Teen-Sailing-Alone Survey

The formerly missing 16-year-old Abby Sunderland attempted to sail around the world, just like her brother last year.

An accomplished sailor, Sunderland was well-stocked with supplies, including a heater, but I wonder…why would parents allow their teenagers to do something so dangerous just to set a record?

What the rest of us think really doesn’t matter, but I solicit your opinions, anyway. Would you allow your well-trained, accomplished-sailor teenager to sail around the world alone? Why or why not?

Thank you, Michelle Malkin readers! It’s been great filling in while Michelle’s on vacation. If you have the time and the inclination, check out my blog, and follow me on Twitter @La Shawn.

Rest easy, everybody!
