Bomb Injures Wife of Oil Exec; Obviously the Work of Those Darn Tea Partiers

From KTRK:

HOUSTON (KTRK) — Local and federal investigators were at a northwest Houston home Friday night where an explosion sent a woman to the hospital.

The woman was opening a package left at her doorstep in the 2100 block of Seamist Court Friday evening. She had found the shoe-sized box in front of her home about a day ago but didn’t decide to open it until around 6:30pm Friday.

The woman, who officials said is in her 60s, took the box to the backyard and opened it on the patio. That’s when it exploded.

“Don’t know where it came from — postal service or whether it was dropped off. I don’t have that information yet,” said HPD Lt. Colin Weatherly. “The person went outside, basically opened the packaged; it detonated.”
[...]
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the house was targeted, however, Eyewitness News found out the home is owned by an oil company executive.

It’s not known yet which oil company the exec works for, but BP’s US headquarters is in Houston, where this took place — but there’s no shortage of other oil operations in Houston.

Sources tell me that New York Mayor Bloomberg called Texas Governor Perry and advised him, based on Bloomberg’s own past experience, that the prime suspect is probably a white male in his 40′s who is unhappy with the health care bill.

In all seriousness, Liberals have an unblemished record of sending bombs through the mail in attempts to kill those with whom they disagree.

I am reminded of this everytime I drive past the Graduate School of Business classrooms at Yale University.

I’m curious about her opening it at all. No one “leaves” a package on your doorstep anymore. Seems a bit naieve.

Hope she’s going to be ok. Reminds me of…

Both the USPS and UPS leave packages on my doorstep on a regular basis.

Of course, we are expecting the packages and read the labels because soemtimes they get addresses wrong around here.

    That is 100% correct.

The rule of thumb is … if it is negative, then blame George W. Bush.

If it is positive, credit Barack Hussein Obama.

Did Obama sign a multi-trillion dollar fiscal catastrophe, leading to the collapse of the USA, turning our nation into a land of squalor, with everyone homeless and starving to death?

Then blame it on George W. Bush.

This is a very in teresting trend as of late: First, We have the SEIU 500 person protest tresspassing on the lawn of a Bank of America Executive, and then we have this bombing detonation attempt on an oil executive (injuring a loved one). Perhaps some evil people are testing law enforcement and the DOJ to see what they can get away with?

And just who in the DOJ do you believe would actually invistigate, pursue, and arrest the bombers at this point?

The people who plant bombs like these probably attend the same SEIU sponsored parties with the DOJ leadership.

If you are conservative or white this DOJ is not going to do one thing to protect your rights or you physically. The inmates control the warden’s office and the guns.

Great info – thanks. This graphic description is also important, just so we understand that this was no 4th of July firecracker:

The lady’s friends say her face was instantly pelted with nails and tacks. Shrapnel blew so high, it landed on her rooftop.

This is a very interesting trend as of late:

Neither of these are new tactics, but they also are not analogous. What the SEIU did is to use the ACORN/Project Vote/Saul Alinsky intimidation tactics of a “community organizer” and has been going on for decades. This bomb is different category a la eco-terrorism/anarchists. While it’s true that the police acted like cowards in the SEIU case, I doubt that they’re “testing law enforcement”; they’re defying it, and clearly in the case of the bomb, unless a warning was left, there was nothing to “test” in advance of the explosion.

Wait wait hold up! I have been led to understand (via the current adminstration, the media and public education sources) and anyone affliated with “big oil” was an evil no good dirty low life. How is it that this lady could not expect to be punished for her connection with big oil? She was probably doing her random acts of kindness as a penance of sort.

At my favorite website for viewing left wing insanity, I did not see Tea Partiers (and not the name they would use for them) blamed. But I did read one particular series of comments placing the blame on “right wing operatives”, and eventually of course, Carl Rove, LoL. It went as follows:

    1. “THEY WILL CALL IT CLASS WARFARE. WATCH THE MEDIA RUN WITH THIS ONE”
    2. “BINGO!”
    3. “That is probably why right wing operatives sent it in the first place.”
    4. “Precisely- environmentalists will now be called “terrists”…”
    5. “That’s the plan. Whether or not an environmentalist had anything to do with it. Smells like Rove.”

But the majority of the comments were that while the “certainly do not condone the act” (oh sure), they can “understand the motivation”.

I suspect that this bomb attack has the fingerprints of the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) all over it. I also think that this has some disturbing aspects to it. Hezbollah is on our southern border and certainly has planted terrorists within our borders. It may be that ELF is now working with Hezbollah or members of the drug cartels who clearly understand explosives. I expect more such random bombings as the election approaches.
