Johnny-come-lately McCain: The sickly smell of desperation

John McCain is everywhere now preaching the gospel of secure borders. He’s inescapable. And shameless. And desperate.
Yesterday, readers forwarded his latest spam e-mail:
Where do you stand on border security?
My Friend,
One of the fundamental responsibilities of our government is to secure our borders so that our citizens, no matter where they live in our country, can be safe and secure.
Unfortunately, the Obama Administration and Democrats in Congress have not lived up to the federal government’s constitutional responsibility to secure our borders. So my Arizona colleague, Senator Jon Kyl and I introduced a 10-Point Border Security Plan to secure our border with Mexico against illegal immigration, human smuggling, drug trafficking and the brutal violence associated with the drug cartels.
I’d like to know what you think about our nation’s border security and that is why I have put together the 2010 Border Security Survey. I ask that you take a few moments to fill out this survey by following this link.
I believe we must take action because the fact is clear that our border is not secure and nearly half of all illegal immigrants enter through the Arizona/Mexico corridor. As I told Sean Hannity on his show, our southern border is broken in Arizona and action is needed. Our federal government has not devoted the resources necessary to secure the border and the result has been escalating violence and increased numbers of illegal aliens entering our country.
The President says he wants to address the issue, but so far he has not taken action. He has not devoted the resources necessary to secure our border, so we are calling for real action and resources as outlined in our 10-Point Plan.
As a long-time supporter, I ask that you share your opinion about this crucial security issue through our 2010 Border Security Survey. Your urgent response will enable me to gather the information necessary to show support for secure borders is widespread across America.
Please take the 2010 Border Security Survey today.
Border security is key to keeping our homeland safe. We have seen the violence from drug cartels and drug smugglers skyrocket. It is only a matter of time before even more violence pours over our border into the United States. I believe the key to securing our borders is providing the necessary federal resources to do so effectively and efficiently.
And this is exactly what the 10-Point Plan will do. Please take the time to learn more about the plan and take our short, 9-question survey by following this link. Your time and opinions are truly appreciated. Thank you.
Sincerely,
John McCain
P.S. As a result of the Obama Administration and Congressional Democrats’ failure to take action to secure the US/Mexico border, Senator Jon Kyl and I have introduced a 10-Point Border Security Plan. I want to know what you think about border security, so I have put together the 2010 Border Security Survey. I ask that you take a few minutes today to fill it out by following this link. Thank you.
John McCain is not our “friend.”
Reader Dan’s reaction to the spam e-mail:
Dear MM,
I just received an email from John McCain. The subject line reads: “Where do you stand on border security?”
HE’S asking ME where I stand???
Snort.
And reader R’s response:
Michelle:
As a proud naturalized American, words to express my nausea, anger and disgust at Republicans like McCain and Graham who for years have helped the Democrats stymie effective border security and internal enforcement provisions are hard to come by. Legal Immigrants such as my family and I are the ones most profoundly harmed by amnesty provisions and special considerations advocated for illegal aliens by these feckless politicians.
Now McCain finds himself in the primary fight of his life he is desperately tacking Right. The attached email merits a 12+ on the Christ/Specter political opportunism scale. McCain was a weak and ineffectual presidential candidate entirely because he made a career of offending the conservative base of the GOP-in particular his squishiness on illegal immigration. I remember making GOTV calls in the days leading up to the 2008 election and having wobbliness on this and other conservative “non-negotiables” thrown in my face to justify that voter’s absence from the polls as I desperately tried to warn them of what was about to happen with the election of Obama.
I came from Canada, I’ve seen another radical, charismatic Marxist in my life in the form of Pierre Elliot Trudeau – Canada’s communist sympathizing Prime Minister during the 1970′s. In only 10 years or so, he launched Canada inexorably down the path to big government socialism. Obama gave me and others who have seen socialism up close (and fled) the same totalitarian vibe folks like Trudeau gave off – and that scared the bejeebers out of us. Try telling that to Americans who had no concept of the threat or the stakes and who were so tired of being taken for granted by the likes of McCain. RINO’s like him have destroyed the credibility of the GOP and I am not sure given all the Upside Down Elephant posts you keep putting up that that message has sunk in just yet…
I can’t express my utter contempt any better than Allahpundit did here in response to Johnny-come-lately’s shameless new border enforcement ad:
I don’t know what to say, guys. I’m genuinely speechless. Pandering is one thing, shameless careerist pandering is something else, and then there’s John “Goddamned Fence” McCain marching along the border in a badass Navy baseball cap looking like he could choke out a coyote with his bare hands. And you know what? If he thought he’d get a few points’ bounce from it, I bet he’d do it too. How long before he’s spotted on the trail wearing a “Viva Los 1070″ t-shirt?
