There’s a bit of buzz on Twitter, Reuters, and Fox News right now about an Emirates Airlines plane that has been pulled over on a JFK airport runway in NYC. Reportedly, the plane has a passenger on board who was on the hapless no-fly list (the subject of my newspaper column tomorrow – stay tuned).

Here’s a brief story on the ongoing incident via the local Fox affiliate in NYC:

A passenger was reportedly pulled off of an Emirates Airlines aircraft at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens on Thursday morning.

The passenger was reportedly discovered to be on the no-fly list, according to Breaking News Network.

SkyFoxHD saw an Emirates Airlines plane plane at the gate at 12:30 p.m. with at least two security vehicles nearby.

Update: Officials saying it was a false alarm. Passenger’s name was similar to a no-fly listee.

Better safe than sorry…
