I’m still on the road and our wonderful guest-bloggers will be dropping in again today and tomorrow. The hate mail is on an increase again thanks to my outspoken defense of Arizona’s immigration enforcement measure. Too many to choose from, but here’s a typical response:

I have never met you or heard from you until today.
I didnt’ need to hear you for too long to know the kind of person you are or what are your personally.
I just wondering how or where did you learned to speak like the way you do.
Because you are are not white, and that is obvious, I would like to invite you to take a walk around or drive in Arizona and see and feel in your own skin the racism that exist [sic] in that state. I really would like you to experience first hand the racial prejudice. I would like you to feel how does it feel to be discrimated [sic] for the simple reason of the color of your skin.
Take a walk in Arizona. By yourself. Because you are not white no matter how hard you try to be white, you will never be white . no matter how hard you try to speak like a white person. you will never will be one and your father and your mother and sisters and brothers will never be white no matter how hard you try.
You tell me: Who are the real racists?

I’m white and I don’t see anything wrong with it. I guess to some people, it should be a crime to be white.
They don’t ever recognize that ‘reasonable suspicion’ could be their location. Everyone knows where day laborers are to get work. Most of the people there are illegal aliens. They might not be white, but the location would be more of a reasonable suspicion that they are illegal than the color of their skin.
America bows to NOBODY on equality. America has many of the most successful people of various different colors. Imagine a non-Chinese leader in China. How about a non-black leader in South Africa (oh yeah, I forgot how terrible that was ‘apartheid’).
We are the only country in the world where no matter your circumstances or your background, you can succeed if you work hard. America should be celebrated for the sheer numbers of different success stories. Instead, we have to deal with the constant drumbeat of Americans talking about how bad we are.
AMERICA IS AWESOME! AMERICA ROCKS! Everyone wants to be American (unless Obama changes that).
The thing I don’t understand is why so many Americans spend so much time talking about America as a bad place. This is the greatest country on the planet in the history of the planet. That’s a good thing.

My extremely apolitical wife has taken an interest in all the disinformation and lies being spread about our new law, so when you came on Hannity last night, she just about wrenched my arm out of the socket to get control of the remote saying “Your girlfriend’s on.”
I noticed right away that you apparently didn’t have time to get to makeup or were feeling less well than normal. Please take good care of yourself. With your hectic schedule we can’t have you getting sick!
Apparently the writer thinks that a non-white won’t have gotten the full experience of racism until they’re walking with the writer. You’re not really non-white your whole life until you’ve been racisted with that person.

Ruben, is just reading from the talking points narrative. Ironically, at this point calling 70% (plus Michelle) of the population racists does nothing but diminish his argument. I suspect that he’s either a DNC operative or an illegal alien that thinks he has a right to be in America. I know many Hispanic citizens. None speak like Ruben and I’ve never heard one complain about racism.

The biggest point Michelle makes, by merely being Michellle, is that neither race, nor culture, nor upbringing should have any net effect on a person’s potential to be a contributing member of society. The converse side of that equation is this; there are plenty of white folk from good families, provided with every opportunity imaginable, who have managed to turn themselves into complete failures.
What Ruben fails to see is that “society” as a whole has rules to follow. One of those rules is that you must communicate well. “Well” does not mean “White”. This is beyond Ruben’s apparently-limited grasp.
I lived and worked in Phoenix for several years. One of the best employees I hired and trained was a young hispanic male from the neighborhood south of Camelback Road. Art had enlisted in the Air Force Reserve but had not been called up to any sort of duty and was looking for work after high school. His writing was immaculate; much neater than my own. he was well-spoken, with a slight hispanic inflection, and he’d always communicate with myself or with customers in complete sentences. I ultimately made him an “assistant department supervisor” as his work ethic was unimpeachable. Never once regretted employing him but did regret losing him to the Air Force eventually.
Art never tried to “be white”. I never saw him as “hispanic” either. He always allowed his abilities to shine, and that made him a success. I’m sure, whereever he is now, he’s doing well.
Polite society has rules for advancement and prosperity, whether that society is here, in India, China, Japan, or Siberia. The rules are not “white-based” but rather determined by the society which adopts them. History tells us that societiies which operate without rules seldom last long.
Good Lord. Where do they find these tools like Francisco and their circular logic? Liberalism is a mental illness.

My wife is not white (Chinese, Filipino). We lived in Phoenix for 12 years, and she never had trouble.
Want to experience racism? Walk down Ashland Avenue in Chicago for about 5 minutes.
Also we are finding that 6-10 women who come through Mexico from the South are raped. Mexico IS THE problem.

While watching Francisco Hernandez dance all around Michelle’s questions for him the other day, he is a very poor substitute for another. The mans name escapes me at the moment. He used to be on FOX any time there was a illegal discussion. Big phony smile, oily charecter, used to work for the former Mexican el Presidente, and could could hardly speak a sentence without saying “My friend” or “My good friend”. I am sure that Michelle had to have gone a round or two with him in the past.
On the illegal front, or rather, way behind the lines here in extreme norther AZ, they are rarely a problem. To be honest, nearly all the arrests of illegals here are on the highway as they pass though on the way to elsewhere. I expect to see more of those arrests, a lot more, if the law is upheld as many will likely be heading to NV. Now if only the state would pass a law that would cause all of the local methheads to leave here. They are as big or a bigger problem. They don’t call this place the Meth & Mullet capital of the SW for nothing. Come to think of it, since much of the meth comes from Mexico, the two problems are really closely related.
We need to get Michelle and Juan Hernandez together for a debate. It could be Pay Per View.