Yep, now he’s wrapping himself in the very same border fence he was cursing during his presidential campaign in the company of liberal Vanity Fair reporters.
The man who proudly named Soros-funded, open-borders radical Juan Hernandez as his Hispanic Outreach Director is now traipsing around with the Border Patrol promising to fix the fence he cursed and make Americans safe. After trashing immigration enforcement activists as nativists for years, he’s now “one of us:”
I honestly don’t know how anyone who has him on to talk about immigration enforcement can get through an interview with him and keep a straight face.
It’s political Kabuki on steroids.
***
Update: Shadegg laughs at McCain’s border fence ad.
The former House member met with House lawmakers, activist Bay Buchanan, the late Paul Weyrich’s Free Congress Foundation and Americans United for Life. While behind in the polls and fundraising, Hayworth has until late August to stabilize his campaign and beat McCain, who has responded with much sharper conservative rhetoric in recent weeks. One example: His “Complete the danged fence” ad that’s been hit as a sharp turn away from his immigration reform proposals in the past.
Hayworth, who’s proposals in Congress on immigration reform focused on enforcing current laws while McCain’s suggested a path to citizenship for illegals laughed at the new McCain stance. “That thing was just hilarious,” he said, adding that McCain is “contorting politically.” But he liked the theme so much, that his campaign is going to put up a new website that they say will pit old McCain positions on key issues with what he’s now saying on the campaign trail. He said it will be called something like: “TheDangedTruth.com.”

O/T Do we have a return of the Winter Solider Syndrome in Afghanistan?
I really just wish he would get his head of his behind and stop pandering to illegals in Texas. I realize his decision to do that would affect a large percentage of Texas, but enforcing our laws is the right thing to do, not worrying about who’s feelings get hurt in the process.
What the RINO’s fail to understand is that a majority of citzens of hispanic descent want enforcement as much as non-hispanic citizens do.
Their pandering to illegals assumes that amnesty will happen, because their cheap labor donors want it to happen.
Only those who will benefit from amnesty want it, that would be the illegal aliens and their employers and the politicians that those employers have bought off.
I am down in Texas too, there is talk of legalizing gambling to make up an 11 billion shortfall. We aren’t in the black.
http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/politics/Texas-Facing-Shortfall-of-at-Least-11-Billion-93579149.html
I don’t have any love lost for Rick Perry.
PasadenaPhil:
Interesting: Perry pandering to illegals??? Evidence please…
b/c Obama won’t do his job, TX has to protect her own border w/ Mexico:

By your name I assume you’re in (or from) Calif. When you clean up the progressives (Boxer, Pelosi, Newsom, etc.) and RINOS (Arnold) from your local and state levels and purge La Raza from you public schools; THEN you can help TX with our problems, few that they are!
Securing the border and enforcing the law is the only way we get to keep our rule of law, our representative Republic, and our Constitution. We must elect people who WILL secure the border and enforce the laws. If citizenship becomes meaningless, this will no longer be the United States of America. We cannot allow Congress to give away our country. The sacrifices of those generations before us will have been for naught.
There’s a Pasadena, Texas, too!
That RINO Michelle is a regular on Hannity’s show, most every Wednesday.
Chasing the RINOs out of the party is what the primaries are for. I can follow you that far. But what if, heaven forfend, the proffered alternative doesn’t win in the primary?
I don’t think that such people think that far ahead. Captain Ahab didn’t give a damn what became of his ship or his crew, he only cared about taking out his revenge on the Great White Whale.
Those who can only focus on how much they hate RINOs, to the exclusion of any other consideration, are simple Captain Ahab freshened up a bit for the 21st Century: as long as they can stick a harpoon into the object of their intense hatred, it doesn’t matter if someone or something demonstrably much worse benefits.
They want to sell you on the line that they’re “saving” the Republican Party, but in the end it’s their own selfish trophy-hunting that is all they care about.

VERY familiar w/ Pasadena, TX.
Grew up near there.
PasadenPhil does NOT live in TX.
See comment #87.
Hey, McCain. I got a one point plan for you:
Retire!
Go away!
Depart!
Leave!
