answer questions. The difference however, is that I will be more direct and say that I will not answer that question. Heck, I will even give you a reason why I won’t answer the question. Are you willing to do the same?
My initial post addressed Alinsky tactics, and that both sides use them. And, you take this tangent. So be it.
When you are ready to either agree, or not, that ridicule is used by both sides I am prepared to read your answer. If you want to take a tangent to addres personal issues, I await your direct questions.
Maybe this will will make it easier for you to answer the questions about Alinsky tactics. Using Alinsky tactics does not mean you agree with his agenda.
Again, the question is, do both sides use Alinsky tactics of ridicule?
One last thought from a contributor to this blog -
Let the discussion flourish, and challenge your opponent’s arguments with your arguments. Attacking the person is weak, and banning ideas is cowardly.

Answer the questions, or not. Absent your sincere argument I accept that you do not wish the discussion to flourish.
(D)emocrats, the party that fought a Civil war to preserve slavery, founded the KKK. Twice.

Go pound sand. You are emotionally stunted. But hey, carry on…
Me thinks I hit a nerve with ZigZag. You can come here and dictate and propose and represent and blah, blah, blah. Honey, you are hardly the voice of reason or authority, no matter how hard you try and present that persona to the world. Personally I don’t come to this blog to get the anwers to lifes questions. I hardly argue with anyone in my life, I’m certainly not going to do it here – on any deep level anyway. I enjoy many people who post here but I refuse to let this or any other blog take more of me than it should. Be that as it may, I’m a people watcher. Zig Zag – You are full of fear and it shows but you don’t even know it. Sorry, I don’t read minds, but I do read between the lines and I’ve lived a couple of years to see things over and over and over again in people in general.
But I didn’t ask a question.
Yet again you avoid the issue and make personal attacks. Since when has asking questions been considered emotionally stunted?
You continue to make unsubstantiated assertions. Why? Are you projecting?
And yes, I will continue to carry on.
Do both sides use Alinsky tactics, including ridicule?
Nope.
You have merely demonstrated that you would rather offer personal attacks vice addressing the issue. So be it.
Nope.
I have dictated nothing. (Cut and Paste where I have. Prove it.)
I have asked a question. I have asked a question that you have meticulously avoided answering. Do both sides use ridicule, an Alinsky tactic? Why are you afraid of questions? Why do you launch personal attacks vice simply saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’?
I have never said that I am the voice of reason. (Cut and paste where I have. Prove it.) Seriously, it would be more than helpful should you stop making unsubstantiated assertions and not admitting evidence based on facts.
Your reasons for coming to this blog are your own, as are mine. Life’s questions are not what I am asking. I am asking about Alinsky tactics, and you are to afraid to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Why?
OK, don’t argue. Answer the question, or don’t. But, personal attacks are less than helpful. Did the contributor, La Shawn Barber, to this blog have any impact on your thoughts?
OK. Yet, you continue to attack me and not address the issue.
It is good that you are a people watcher. Unfortunately, you are not a question answerer.
Nope.
No fear on my part (cut and paste proof of my alleged fear), though obviously you have a fear of answering questions, because thus far you haven’t. Ask me a question and I will address it. Why won’t you? Why do you attack?
If you don’t read minds then stop making assertions. Ask questions. Reading between between the lines requires jumping to conclusions based on assumptions of things not said. Far more helpful would be to simply address the issue, or question, at hand.
Though you mentioned my personal relationships, you know nothing about them. What you do know is that I asked a question, do both sides use Alinsky tactics of ridicule?
What I know about you is that you do not answer questions.
One last time. Do both sides use the Alinsky tactic of ridicule? What is between the lines in that question?
Exactly, and maybe you should ask questions, instead of making unsubstantiated assertions, assigning motives to others, and speculating.
Maybe you should just answer questions.