This Ruben guy is upset that Michelle is “speaking like a white person”. Is he also angry at Barach Obama for speaking “like a white person”? Obama is pure Harvard law with the way he constantly parses his words and he even has that Harvard sigh of condescension that Al Gore showed in the first debate with Bush in 2000. Obama is hilarious when he tries to speak like an inner city African-American. He was at the Hilton in NY last year and he made reference to “flowin’ like Lil Wayneor ballin’ like LeBron”. It was painful to watch Obama try to sound “authentic”. It was obvious that Obama never listened to Lil Wayne and didn’t have the slightest interest in hip hop. The only thing funnier that I ever heard was Hillary Clinton in Alabama trying to sound like a cross between Gomer Pyle and Moms Mabley. (If you don’t get my references, you are just not retro enough).
Being a Scottish-American, I was going to demand reparations from England. I think the Scots and Irish deserve these from the sufferings of their ancestors. But then I realized it would have to wait until England gets its reparations from France for 1066. But I guess England would have to wait until France gets “its fair share” from the Italians for the Roman occupation. Oh, well…. Sweden and Norway should pay all of Europe for the Viking atrocites and let it end there.
My wife is as brown as they come and we’ve lived in Arizona now for 21 years. She’s never had to “feel in your own skin the racism that exists” here. She’s also as ardent as one can be against illegal immigration as are most Latinos I know here.
After spending all day turning my brain to mush in an EMT update and recertification class, I went to cover the protest and Shakira’s appearance at the capitol for gayconservative (dot) org. I didn’t make my political beliefs known, I was there in a non-marked navy blue uniform and had my camera and a notebook and just walked around and got quotes from people. A couple were nice enough.
I did, however, get some of the dirtiest, foulest glares I have ever gotten in my life and caught several people basically saying “eff the police” in Spanish. While Shakira was there, I saw more one-fingered salutes than at a Ted Nugent concert.
The only racism I see is against white people. There were only two pro-bill protesters there and both of them were being harassed.
This entire “You are not white” and “Why are you trying to be “White” nonsense is exhausting!
We are a mixed race family. My wife is a race that is constantly discriminated against in the USA in college where they are frequently discriminated against or considered for discrimination such as regarding student acceptance-admission, as wel as in jokes, in affirmitive action goodies, preferred group status, etc.
Can you gues which “race” of people she is a part of?
I am a mongrel, with several different ancestral influences including so-called “minority” ancesty.
Our flesh and blood children are now even more racially “diverse” than many self appointed race mongering liberal progressive leftist racists.
Our next door neighbors to our north are Hispanic. Their daughter stops at our home almost every day after school until her mom or dad return home from work. Our first daughter, of a similar age, and the neighbor’s doaughter are close friends. The other kids who are close friends with our kids, including our first daughter, ar black, Indian (Asian), Chinese, Vietnamese, a few Caucasians, etc.
Of course our children are not indoctrinated in the sick, perverted race crap of the left. They just see people as people, no bean counting related to race. Yes, we have been homeschooling them.
It takes a sick group of people to be so obsessed with race, but that is what we get with Democrats-Leftists-Fifth Columnists-Progressives-Liberals in the USA, as well as racist blacks and Hispanics who have race and bigotry on the brain, and who project that onto people who are not like them.
From this sissys letter I guess my wife and I are the racists: we have five children and not one of them is white. We got some ‘plaining to do.

Michelle is “not white” just like 30%+ of Arizona’s population. Honestly in liberal MA I marvel at the stupidity of our intellectual population who believe that everywhere in America is just like Cambridge: 94% White, with all the minorities playing into white guilt like the good monolithic-minded tenured professors they are.
They simply cannot conceive of the fact that if Arizona State Police pulled over every “hispanic-looking” person they’d be interrogating 3 out of every 10 people on the street, and almost every single “hispanic-looking” person would be a law-abiding citizen!
But since they also believe, like Obama does, that the police are a force of malevolence, troglodism, and reprobation (unless their property or person needs protecting, of course) they probably think that happens despite the massive blow to PR and gigantic waste of time that policy would entail.
It has become more and more obvious that the term ‘white’ has an ever-changing definition. It is used loosely and is never anthropologically accurate in the media or by politicians. It is meant to include ‘certain people’ and eliminate those that want special favors.
The US has and ever will be a complete melting pot of cultures, races and nationalities. It would be difficult to determine or break down white/black/brown or even green for that matter and that is to our benefit. I can’t think of another country that can say that.
I was amazed that the press, even Fox, referred to Rubio as ‘nonwhite’ or Cuban!!!! The term Latino is not a race definition nor a reference to skin color….. many from Mexico have relatives that came from Spain. We have friends there whose ancestors originally came from England