We don’t need no steenkin 10 points…
For Republicans who say that to not support the Republican candidate is to undermine the Republican cause:
I don’t care about the Republican cause. I care about America.
To condone national suicide in order to prove one’s loyalty to one’s party is in my view the most irresponsible thing a person can do.
is mighty Mc-crossing the aisle-AGAIN-AGAIN!!!!!!?
Geeeeeeeeez
C-CS
You got so many things wrong in your comment that I won’t even show you the courtesy of a response. I would suggest you change your moniker to “RINO mom”.
You might also try to read what other people say before responding. Yeesh.
Hayworth should go after McCain just like Joe Sestak creaming Specter in Pennsylvania primary.
Sestak has cleverly used Specter’s past video clips and sound bytes in defining Specter as an opportunistic politician concerned about only ONE job, his own.
McCain has spoken on record about amnesty.
McCain had said – during Bush’s amnesty shenanigans – that he (McCain) could not find any American to pick Lettuces at $50 an hour!
Slap this self-serving bastard with his own words and pictures. No need for further elaborations on his stand.
Going back to the point at hand: Yes, defeat McLame in the primary.
Si se Puede!Yes we can!Pasadena Phil:
I would NEVER stoop to name-calling another commenter.
I guess that’s just my standard.
When the going gets tough, those w/OUT legitimate arguments stoop to this level.
Thx for the responsible debate.
one can only hope, McCain has sacrificed his character for his political lust. Not trustworthy.
I can see you still haven’t read my comments enough to respond to what I actually said. Forget about your standards regarding name-calling, how about listening standards so you might understanding someone else’s point before attacking it?
BTW, we have a border wall here and it works. You?
I’m not saying that TX is doing everything perfectly. The Juarez border is in chaos. We’ve got some major issues.
However, Calif. is bankrupt due mostly to the entitlements being handed out to illegals. Trying to convince me that your border is secure is laughable! A screen door on a submarine comes to mind.
Phil, your claim to being the only true conservative here (if not on the planet) is getting rather tedious, not to mention condescending. Don’t really see the point in attacking the people in your own ranks, but whatever. Your definition of RINO has gotten absurd. Just sayin’.
Let’s cut to the chase. What is your absolute litmus test to establish one’s status as a true conservative?
Calif. has a secure border???
Let’s compare the size of the Calif./Mex. border to the Tx./Mex. border…
http://www.window.state.tx.us/specialrpt/border/sfatb1.html
Looks like TX has a (slightly) larger area to protect.
You have got to be kidding. Have you ever head of the NAFTA Superhighway(Trans-Texas Corridor) or the North American Union that Perry ushered in by breaking the law awarding contracts to a foreign toll road company Cintra?
He is not only a RINO but a traitor. Like John McCain, his loyalties lie with the Rockefeller CFR/Trilateral Commission elitists that want a NWO (new world order).
Are you that naive?
Once again, another RINO who cannot discuss what is actually said but needs to create straw men to win arguments. As you should have observed in these threads, I am far from being the only one who shares my conservative views. So your statement that I claim to be the only conservative is a cynical lie.
Your RINO arguments arguing that always lead to having to vote for an assistant Democrat because the Democrat is worse is not only tedious but tired and stupid.
You RINOs are continually discounting my arguments because I am from CA, or that I am a purist because I fight for very specific principles, or that I won’t get drawn in to stupid discussions about “who would you vote for if…” or “Glenn Beck said this….” and so on.
I know I my points are hitting home because you RINOs can’t do better than attack me personally with your provincial attitudes and brain dead arguments.
Let’s see how McCain stands on the Senate climate bill, and the other bill requiring the reporting of BMIs of 2-8 year olds to the government, as well as other socialist/marxist bills. If he supports those, you know he’s trying to fool everyone on immigration.
Good argument, California’s border cannot possibly be secure because Texas’ border is longer. Uh… look up the term “non sequitor”.
Also, what is this fixation you have about me and Rick Perry today? Where did I mention Perry in this thread? Oh look! A unicorn!! Jumping over a rainbow!
Perry isn’t perfect, but the alternative is the pro-amnesty, pro-sanctuary city, uber-sleaze Bill White.
Best possible alternative.
Why I voted for Perry over country club conservative Kay Barely in the primary.
Perry really cheesed me off with a possible inside basball type deal with a former staffer/drug company lobbyist for an HPV vaccine (keep slutty girls, or nice girls who make one mistake with slutty boys from possibly getting cervical cancer, what killed Obama’s slutty naked picture posing mother, BTW), but when given a choice between horrible and mediocre, I choose mediocre.
