Barbara Boxer: Greatest Threat to National Security is… Carbon Dioxide

Al Gore is on record as calling “climate change” a greater threat to humanity than terrorism or rogue dictators with nukes, and Barbara “Ma’am” Boxer has followed suit by saying that “carbon pollution, leading to climate change, will be, over the next 20 years, the leading cause of conflict.”
And the only knock on Barbara Boxer that Carly Fiorina could make on open-mic night was about her hair? (name corrected, wrote earlier Meg Whitman said that, sorry Meg!)
If by “conflict” she means harsh opposition to the continued takeover of the U.S. from within under the guise of saving the world from a fiery death, then I suppose she’s correct — but that’s not what she means.
Boxer is saying, “Unless you want a lot of wars, support our EPA power grab!”
The real intent of course isn’t to rank climate change as being a greater threat than terrorism, but to inextricably link them as one problem and assign the blame to your SUV and dependency on the coal energy that is giving Ashley Judd the trots. It’s “blame America first” at its most twisted. “They won’t attack if you hand us billions more for clean energy and green jobs!”
Maybe Barbara Boxer believes that Al Qaeda flew planes into the World Trade Centers because they were getting too warm, but I’m certainly skeptical.
In fact, the greatest threat to national security isn’t climate change, terrorism or rogue dictators — it’s the people who are running our own government right now. If we can vote out politicians like Barbara Boxer starting this November, that’s just the kind of breath of fresh air that will help save the United States.
Update: Speaking of Barbara Boxer, according to CNN, President Obama skipped the memorial service for the workers killed on the Deepwater Horizon rig to attend a Boxer fundraiser. Hopefully Babs feels special.

Another reason why putting a moratorium on Congress itself might be a really good idea. A 10 year moratorium. Two years on, 10 years off. That would be about right. With a civic and mental/intelligence evaluation before the pol is allowed to be seated.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it Carly Fiorina who made the remark about her hair? After all, she’s the run running arounds Babs Boxer for the Senate seat.
This saying applies primarily to men, but it also applies to Boxer.

Not only would it be good for the country, but good for the enviorment and help reduce global warming…just think of all the hot air and spewed carbon dioxide that would be reduced in DC…

But aside from that…Glen Beck had a good point this a.m. If Boxer can’t handle a simple criticism about her hair, she is definitely in the wrong line of work! As for “climate change”, we all know that whole scenario is a gigantic hoax and those who keep playing the global warming card are going down, down, down. We just aren’t buyin’ it any more.
What is amazing, and this isn’t meant as a defense of the woman running as the John McCain candidate for Senate in California, is this woman is still probably going to be a US Senator next January.

Believe me, last Tuesday was an unqualified disaster for Republicans in CA where voters even approved a proposition that will allow everyone to votes in only one primary and the top two vote-getters, even if they are in the same party, go on to the November election. And consider that since Boxer would NEVER switch parties, this race is important if for no other reason than party head count. Let’s just say, for sake of argument, that after every other race, there are 50 Republicans in the Senate. At that point, a Fiorina win would mean the difference of which party controls the Senate. Even if she’s not a true conservative, it’s still important for her to win.

In the ’30′s coal was burned in just about every furnace in every town. Fire barrrels on the corner, cars with NO emission controls, just a breather pipe. I lived in a steel town with soot ditying the clothes hanging on the line, kesh falling everywhere. One time about ’38 it got dark at noon in St Louis—smoke from soft coal. It should be about 110 degrees here now if carbon was a problem.

Our local Utility just recieved a 6 million dollar Grant for “Smart Meters”.
The last time I ever heard about these Smart Meters was a story I read about a WW2 Vet in Wisconsin who Froze to Death in his home because his Power was shut off, one of these Smart Meters and he did not know about Resetting it. As I understand these meters are supposed to be able to read your Carbon Footprint.

I remember being pretty upset over that one. I used to get my inhaler for $4.00 co-pay cost. Now it is $35.00. Why? Because the propellant had to be changed to rid it of those awful carbons! Since they did that, it is now considered a “new” product, subject to higher cost. Don’t get me wrong…$35.00 to improve your breathing is a small price to pay. If the Founding Fathers could come back from the other side for one day, they would take one look at this Congress, and wonder how the hell did it all go this wrong.
