James Carville yesterday on CNN: “This president needs to tell BP: ‘I’m ya daddy! I’m in charge!'”

Then today at President Obama’s press conference, with what is sure to be a t-shirt slogan for years to come: “Did you plug the hole yet, daddy?”

Coincidence? I think not. Obama had daddy on the brain.

Message sent, Mr. President — though I think you owe James Carville a dinner for coming up with the father-figure talking point.