I’ll choose perfect every time, if available, but not even Ronald Reagan was perfect.
I don’t want to read anything about this man, I don’t want to hear from this man…I don’t want to look at this man..I’m done with this man…next.
Either McCain is beoming senile, or he thinks people in Arizona have very short memories, and don’t remember the McCain-Bush-DWI Killer Amnesty Bill.
rightwingmom: since you are factually challenged relying mostly on your provincial bigotry to formulate arguments, maybe this will help you appreciate the difference between CA border security and TX border security.
Once the fence was built, violent crime plummeted in Southern California. But like you say, that can’t be possible because Texas’ border is so much longer. No wonder you defend amnesty candidates as being “conservative”. Reality just doesn’t count for anything with you.
because typically they have…he’s learned how short their memories have been.
I remember when McCain called us Bigots for opposing his Amnesty Bill. I will never forget.
And McCain’s chief economic advisor, Phil Gramm, called us “whiners” in 2008 for pointing out that the economy was in freefall.
ScottyDog:
I live along, what will become TTC69. I’m well aware of the controversy.
Accusing me of being naive does not discount the choices we had in the March primary:
A. Perry 48% (not 100% in favor of him…as I stated in an earlier posting)
B. Hutchinson 27% (DC insider posing as a true Texan)
C. Medina 16% (9/11 Truther…nuff said)
Now the other choice in Nov. is Bill White
(hardcore liberal/socialist who left Houston in shambles.)
What? McCain is still here? I told him to am-scray 10 or 20 posts ago. He just doesn’t seem to get the message. I have had enough of McCain since the 2000 primaries. McCain-Feingold was the icing on the cake for me…
graysonret,
We don’t have to wait for anything to know McAmnesty is lying. Look back to 2006 to McCain/Kennedy or to 2007′s version of his amnesty bill. He said F&*( you to Sen. Cornyn when Cornyn asked a civil question about what that amnesty bill contained. He has said many reprehensible things to and about anyone who opposed his amnesty bills, which he still insists are not amnesty.
This latest ad makes me want to puke.
The size of the border is not relevant to its security. A Fence works just as well on a home as it does on a schoolyard.
He’s only fooling those who want to be fooled. Or who want to be fools.
Perry is the best of a bad choice.
I voted for McCain, knowing full well he was a RINO, again, the best of two not good choices.
This country may well not survive because of the Obama Presidency as a Constitutional Republic, government by the consent of the governed.
McCain was a squish, a Bush-ite compassionate conservative, but he doesn’t hate America, and he isn’t a revolutionary Marxist.
If there is a silver lining, maybe electing an American hating treasonous pig and his revolutionary socialist party into power may be the strong medicine that wakes America up from the Communist threat which most assumed died with the USSR.
But there is no guarantee that strong medicine won’t kill the patient before the cure.
Not an Arizona resident, spared the unfortunate prospect, but if JD doesn’t win the primary, I know McCain, as half a Republican, would still be better than a full Dem’rat.
How many people complaining about McCain have volunteered to work against him if in state? Put up yard signs?
If out of state, how many have donated to JD?
I can’t vote in any state but my own, but I will support, with money, very good candidates, or candidates running against evil opponents.
If one is just complaining about McCain, and not doing something concrete, well, just flapping your typing fingers…
Calif. approx. 150 miles of Mex. border
Texas approx. 1200 miles of Mex. border
You do the math and tell me how to afford a 1200 + mile fence w/OUT federal funding.
It is the fed.’s responsibility to secure our borders NOT the states’.
Even in the dry season, Mexicans coming to Texas have to take their socks, shoes and pants off to enter the state or their damp pants would be a giveaway. Granted, out in the desert (maybe not so much the more populated and humid lower Valley) few people would see them, and the pants would dry quickly, but have you ever been wearing denim and got caught in a real heavy rainstorm? Wet denim feels terrible.
OK, eight times as much border fence to build, but if you put the fence right at the US side of the river, they’d have to cross in either wet pants, or climb the fence with bare legs and no shoes, while also carrying the pants and shoes.
I’m always glass half full.
Gosh, it seems to me that paying a few billion to build a fence anywhere has got to be less expensive than paying for ER visits for 20 million illegals…
Those trips really add up. If states would stop wasting so much money on so many things they would have enough to build a fence…
As usual the DNC/RNC control the elections and give the voters the choice of “Lesser of Two Evils”.
