Custard’s First Stand: Shop Manager Tells Biden ‘Lower Our Taxes’

You’ve heard of Joe the Plumber, now meet Scott the Custard Shop Manager.
Sheriff Joe’s big Summer Recovery Tour 2010 (aka “Scams Across America”) continues, and Weasel Zippers has the rundown of Biden’s visit to a Milwaukee frozen custard shop yesterday:
[Biden] was appearing with Democrat Sen. Russ Feingold. The two were eating custard there, and when Biden approached the manager with some money and asked, “What do I owe you,” the manager just responded, “Lower our taxes and we’ll call it even.” Biden later jokingly called the manager a “smart-ass,” telling him, “Why don’t you say something nice?”
Gee, I thought “lower our taxes and stop wasting so much money or you’ll get voted out of office before you know it” was something nice. That’s fairly friendly advice for the administration if you ask me.
When you watch the video, notice how fast Biden put his cash away after being told “it’s on us.” Don’t make ‘em twist your arm, Joe.
President Obama was told the same thing at Ray’s Hell Burger last week and still insisted on paying (he knows he’ll get it back on the other side anyway).
An RNC spokesman helps sum up Biden & Feingold’s visit and refusal to take reporters questions:
Ryan Tronovitch, a spokesman for the Republican National Committee, issued a statement criticizing the vice president’s visit to Wisconsin.
“Knowing Vice President Biden and Senator Feingold, it wouldn’t surprise me if they called Biden’s time behind the counter at Kopp’s Frozen Custard a job saved or created in Wisconsin.” Tronovitch said. “Biden probably decided not to take questions today because he didn’t want to fess up as to why Wisconsin has lost over 73,000 jobs since the stimulus was enacted and why the state’s unemployment rate has jumped from 7.7% to 8.2% when it was promised that the stimulus would be the savior to our economy.”
In the end though, the custard shop manager said that Biden “had a good personality” — a “compliment” usually reserved for a blind date that turns out to be a double-bagger. In a similar sense politically, it’s also the perfect description for the steaming pile of “stimulus” Biden’s charged with convincing us is a real looker.

At least he could be doing something, other than standing around and suppporting Obama. Of course, we all know that the VP office “ain’t worth a bucket of spit” and “the most useless job in the government.” I, personally, ignore him.
Why is it liberals always think people are joking when they say they want lower taxes, and why do they take it as an insult when people say so to their faces? Guess it’s because none of their favored constituencies pay any.
Manager Scott just didn’t realize what a “big f@#king deal” is was to have Joe BiteMe there.
Calling someone a smart-ass doesn’t sound “joking” to me.

What is that about?
I understand that a team of journalists is now heading to Milwaukee to dig up dirt on Scott the Custard Shop Manager. Rumor has it, that he isn’t licensed to sell custard, and even if he was his custard uses egg beaters and not real eggs. Further I heard that the NYT has named an anonymous source to state that Scott paid a traffic citation 30 days late, causing a conditional suspension of his license which he avoided by mailing the fine the the Wisconsin DMV. He also yelled at his mother once when he was a teen. Not to mention that Scott may be his middle, not first name.
Y-e-a-a-a-a-a-h! That’s what I’m TALKIN’ about!
Gee, why didn’t Feingold have Bow Boy come to campaign for him?
Instead, with Biden and that nitwit Peggy West, the IQ dropped another 30 points in Milwaukee.
Having VP Biteme campaign for you isn’t going to save your job buddy.
Did Biteme say it to his face? or did he mumble it out of his earshot?
Either way, Manager Scott, if it was said to his face, should have said, “fine, that’ll be $10.00 for the cone…so I can cover the taxes”.
If he didn’t say it to his face, he should send the bill to VP Biteme.

After reading your comment 1st thought was about V.P. Cheney and how glad I am he was the v.p. for 8 years. You have to admit he wasn’t picked to bring a huge voting block with him…there was another better reason. He’s the guy that should have been president those 8 years.

