Obama Asks Supreme Court to Overturn Napolitano-Endorsed Immigration Law

By La Shawn Barber  •  June 7, 2010 09:16 AM

I’m convinced the federal government has no intention of enforcing immigration laws against illegal aliens from Mexico.

But that isn’t the worst. The government wants to give illegal aliens from Mexico amnesty and a “path” to citizenship. Republican George Bush tried to push through an amnesty bill, and failed, and Democrat Barack Obama eventually will try to push through an amnesty bill.

The Department of Justice, squarely on the side of non-citizens on this issue, has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decision that upheld a 2007 Arizona employer immigration law signed by the Department of Homeland Security’s Janet Napolitano when she was the Democratic governor of Arizona. (Source) The same year, Oklahoma’s Democratic governor Brad Henry reluctantly signed into law a similar bill.

Called the toughest sanction against employers who hire illegal aliens, the law requires Arizona employers to verify the status of employees through the Basic Pilot Program. First offenders who “knowingly” hire illegal aliens will lose their license for up to 10 days. Second offenders (on probation) face permanent license revocation.

As FOX News points out, our own Congress allows an exception to federal immigration law enforcement (emphasis added):

“The provisions of this section preempt any state or local law imposing civil or criminal sanctions (other than through licensing and similar laws) upon those who employ unauthorized aliens.”

Is Obama’s DOJ ignorant of this exception? That Arizona’s employer law was endorsed by his current homeland security chief and upheld by the left-leaning 9th Circuit apparently has no influence in Obama’s DOJ.

The only way we are going to save the Republic is to remove from office ALL those who have been complicit in this invasion by illegal aliens.

That’s MOST of the current officeholders, starting with John McAmnesty.

There is no longer any attempt by elected and appointed officials in either party to govern. Their only purpose in being in office is to seize the power of that office in order to manipulate things politically for the good of their party. The people and the best interests of the state or country be d@mned.

It would seem the Dems are going to use the courts instead of the democratic process they are so proud of to get de facto amnesty, which is very typical for liberals. They know legislation is more closely watched by the public, which is more likely to be outraged, and rely on the courts and various lapdogs like the ACLU and Southern Poverty Law Center to do their dirty work. They then get what they want without having to accept responsibility for the disastrous consequences. Even more infuriating, the socialist weasels will claim they want tough immigration laws but the courts have ruled… blah blah blah. And most of the public will buy it or be completely unaware of what is taking place while they are watching American Idol and the latest reality shows.

Duh! Who in their right mind would argue against prosecuting those enablers who would hire illegals in the first place?

These types of laws, removing citizenship based on illegal “anchor” babies, and removing those things that draw illegals here like free education, in-state tuition, free medical care, housing, subsistence allowance need to be removed in order to stop the attaction.

By not enforcing existing laws and securing the borders first is akin to painting the leaking boat before plugging the leak.

He promised to “transform America.” This is not inexperience.

When Clinton was in office, Rush used to say, “Clinton wakes up every day sayig, ‘What can I get away with today?’”

Obama just ignores the laws, the courts and the Constitution. From Day One they have been trying to flood the system. The thought is by doing this at least some of their agenda is going to slip through. If they hold power long enough this will overwhelm everthing we hold dear. That is why November is beyond HUGE.

We are being sold out by corporations intent on importing workers for jobs that can’t be exported with the taxpayers paying the true costs, financial and human. This weekend, a progressive pundit said something very “telling”. He said, and I quote, “Obama was elected so he could fulfill his agenda”. Need I say more? We MUST take Congress back in November, and I fear that might even be too late! They know their days are numbered and they are accelerating their plans. I know this sounds conspiritorial, but I can’t help it…all these “disasters”…the coal mine accident, the oil rig accident, the Alaska pipeline accident, are all starting to add up to conspiracy. Just as everyone riduculed the people who accused Soros of manipulating the market right before the 2008 election and helping Obama get elected, so too are they ridiculing anyone who suggests sabbotage of these energy-producing sites. I’m not ready to say they were all “accidents”. It is really sad to think these things of the very people in our government who were elected by the People to take care of us, but that is what it has come to!

I agree. SCOTUS is likely to say that–for once–it won’t overturn the 9th Circuit. Then, again, I think it takes four votes to grant certioari. Who knows? Still, how fricking plain does the exception that AZ used have to be? It disgusts me that Obama wastes so much time and so many resources on issues that Americans simply don’t want him “to fix.” He’s a complete douchebag.

Those same numbskulls still support Obama. His approval rating is just one good crisis away from being more than half the country. That is after the health care debacle, the oil spill, his lies, deceit, dumb remark beer summit, and a host of attack America speeches to the world. There are a LOT of people who just don’t get it yet even though they have probably lost their job, their home, their family, and all hope of things turning around. They still think Obama is the man. He should be at the same approval level as Bush was a the end of his term.

But he did make it a law to pay people fairly. As if we needed that law.

It would be much easier to just deport them–there is already a system in place to do that!!

Every law that AZ has passed by the voters against illegal aliens in our state has been taken to the 9th Circus and has been upheld. If they can get past the 9th then SCOTUS should be a slam-dunk….unless Kagan gets in–she’s so liberal she makes Sotomayor look like a moderate!
