Eddie Speaks...

Today's verdict was a tremendous disappointment to me and my family. Anyone who has followed my forty year career of public service knows that I have never placed personal financial gain before the needs of my community or my city. I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support I have received from the residents of the City of Hartford during this difficult period. I am truly sorry for any actions that may have harmed the image and reputation of our community.
...
I have decided that it is not in the best interests of the City and my family for me to continue my duties as Mayor during the appeal of my case. I will formally notify the City Council shortly of my decision to relinquish my duties.

Oh I see, he will relinquish his duties, but not resign.

On June 18th, 2010 at 3:40 pm, Marc said:

I wonder when the New York Times will get around to mentioning that Mr. Perez is a Democrat! I will give the NYT credit for being pretty rough on Charles Rangel and for getting the dirt on Elliot Spitzer. But that just proves that even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

Don't pat those who work at that treasonous rag on the back too quickly.

Spitzer was spitting for some time before the rest of the media got around to it, and even the Treason Times could not ignore it any longer.

Same with Rangel. How long did his corruption continue because the media looked the other way?

For what he did, he should have been prosecuted. Where is he now?

Gee, the Times got pretty quiet when he gave up his chairmanship.

Never mind this has-been "gang-banger mayor," (shame on the residents of Hartford for ever voting him in.)

Rather, focus on WHY the Attorney General of Connecticut, Dick "GI Joe" Blumenthal actively campaigned for this convicted, gang-banger's reelection bid back in 2007, when Perez was under grand jury investigation for his crimes.

Not unlike AG Eric Holder dismissing any request for investigation into the 'New' Black Panther Party's/Obama activists' civil rights violations via Philadelphia polling locations circa 2008, but going full throttle against the majority of Arizona's legal residents who support the rule of law...Dick "Spitzer" Blumenthal is yet another d-bag, liberal activist pretending to be a responsible, public servant, sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

Dick "Vietnam" Blumenthal will sue the snot out of the last remaining vestiges of Connecticut's manufacturing base to appease his union support, while actively campaigning for a Democrat gang-banger (under grand jury investigation)who runs for mayor of Connecticut's capitol city.

I'm sorry, but from the Federal level down to dog-catcher, you have to be a real d-bag to vote Democrat today.

Don't worry Phil,Bambi is going to CHANGE all that.
We need to start making examples of these crooks, and putting them in prison for a loooong time, and confiscate ALL of their assets then disqualify them from ever holding another public office. Then bill them for room and board for the time we supported their sorry a$$e$ in prison.
In my opinion the HIGHEST CRIME possible in the US is betrayal of the public trust by an elected official.

Eddie Perez, a one-time gang leader who escaped an impoverished childhood to become Hartford’s first Latino mayor

nowhere in the AP’s 596 word report is his party affiliation mentioned:

so his affiliation is with whom? Guevara? Castro? Chavez?

You know, I used to think that Beck's saying that both Rs&Ds are worthless was a little over the top.

I used to split hairs: "R's are a little better..." I'd say, and "They are simply too trusting, they WILL wake up when they see what's-what!"

I had managed to convince myself that that was true...

I've had my eyes opened.

I went to the headline:
"House Republicans told Barton to apologize or lose his committee seat"

here and read a story where these corrupt good-for-nothings make this statement:

“The oil spill in the Gulf is this nation’s largest natural disaster and stopping the leak and cleaning up the region is our top priority. Congressman Barton’s statements this morning were wrong. BP itself has acknowledged that responsibility for the economic damages lies with them and has offered an initial pledge of $20 billion dollars for that purpose.

“The families and businesspeople in the Gulf region want leadership, accountability and action from BP and the Administration. It is unacceptable that, 59 days after this crisis began, no solution is forthcoming. Simply put, the American people want all of our resources, time and focus to be directed toward stopping the spill and cleaning up the mess.”

Well, let us avoid afixing blame! Let us call all spades: shovels!
And we'll all call assaults: kisses! Let us look out at midnight and say it is noon!

I've been active & voting for more than 60yrs. I am TIRED. I have come to see that a complete change at the top is necessary. It won't happen, there are too many ignorant people, too many "party above all" people on both sides...

There are perhaps 4 R's I'd vote for... But I think we are past the tipping point. I see people here & elsewhere saying that we must change-out all the D's, to slow Cockroach down.

Friends, it won't: the majority of R's either agree with his ends (but more slowly...) OR are so spineless they'll go along with anything Cockroach wants, as long as he sends them some wegu beef & the MSM doesn't kick them as hard as normal. They see what is going on, the coming $7-$10 gas, the food shortages, the medical care shortages (except for them - of course) and they persist! No changing course for these unworthies!

Well, soon they will come to reclaim my carbon, (I don't utilize it very well b/c of my age, you see...) so I guess it doesn't matter anyway.

How many times are we going to be hearing that "So what! This has been going on since the beginning of history. Don't be so naive!".

That was essentially the argument offered in defense of the Sestak offers. Suddenly, WE are the problem.