To those who have never had frozen custard, you may wonder, “What’s the big deal? Ice cream, custard, it’s all the same thing.” Well no, it’s not. And the people who run frozen custard shops are very proud of their product. It’s actually kind of insults them to call it “ice cream”… Kind of like it’s insulting to tell a guy in a wheel chair to “Stand up!”
Second: The segment that says “Inaudible” goes like this…
The owner’s comment was in direct response to Biden’s saying “Ah, we’ve got to help you.”
The owner’s point was that the best way for Biden to “help him” was not by paying him $5 bucks (or whatever) for custard, but by LOWERING HIS TAXES!
It’s a very valid point, but “Bite Me”, the man who in 2008 refused to answer valid questions about how the Obama/Biden agenda was different from that of Karl Marx, merely dismissed this valid point and just called the owner a “smartass”.

The reporter was asking all the right questions (one of the very few who actually did so in 2008!!!), but Biden acted like it was a joke. No, it wasn’t a joke, and we see clearly now that the Obama/Biden agenda truly is no different than the agenda of the Communist Party USA. They’ve got the pedal to the metal driving us down The Road to Socialism USA.

After the press conference, Larry Sinclair was arrested on a warrant signed by Delaware Attorney General Joseph “Beau” Biden, Jr. Not long after Biden Sr got the VP nod, Larry Sinclair’s case was dismissed for lack of evidence.
For that dumb-ass Biden anyone with an IQ above room temperature is a smart-ass.

All of these axhols have to go ASAP, they are murdering our country and arrogantly telling the “little people’ to shut up & get used to it.

What a joy it is to have Biteme enter these small businesses. If Joe wanted someone to be nice to him, he should get a dog.

First lesson learned when I went to college in the midwest was never call frozen custard “ice cream.”
Bonus points for the “lower my taxes” comment. Awesome!
The whole story is much more frighterning:
First, Biden goes to a partisan fund raiser and makes the statement that the 8 million lost jobs aren’t coming back. This says everything about the fact that the socialist approach to government isn’t working and won’t work. It also tells every unemployed person that they have little hope of getting a job not only anytime soon but ever. What unbelievable negativity and lack of hope. Contrast this with Reagan who was optimistic and whose policies created tens of millions of jobs.
Second, Biden goes to this custard/ice cream maker. When asked about payment the manager of the place says something like “The ice cream is on the house. A tax cut would help.” Biden responds along the lines of “that is a smart ass remark”. This shows the absolute disdain that our elected officials have for “the little people” who actually pay the bills.
Biden provided a perfect reason for term limits and smaller government. He also demonstrates that he no longer thinks of himself as working for the people. In this sense, he provides the very basis for smaller government and less socialism.
You’re going to admit 8 million jobs won’t return AND you’re hell-bent on legalizing 11+ million who are either going to need a job (else sleep on our dole) or are taking or sitting on one from legal Americans. We are the jobs. Mr. V.P.?

It wasn’t 8 million jobs that were lost, it was over 10 million of private sector jobs. The decline of the private sector has been going on since 1998 once the GOP Congress blew up the balanced budget by tacking on $1T of new spending in Clinton’s final budget. The Bush administration created a net 2 million new jobs but that is because the new government jobs he created with his two new entitlements overtook the job losses in the private sector.
Now we have the Obama administration being assisted by the Dems and Assistant Dems in Congress who have put the pedal to the metal on government spending and so you have Biden giving up.
But what Biden means is that government simply cannot generate enough government jobs to make up for the loss of private sector jobs and changing course to reinvigorate the private sector through tax cuts and downsizing government is not an option.
So this is not just an Obama problem but a one-party system problem. One-world socialism is a foregone conclusion among those who govern us and they are merely annoyed by us voters who have to actually live in their fantasy worlds of hopelessness.
In November, let’s make sure there is no noseholding. Instead, block your ears and close your eyes and vote against the incumbent. If Pasadena can oust Adam Schiff to elect conservative Tea Party Republican Tom Colbert, why can’t it happen everywhere else? Maybe California is not a lost cause? Maybe it’s Arizona and Texas?

This I dare say is why our founders put many “the people can have a do over” provisions in our founding documents.
They knew history and how regardless of how a system starts, sooner or later elitist think they can rule us better then we can ourselves.
It is inevitable. Which is why we needed and our founders made sure we had the right for “do overs”.

I don’t know why people allow government servants, including the president and vice president, to speak to them in such haughty manners.