Until you can muster up the courage and start voting for the best candidate we will never take our country back.
IMHO
I voted for Chuck Baldwin in the last presidential election.
John McCain has betrayed the American people on just about every issue and is a member of the CFR. Do some research and you will find that group is basically a communist front organization. That every President since Jimmy Carter except Ronald Reagan has been a member of the CFR or Trilateral Commission. They have nominated a majority of their Cabinet appointees to CFR members.
David Rockefeller, head of the Council on Foreign Relations, has said in his autobiography ‘Memoirs’, “Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global, political and economic structure–one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.
If you would like to learn more about this seditious organization, I urge you to read the articles at The August Review
I voted for Baldwin in 2008 too. I’ll do it again if we get more leftist “Republicans.” I am NOT voting for idiots like McCain. So many of the things he has said and done over the last 10 years are positively unbelievable!
The biggest difference between the Dems and the GOP is when either will deliver socialism to the American people.
We may have a chance to turn this around with actual conservatives in 2010 but that may be our last chance…
Ed:
Don’t forget…Coyotes carry illegals across the Rio Grande to prevent their pants from getting wet.
WarEagle82:
Totally agree. It’s just ridiculous that TX and AZ are forced to front the finances and enact laws because the fed. gov’t. is failing us miserably…including Juan Maverick McShamesty!
Exactly. But the RINO logic is this: “We can’t risk nominating JD Hayworth because he is unelectable and we’d rather have McCain than any Democrat.”
That is the brain-dead circular logic we are constantly presented with by RINOs who use the GOP as some kind of security blanket. We are seeing this year what happens when the conservative candidate beats the RINO, the RINO bolts the party.
If there is going to be a viable Republican party, conservatives have to take it over from the Assistant Democrats. Otherwise, like you, I am again going to vote for a 3rd party candidate. I would have voted for Baldwin in 2008 but he wasn’t on the CA ballot so I voted for Bob “The Builder” Barr.
I read your post and deduced you were all for Rick Perry. I urge you to get involved with other Texans to block the
TTC. I do not live any where near your state and have contributed to groups that oppose Rick Perry and the TTC.
The group I like the best is TURF,Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom, a non-profit organization that has rallied Texans to successfully oppose the Trans Texas Corridor, which is a critical component in the formation of the North American Union.
Rick Perry is a traitor and has violated the Logan Act in his dealings with Cintra and other foreign firms. He is violating the oath of office and our Constitution for a very small amount of money. In short, he is selling us all out.
If Hannity has McCain on either of his shows one more damn time, I’m done with him!!!
I’m of the mind that any and all politicians that are advocating for open borders or are actively fighting those that want to secure the borders are guilty of TREASON and in violation of their oath of office to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America!!! But, I’m a bit hardcore.
I do not think you are hardcore at all, in fact, I agree with you!
I kind of wish there was an “open thread” every day for the sole pupose of posting things that have nothing to do with a particular subject or thread thereby not sidetracking because I’ve got to be the #1 offender. Like I’m doing right now..sorry….just sayin’
ScottyDog:
I WILL check out TURF.
I’m not delusional about Perry.
However, the primaries left me with no other choice.
McCain has been in the Senate long enough to have dealt with fixing immigration. Now he claims to have gotten it after all these years. What took him so long??? At this rate, he doesn’t have enough of a life span left to accomplish anything, even if he wanted to. He and the rest of the slow learners need to go. They have all done enough damage by not enforcing current law.
FU McCain. This is the same guy that said that it is not the job of the military to secure our borders in 1999. Are you freaking kidding me? Come on AZ, help this country out and put this guy out to pasture.
I am so mad right now, I can’t even see straight.
The thing that galls me about this is his insulting our intelligence with this. Those of us who have been paying attention to this man over the years know that this is not his position until he is about to become a lame duck senator after the primary
FIFY, Juan!
I can’t think about McCain without remembering his generous “SINGLE BUSINESS DAY” allowed to do background checks and health checks on 12 to 30 million illegal invaders before granting them permanent residency via Z visas in his 2007 McCain-Kennedy Comprehensive Amnesty Bill.
He basically said, “Screw you, conservatives and like-minded American citizens – I’m going to let ANYONE into our country.”
Michelle, McCain is a career politician and simply doing what it takes to keep his paycheck and ego pumped up. Career politicians simply point in the direction that the wind is blowing. If the constituency blows left, he points left; if it blows right, he swings right. Why is that so difficult for people to understand? We’ve had weather vane politicians for eons, but it’s as if people are discovering how unprincipled they are for the first time. Wake up and smell the coffee people!
