“Tea Klanner:” The Left’s shameless new smear

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 15, 2010 03:50 PM

Tired of the old, sexual vulgarity “Tea Bagger” popularized by the likes of CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Matt Taibbi, the Left has concocted a new epithet for the Tea Party movement:

The “Tea Klanners” or “Tea Klan.”

The meme has been spreading on Twitter and left-wing blogs. Now, it has surfaced among Alinsky’s avenging angels at the Denver Tea Party (via Peoples Press Collective):

The captions read: “New shape, same hate” and “Tea Klanners.”

No, they have no shame. And they have no clue. Even as they scream ever louder about the bigotry of the Tea Party activists, the wide movement of anti-bailout, anti-cramdown activists continues to attract a truly diverse mass of people. Take, for example, one of the attendees spotlighted in Examiner editor J.P. Freire’s post on some rather, er, eclectic D.C. Tea Party protesters. Just go read it through until the end.

I’d like to see the “Tea Klanner” smear merchants wave teabags in that guy’s face…

And these “Tea Klanner” sign holders shown above don’t seem to realize that he is from THEIR party, not ours.

We are certain of his ineligibility.

His father was not a U.S. citizen. He admits that he was born a British subject. That means he is not a natural born citizen, even if he was born a citizen in Hawaii.

Even an authentic hospital birth certificate from Hawaii could not make Obama a natural born citizen, unless his father wasn’t who he said it was. If born to two U.S. citizen parents on U.S. soil, then Obama would be a natural born citizen, and would be eligible to serve as President, but he would also be guilty of fraud and could be impeached.

This is typical of your arrogant postings as though you see the world the only right and correct way one can and if others don’t fall in line with your assessment, they have a problem, certainly it’s not you. There were a couple of young guys with a sign I couldn’t see to read at the Denver Capitol yelling during someone’s speech about “teabagging bigots” Four big guys wearing vet hats surrounded them, never touched them, but said loudly “you don’t belong here” and, within a matter of minutes, escorted them off to the side. Many applauded.

This is typical of your arrogant postings as though you see the world the only right and correct way one can and if others don’t fall in line with your assessment, they have a problem, certainly it’s not you.

But, MissCheryl, that’s the Libtard Way! Soon to be known more commonly as the Updated Chicago Way.

    That’s ridicule.

    OK, but pretty weak.

What is your definition of ‘troll’? Where is the element of truth?

And, ridicule is an Alinsky tactic. Yes, or no?

Yes, you are using the tactics of Alinsky, but you disagree with his agenda. Yes, or no?

Yeah, questions. I know it is like pulling teeth to get you to answer them, but you will eventually do so because you have in the past.

Alinsky tactics – good or bad? effective or not? do both sides use them?

Nope. Never said Alinsky invented ridicule, and I do not know if the man was a genius.

Do you use ridicule, knowing that it is an Alinsky tactic?

    Nope.

How do you know what I think? I have asked questions. Your assertions and assignment of motives suggests you are some kind of mind reader. Are you a mind reader?

As far as outlokk goes, we all have our opinions. You make unsubstantiated assertions based on your outlook (mind reading), and I ask questions based on mine.

I ask questions because I am in search of answers. You don’t have to answer them. That is obvious.

This is typical of your arrogant postings as though you see the world the only right and correct way one can and if others don’t fall in line with your assessment, they have a problem, certainly it’s not you.

    Nope.

I have never advanced any notion that I am right, or that others should fall in line with my assessments. I ask questions. Why are you so afraid of questions?

We all have problems. Cut and paste where I have said someone has a problem. Cut and paste where I have ever said the problem is not me.

Not to get too personally here, but if you are having relationship issues and problems maintaining long term relationships, you might wanna look there first for the reason. Just sayin’

LOL. Get as personal as you want.

As you have, I reserve the option to not answer questions. The difference however, is that I will be more direct and say that I will not answer that question. Heck, I will even give you a reason why I won’t answer the question. Are you willing to do the same?

My initial post addressed Alinsky tactics, and that both sides use them. And, you take this tangent. So be it.

When you are ready to either agree, or not, that ridicule is used by both sides I am prepared to read your answer. If you want to take a tangent to addres personal issues, I await your direct questions.

Maybe this will will make it easier for you to answer the questions about Alinsky tactics. Using Alinsky tactics does not mean you agree with his agenda.

Again, the question is, do both sides use Alinsky tactics of ridicule?

One last thought from a contributor to this blog -

Let the discussion flourish, and challenge your opponent’s arguments with your arguments. Attacking the person is weak, and banning ideas is cowardly.

Answer the questions, or not. Absent your sincere argument I accept that you do not wish the discussion to flourish.

Yet again you avoid the issue and make personal attacks. Since when has asking questions been considered emotionally stunted?

You continue to make unsubstantiated assertions. Why? Are you projecting?

And yes, I will continue to carry on.

Do both sides use Alinsky tactics, including ridicule?

Me thinks I hit a nerve with ZigZag.

    Nope.

You have merely demonstrated that you would rather offer personal attacks vice addressing the issue. So be it.

You can come here and dictate and propose and represent and blah, blah, blah.

    Nope.

I have dictated nothing. (Cut and Paste where I have. Prove it.)

I have asked a question. I have asked a question that you have meticulously avoided answering. Do both sides use ridicule, an Alinsky tactic? Why are you afraid of questions? Why do you launch personal attacks vice simply saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’?

Honey, you are hardly the voice of reason or authority, no matter how hard you try and present that persona to the world.

I have never said that I am the voice of reason. (Cut and paste where I have. Prove it.) Seriously, it would be more than helpful should you stop making unsubstantiated assertions and not admitting evidence based on facts.

Personally I don’t come to this blog to get the anwers to lifes questions.

Your reasons for coming to this blog are your own, as are mine. Life’s questions are not what I am asking. I am asking about Alinsky tactics, and you are to afraid to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Why?

I hardly argue with anyone in my life, I’m certainly not going to do it here – on any deep level anyway.

OK, don’t argue. Answer the question, or don’t. But, personal attacks are less than helpful. Did the contributor, La Shawn Barber, to this blog have any impact on your thoughts?

I enjoy many people who post here but I refuse to let this or any other blog take more of me than it should. Be that as it may, I’m a people watcher.

OK. Yet, you continue to attack me and not address the issue.

It is good that you are a people watcher. Unfortunately, you are not a question answerer.

Zig Zag – You are full of fear and it shows but you don’t even know it.

    Nope.

No fear on my part (cut and paste proof of my alleged fear), though obviously you have a fear of answering questions, because thus far you haven’t. Ask me a question and I will address it. Why won’t you? Why do you attack?

Sorry, I don’t read minds, but I do read between the lines and I’ve lived a couple of years to see things over and over and over again in people in general.

If you don’t read minds then stop making assertions. Ask questions. Reading between between the lines requires jumping to conclusions based on assumptions of things not said. Far more helpful would be to simply address the issue, or question, at hand.

Though you mentioned my personal relationships, you know nothing about them. What you do know is that I asked a question, do both sides use Alinsky tactics of ridicule?

What I know about you is that you do not answer questions.

One last time. Do both sides use the Alinsky tactic of ridicule? What is between the lines in that question?
