Tis the season for giving instead of receiving… for a change:
The problem for Bill and the Obama administration is that “job offer” might have saved its clothes in a closet and told a friend about it.
The White House is now hoping everybody believes that they were unaware Sestak would have been ineligible to take the unpaid advisory position Bill Clinton allegedly offered.
That seems like quite a lot of oversight for the most intelligent people in the history of the universe, doesn’t it?
Update: Wow, you know it’s a bad sign for Team Obama when Chris “the tingle has left the building” Matthews is complimenting Rush Limbaugh!

Come-on-now, when you’re under pressure to make up some lie to cover your AX on short notice, even the most devious of lawyers struggle some. Having the whole media help in the lie should do it though.
These guys are going to save the economy, run Health Care, fix the financial markets, run the Climate Change (hoax), and conduct the war on terror?—-God help us cause we’ve no where else to turn.

The most obvious possibility is that the “advisory position” story is BS. At the time, speculation had it that he was offered Navy Secretary, which may or may not be accurate – but it makes a lot more sense.

I presume this means that Obama will now start blaming Clinton as well as Bush. This may make sense politically, which is the only way he can see anything. Other than that, what a foolish choice on Obama’s part. Was the man asleep during the nineties? The rule with the Clinton’s is that they may never be punished, but they always get caught.
Clinton is the perennial naughty child who misbehaves for attention. This puts him back in to relevance again. This situation may not be as easily spun as his others were. He is a private citizen and liable for his own defense on his own dime, if all this blows up. While all of these clowns constantly remind us about their intelligence and their degrees, they are losers in the common sense department. They have lied their way to the top and will lie their way to the bottom.

There is no way that they didn’t realize how that headline could be taken. That is hilarious!
Except this time this isn’t going to cut it. This time some folks are going down. November’s election is going to make a huge difference AND Sestak is still running and wants to be elected. The story isn’t going away because he is not going to be able to ignore it and run his campaign.

Now Sestak is also a participant in the cover-up. I hope voters in PA will do the right thing and show him the door in November. Unfortunately, their track record indicates they will do just the opposite. Come on, PA, I’ll be thrilled if you prove me wrong and elect Toomey.

The ethics in government legislation was written in 1978 as a result of the Watergate Scandal. It was last amended and put into law in 1996 during the Clinton administration. If I remember correctly, this law was put into place to give greater powers to government ethics officials to prevent ethical conflicts of various kinds and applied to everyone in the federal government including every bureaucrat. I know for a fact because it happened to me and some friends that any kind of outside employment was looked at as a conflict of interest which could be prosecuted under this law.
I remember one guy who ran a soccer league for kids in the DC area. He was paid a small annual income – and when this law came out it was obvious that it applied to him unless he could arrange for a long term contract – as a long term contract associated with outside employment that predated the effective date of the law was excluded. What was really idiotic was that he was a civilian working for the Department of Defense, so unless you assume that kid’s soccer league in DC is of military importance – oops, I forgot that we are now dealing with a new military – there was no conflict of interest.
Since I also ran a small business at the time as well as being a government employee, I just wrote myself a long term contract and then retired from the DoD before the contract ran out. However, people were prosecuted under this law so there is no reason that Clinton and Emanuel should not be investigated and prosecuted. Also, since it appears that Sestak is now playing games, he is a co-conspirator.
It is stupifying to watch two of the most corrupt administrations working together. I wonder what the movie will be called. But I like the idea of “Clinton Blows another Job” or “The Govefather”.

First of all, while it may be unpaid it is not without value. Many of these positions provide opportunities to influence legislation – and such influence is worth big bucks. Second, the deal may have two steps to it. Step 1 is unpaid and advisory. Step 2 is the move to the Secretary of the Navy.
That is what I thought at first too, but if that is the case I think it is going to backfire big time with the Dem voters.
My wifes Grandmother is a huge ultra bay area lib and she called us to tell us about this twist in the Sestak tale. She is ticked off in a big way over this, because Bill Clinton is her favorite President of all times. So this blame Clinton strategy may turn more of the likely Dem voters away form Obama (and could very well push them into trying to get Hillary to run in 2012).
And every single thing that comes under the heading Obama-Clinton, ANY Clinton, is tainted with payback allegations.
Seems to me Clinton is so desperate to get back in the swing of things he made a strategically poor choice.
So now Sestak’s position was payback for dropping out, anything Obama does for any Clinton is payback for Bill attempting to take the heat for Sestak.
Oh the tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive…..
I can’t wait for that Sestak and Obama joint appearance. That’ll be rich with irony hey?

This and that both reek to high heaven. The difference is that this – even if no indictments follow – brings serious questions on the veracity and credibility, transparency (not to mention intelligence) of Team Barry, could well get Toomey elected – and casts a big black cloud over the whole Hopeychangey we are the world flying circus.
If nothing else, the entertainment value is outstanding!

Barack Obama can compile a rap sheet as long as Al Capone and it won’t matter in the least.
It is difficult to imagine Obama getting convicted in a Senate trial even if the GOP takes a small majority in 2010. The Dems would filibuster this forever, regardless of the cost to the nation and the constitution.
Impeachment isn’t likely between now and 2012 unless something completely unforeseen happens. If Barack’s original BC from Kenya were discovered in Vince Foster’s grave that might be enough to get him convicted or if he is caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy (although for the Dems that might not be taken as a bad thing).
Short of that, we are stuck with this Marxist incompetent through January 2013. The question is how much can he neuter himself over the next few months thus limiting the damage he can do in then ext 2 1/2 years.
Frankly, even I am impressed by his gross incompetence and ineptitude. Even I didn’t think he would out-shine Jimmy Carter by THIS MUCH, THIS QUICKLY. This man displays true talent in this regard. But we aren’t going to see him impeached on in the Sestak felony…

I hope the GOP continues to push the various bribes offered to more than one candidate. I don’t know if this will come of anything but hammering Obama and his witless cronies is important. I am tired of the lies about “hope and change” when in fact Obama is more about “corruption and incompetence.”
Sestak was probably unaware that such an offer was illegal when he first mentioned this back in February. After all, he is not a lawyer. But it is obvious that he is aware of this little problem now or he wouldn’t be doing a tap dance. The only problem for Sestak is that the obvious lies that Obama/Clinton are telling now have dragged him in to this mess as an accomplice rather than as a victim of the corruption he claims to oppose.
This looks like a lose-lose-lose situation for Obama, Clinton and Sestak.