Possibly the dumbest comment of the day.
Dear McCain-
You’re a RINO. You’re fooling nobody.
Pee Pee, What did McCain just do? His weather vane just whiplashed left to right. The writing is on the wall. Just read.
Geez Phil, you having a bad day or what? That was harsh.
Phil,
A little good news, Bud Selig has brushed off calls to move the All-Star game.
At 1 million dollars a mile, the fence is a bargain. Arizona officially estimates the cost of their medical care, feeding, housing, schooling, jailing, etc. is 1.3 billion dollars per year. Throw in what other border states would save by building the border fence and enacting laws similar to S.B. 1070, and the question becomes “How can we not afford to build the border fence?”
Forgot the link:
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/05/13/sportsline/main6480434.shtml
If only–this one has me worried. This fools is the fool- of many fools- that caused millions of fools to sit on their hands in November of ’08.
Should he win in November I guess he will have to team with Liberman to reintroduce Amnesty. Shovel Ready Teddy is not available, or so I have heard.
And thank you Virginia Patriot and Ol’ Bud; we in Arizona daily await the reaction of the Proud and Pompus to run our lives. Glad to see Bud Selig is content to run baseball and not my life.
===
An Armed Society is a polite society.
No Phil, your points have become tedious and condescending – and as in your response to dadmin #161 – just plain rude and insulting. What’s up Phil? You used to engage in rational discourse here. Now you’re just a right wing Keith Olberman.
In your official capacity as arbiter of true conservatism, you have determined we are RINOs. I don’t want to be a RINO, so I need your help. So I ask again – what are the beliefs I need to change to be a true conservative like you? Here are some of my warped ideas.
* Our sovereignty comes from God, not the government.
* Our prosperity comes from the private sector, not the government.
* Federalism, limited government, fiscal responsibility.
* Lower taxes and business incentives.
* Strong defense and secure borders. No amnesty for illegal immigrants.
* Support of conservative candidates, not a visionless political party.
Help me out O wise one. Where am I going wrong?
swede,
Can’t speak for Phil, but voting for RINO’s even as a LOTE vote empowers them to continue to believe they are doing the right thing.
As abhorent as it may be, getting them out of office is more important than defeating Democrats. The enemy within is why we are where we are.
An American citizen has every right to vote for an obscure third party candidate with absolutely no chance to win. Best of my knowledge, there has been one or more obscure third party candidates on the ballot for POTUS ever since I’ve been voting, and a few people vote for them every election, because the two candidates with an actual chance to win aren’t perfect, and then feel smug that they didn’t choose the lesser of two evils.
Moronic and ineffective as all hell, and Obama won by a big enough party the idiots that voted for someone who couldn’t win didn’t change the result, so if you want to be smug, have at it.
Useless, stupid, moronic. But your right.
Me, I’ll choose the best of the realistically possible options, and support real conservatives anytime I can, with whatever money I can. Out of state, money only in races where it might make a difference.
Call me a RINO in person, as a taxpayer and military veteran, I’d try to punch you hard enough to drive your nose cartilage into your brain and leave you a vegetable, but its easy to insult people on the internet. Insults from anybody are annoying, but I do try to ignore the ones from complete morons. Especially anonymous internet morons who complain about squishy Republican candidates, but won’t do anything beyond voting for a certain loser to change it.
Revolutionary Marxists are not better in office than less than committed/squishy Republicans, because they will destroy the Republic quite intentionally.
There are some Republicans, Olympia Snowe comes to mind, who are absolutely no different from the Revolutionary Marxists, but as a rule, not even the RINOs want to destroy the US like Obama does.
Until you remove the Olympia Snowe/John McCain type, you have no chance of getting a real conservative. Voting for them indicates approval of what they are doing.
I voted for McCain in 2008 because Obama scared the daylights out of me, but I considered McCain to be a horrible candidate, and a worse Republican. I will never forgive him for fighting so hard for the nomination and then imploding voluntarily when he went up against Obama. If he didn’t intend to fight for the office, what was the point?
His requests for donations go straight into the trash. He’ll probably be re-elected, and once that happens, he will go right back to his love affair with the democrats. Why don’t the people of Arizona pay attention to what this man says — and more importantly, does? Yes he was a war hero, but that was a long time ago. He’s a dyed-in-the-wool RINO.
