Left-wing photoshop blunder of the day

Let’s start Monday morning off with a hearty chuckle.

Andrew Romanoff is the “progressive” candidate in Colorado’s Senate race. He’s challenging establishment Democrat Michael Bennet, who’s running to keep the seat he was appointed to after Ken Salazar left to become the Obama Interior Secretary.

The Denver Post caught Romanoff’s campaign in a bit of politically correct Photoshopping, which sent Democrat minority supporters of Bennet into a manufactured tizzy. Romanoff was photographed at a rally attended by several minority supporters; someone from the campaign decided to “fix” the photos by manipulating the images and placing his minority supporters closer to him.

Now, he’s apologized and removed the picture:

Colorado U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff has apologized for a photo that had upset a minority group. He said it was never meant to deceive anyone and was a montage. Leaders of a Latino group disagreed.

The group said the photo from a September rally was altered to more prominently feature minorities. Some say the incident was an attempt to manipulate voters regarding Romanoff’s support from minorities.

Theresa Solano was one of two dozen people who signed a letter expressing anger over the altered photo.

“To cut and paste or digitally enhance to make it look as though there are more of one demographic group than another just doesn’t seem like the right thing to do,” Solano said.

Romanoff said the picture was in no way meant to imply bolstered diversity.

Snort. Look at the before-and-after shots here and judge for yourselves.

What inquiring minds really want to know is more about Romanoff’s reported offer from the White House for a sweetheart job in exchange for dropping out of the race against Obama-favored Bennet.

Photoshop that for us, please.
