I’ve read somewhere that ANY mosque is considered sacred, holy land and one to be fought to the death over. If this is accurate, this mosque would be considered islamic ground much like embassies are considered part of the country that “owns” is, and therefore it would be considered forever islamic. The name Cordoba (or Qurtuba, if you will) is historically significant, too, for the islamists wanting to settle old scores.

It’s a crying shame we don’t understand history and the religious reality of the existential threat islam poses. We will rue the day we allowed our beliefs in “religious freedom” to allow a nihilistic death cult to exploit our freedoms to our own slow demise. This is jihadist infiltration, pure and simple.

Odds are this Mosque will never be finished and occupied.
I saw the imam who is getting this thing built on Fox. He sat there with a firefighter from NYC and said there would be no mosque in the “community center” and that it would be funded by their local members.
People either don’t realize or don’t remember that in the Koran, muslims are told that it is acceptable to lie to your enemies and to make deals with them in order to get closer to them and gain their trust to make it easier to destroy them.
This is absolutely correct. Proof of this is rignt in the heart of downtown Mumbai. Right in the center of the busy road from Marine Lines station to Metro cinema sits a mosque. Muslims refused to move the mosque as it is now considered ‘Islamic land’ (think Halal land-grab).

It is a trend, not an anomaly…the Episcopal Church closed a church and sold it to an Islam group..forcing the present congregation and Priest out in a manner that would shock most believing Christians.

I’m sure the ‘leadership’ of tne ‘new’ diverse Episcopal Church will celebrate the Mosque across from the Twin Tower site. They are a group of ‘useful idiots’ who have transformed a beautiful religion to a progressive, left wing political group.
Selling out America is the ‘change’ we can all look forward to as long as we sit back and do nothing about it.
I’m sure they do. But, like those looney leftwing liberals who crammed obummercare, cash-for-clunkers, bailouts, etc. down our throats, they don’t give a flyin’ flip what we think.
I just wonder if anyone will work on this mosque. I can’t imagine decent New Yorkers digging a single hole for a foundation or anything else. We will see just how far this obama nation gets. And you can just about bet that there will be mistakes, etc.
Some union will build it. The only thing that matters to them is money. Unions have become the greediest players in the game. They sold their souls a long time ago.
The folks, not the unions or the government, will decide whether this gets built. Sure, a union can say we will do it – but then let’s just see who shows up and what they actually do. The cost will naturally skyrocket with all kinds of mischief. Also, how many police are you going to station around this place 24 hours a day? And do you think the police are going to by sympathetic here.
My bet is that this will quietly disappear as the Muslims will get the message that the permit process will take decades.

Islam is incompatible with western civilization. The longer we deny that truth, the more entrenched Islam becomes in our country.
The mosque has to be stopped at this point. Don’t count on unions, elected officials, nor anyone else to step up and halt the travisty…..it’s up to “We the People”, Now! Not tomorrow.
Seems the citizens of NYC remember… There are many religions in the world, but only one RELIGION OF PEACE!!!

Western ideals of freedom, liberty, and democracy are anathema to the muslim umma. Islam should be banned in America and the entire western world. Period. It is a dangerous an toxic militant movement and can no longer be allowed to spread. The tolerance meme will get us all killed or enslaved. Enough is enough.
I guarantee if work starts on this thing there will be American slowdowns and sabotage from the git-go. Bad concrete pours. Runaway dozers. Weak welds…
I can only hope that any and all wood products are polished with pork grease based wax and that as many pork products as possible are used throughout the construction of this abomination.

I fear we’ve moved so far to the PC left that stopping this mosque from being completed is no longer an option. If healthcare passed despite the protests of millions of voters, how can we stop this? I fear that protests are no longer going to be enough.
I totally agree!! Islam is a cult, not a religion. I know it will never happen, but we SHOULD stop ALL muslum immigration to the U.S. And all moslims who preach hatred against the U.S. in our country should immediately be deported back to the sandbox of their origin. Why are we allowing this hateful crap in this country? It will get us killed. Until we can acknowledge all of this, nothing will change, but only get worse.
By the way, I doubt that this mosque will ever be built. But if it does get approved, there will be mass sabbotage of the project. Mark my words.

In related news, one of my weekend papers carried an AP story about the anti-illegal immigration rally in AZ. The story said “hundreds” showed up, but elsewhere it’s been reported as “thousands”. The MSM still can’t count, particularly when they are blinded by bias.
The quickest way for this to be stopped, is to use it as a dog park (dogs are considered unclean in islam) so this would be a good place for fido to urinate and defecate. Better yet, pigs blood would taint the land for ever, have a couple hundred folks pour a cup of pigs blood on the site with plenty of publication.
As a Christian, I love pork, so this may be a great place to build a Cathedral after the muslims decide it has been defiled by swines blood and therefore can’t be the site of a mosque.
Anyone interested in building a “Chapel of the Twins” after the muslims let it go?

Ok, they can build their mosque – the day after they let Robert Schuller build a cathedral overshadowing the kaaba in mecca.
No mosque. No community center. Build nothing at that site which is even remotely connected to islam. If that imam wants a community center, let me suggest building in on a barge. That way it can be shoved off shore, where the UN should join them as well.

Shouldn’t NYC residents rejoice? After all, accepting and supporting the mosque and Muslim community center shows that US citizens love diversity and love freedom of choice, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression.
What’s the worst that can happen?
Are people afraid that Muslims will somehow eventually take over?
Isn’t that also possible with illegal aliens-invaders who clearly hate the USA, are ethno centric and racists, and engage in attacking US citizens with violent attacks, verbal abuse, and using courts and laws to get what they want from taxpaying US citizens and abuse the system?
That’s just the way it is.
After all, when it comes to Islam, as we all know, Islam is the religion of Peace, Love, Understanding, Mercy, Compassion, and illegal invaders are merely undocumented good people who just want to live in the USA and enjoy our nation while they tear it down.
