Video: Open-borders Democrat needs geography lesson
I’ve met some open-borders morons over the years, but this one takes the cake. At a public hearing this week, Milwaukee County Board Supervisor Peggy West argues in favor of a Milwaukee County WI boycott of Arizona because, she claims, it doesn’t share a border with Mexico. (Hat tip: My friend Vicki McKenna)

Wow, between her lack of knowledge of the geography of America and the Congresswoman from Flordia’s basic lack of knowledge of proper grammar one can see what a winning team the Democrats have going for them.

At least she acknowledged Arizona as a state. My New Mexico is oft times mistaken as a part of Mexico proper. In my younger years in the Army, folks would praise me for my unaccented English and at the same time ask me why I wasn’t serving in the Mexican Army. This Wisconsin official has probably never even seen a map of the USA. How sad.
This is why America is a paper tiger. Yes if the General gets knocked out of theater by ROLLING STONE, you are a paper tiger.
Our Afghanistan strategy will succeed only if the enemy doesn’t fight for a couple of years so we leave. The Taliban’s greatest weapon is Rolling stone magazine. Fortunately America is focused on the important problem with our military DADT. Frankly, our leadership doesn’t deserve to be in charge of the superpower of the world. When the Taliban sick Rolling Stone on our military, they’ll win. It’s sad that they still expect me to pay taxes for this joke.
People are ignorant in large part out of apathy, but also because of dereliction of duty from the media.
The sad part is less that she was elected and more that she votes. She is indicative of people voting which is why we don’t get leaders in elected office.
So were they voting on a boycott of AZ or were she just rambling on? If voting, what was the outcome of the boycott vote?
For pity sake, we only have 50 states. Would it be too taxing for her to have looked at a map prior to giving her lecture? She’s another person too dumb to have a real job.
Sorry, the post was supposed to illustrate the ignorance of our decision makers that is less obvious that being ignorant of geography.
Americans are fortunate to be blessed with two large defensive oceans between us. At this point, with our leadership in place, if we actually shared a land border with an enemy, we would be conquered without much effort.
If Mexico were China, we’d be speaking mandarin now by force.

I emailed Peggy and notified her that the Obama administration has passed a $50 billion jobs program to shove Arizona closer to Mexico, so hopefully she’ll support the law now.
These are the human beings that pulled the lever for Obama and it’s clear that they are too stupid to be allowed to cross the street without holding someone else’s hand. Which helps explain how they decided to vote for Obama.

That’s the official “African American” flag. It’s a staple on the desks of council members of cities with large black populations. It is also the flag that children in “Afro-centric” schools say a pledge to every morning.

Once, the principal at my child’s school told me, in response to my concern that my children didn’t seem to be getting geography lessons, that it wasn’t a good idea to teach that subject because it involved too much boring subject matter and rote memorization, which would only “stifle the children’s creativity.” She said it wasn’t necessary because, and I directly quote, “If the children need to know where Florida is, they can always look it up.” Maybe the woman in the video above was at my child’s school while that particular edufad held sway, but forgot to “look it up.”
Methinks they put the vote off so they could reconvene at a later time and not burst out laughing again at the comments of this maroon!
According to the CFR report below, al Qaeda is in 100 countries, including the U.S. Though I understand we’ve got Special Operations Forces in at least 70 of them, it would be impossible to invade and transform all of these countries into prosperous Western style democracies.
A better and far less expensive solution, both in preserving the lives of our young soldiers, as well as preserving our dwindling treasure, would be to tighten up our immigration laws, border security and our exchange student programs, particularly from the Middle East and other countries known to harbor extremists. No doubt, there are some good people who would be deprived by not being able to come to the U.S. and the leftists would certainly have their sensibilities singed, but until these countries start weeding out the extremists themselves, so be it. We all do know if we had had a sane immigration policy and had kept check on foreign exchange students, which we don’t (I know this from personal experience), 9/11 would never have happened!
And finally, contrary to what Barack Obama says, we are not running out of domestic sources of energy and we must begin on a determined course toward energy independence. Not dropping drilling for oil, but augmenting it with new AFFORDABLE technology.

When person does not know the territorial boundaries of one of the states that is more likely to fall under the category of stupidity. She clearly did not know where AZ lies in relation to the boundary of Mexico (or Texas for that matter).

I listened to her again…doesn’t a state like Texas also have a problem with the “undocumented?” Well, duh, yepper, they sure do. She looks more vapid everytime I watch. It will be scrubbed from youtube, I betcha.
People in my age group were not taught geography, apparently due to a sort of sneering attitude towards anything that involves memorization. It’s not “critical thinking,” I guess.
But there is hope! Maps are available at bookstores and parent-teacher stores. You can also use maps on MapQuest and the National Geographic website, though I prefer MapQuest myself. Make sure you get a map that has Israel on it. (I know I’ve seen a map somewhere wherein I was very unclear where Israel was, but it was not MapQuest.)
