Peggy West was elected 12th District Supervisor in 2004 and, after being reelected in 2008, is serving her second term representing 50,000 residents on Milwaukee’s south side. She currently serves as 2nd Vice-Chair on the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. Supervisor West also has the unique distinction of being the first Latino/Hispanic American to be elected to the Milwaukee County Board.

Supervisor West grew up in Milwaukee and graduated with a degree in Human Services from the Milwaukee Area Technical College. Prior to her election to the Board, Supervisor West worked for 10 years in the human service field.

Note that she is the first latino/hispanic elected, so her ignorance of Arizona is stunning. Milwaukee deserves what it elects. Obviously a bunch of dummies.

An example of “a state that is a ways removed from the border” would be, I don’t know, Wisconsin?

What is the big problem with an elected official stating that they were wrong? Especially on something as clear as this.

This is not just about geography. Ms. West has used no critical thinking in any of her arguments. What does a common border or the length of a border have to do with whether or not the county board should boycott Arizona?
My question is what is the Milw. County Board doing worrying about Arizona when Milwaukee is fast turning into Detroit?

We can assume that if geography was lacking in her public education, reading was too.

I would suspect what happened to poor Ms. Peggy was the school curriculum was changed …instead of geography the lessons were on how place a condom on a banana without taring or puncturing the condom. From the number of unwed mothers it’s a safe bet not many passed that class either.

I actually had a one teacher tell me those classes teaching correct application of a condom on fruit was passed down from the school board…not the teachers idea…I called BS on that.

If Kyl wants to change his spots on this issue now, fine with me.

The problem with politicians who change spots, olsantaroy, is that they keep changing them. It’s action that does the speaking, not the words. Writing a funny letter is good for a chuckle, but it’s meaningless on the issue itself.

That’s a good point, sims. Somebody should ask her, going by her own reasoning, if she would approve of Texas passing the same law.

Her “explanation” is what we in the military call a complete loss of integrity. Nothing she says at this point can be believed at face value. Of course liberals don’t care about honesty or integrity as long as the free stuff keeps flowing. This is why I loathe them.

Maybe she thinks some of those extra 7 Obama states lie between AZ and Mexico? (They have to be somewhere right?)

I wonder if Obama can sketch a reasonably recognizable map of the lower 48 totally from memory, label them and name the capitol city of each? I’ll bet he wouldn’t even come close.

She’s confused because Bho told her that there are 57 states. So now, which states are on the border? Does she know what boycott means, or should we explain that to her too?

Her answer ;While speaking at the meeting, West did go on to talk about National Guard troops on the border in Arizona. West points to that as she tells us that she simply misspoke.

Or perhaps both her and Obama were talking about these 7 states:

Baja California Norte, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas. That would explain alot.
