News out of Houston about a suspicious piece of luggage at Bush airport in Houston.

From the Houston Chronicle:

Houston fire department crews and a hazardous materials team are investigating reports of a suspicious piece of luggage at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Authorities received a small aircraft emergency call around 2:15 p.m., after a bag was found near terminal D of the airport.

“We’re hearing that something was thrown from a plane and there was some sort of explosion,” said HFD Asst. Fire Chief Jack Williams.

The plane is believed to have landed at the airport and the bag is believed to be on the tarmac, according to Williams.

Nothing on cable news right now, though FoxNews.com online is streaming coverage from the airport here.

Update: NBC News reporting that it may have been an aerosol can that burst.
