The U.S. Department of Social Justice

Team Obama’s open-borders crusaders are doubling down.
Not content to file one lawsuit (already piled on top of the ACLU/reconquista crowd’s lawsuit), Attorney General Eric Holder signaled this weekend that he’s prepared to file another complaint:
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said Sunday that if the federal government does not stop Arizona’s immigration law from taking effect, it might launch a second legal challenge to combat any racial profiling that occurs.
…On CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday, Holder said that if the law takes effect, the Justice Department might have grounds for a second challenge.
The Justice Department might “look at the impact the law has had and whether or not — see whether or not there has been that racial profiling impact,” Holder said. “And if that was the case, we would have the tools and we would bring suit on that basis.”
Perhaps this is Holder’s way of admitting how foundationally weak and bogus his first lawsuit against Arizona is.
Now, pair that announcement with the revelation last week by DOJ whistleblower J. Christian Adams that the Obama DOJ decided not to prosecute certain voter fraud cases:
Mr. Adams leveled an even more explosive charge beyond the Panther case. He testified that last year Deputy Assistant Attorney General Julie Fernandes made a jaw-dropping announcement to attorneys in Justice’s Voting Rights section. She said she would not support any enforcement of a key section of the federal “Motor Voter” law — Section 8, which requires states to periodically purge their voter rolls of dead people, felons, illegal voters and those who have moved out of state.
According to Mr. Adams, Justice lawyers were told by Ms. Fernandes: “We’re not interested in those kind of cases. What do they have to do with helping increase minority access and turnout? We want to increase access to the ballot, not limit it.”
If true, Ms. Fernandes was endorsing a policy of ignoring federal law and encouraging potential voter fraud. Ms. Fernandes was unavailable for comment yesterday, but the Justice Department has issued a statement accusing Mr. Adams of “distorting facts” in general and having a political agenda.
But there is some evidence backing up Mr. Adams. Last year, Justice abandoned a case it had pursued for three years against Missouri for failing to clean up its rolls. When filed in 2005, one-third of Missouri counties had more registered voters than voting-age residents. What’s more, Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, a Democrat who this year is her party’s candidate for a vacant U.S. Senate seat, contended that her office had no obligation to ensure individual counties were complying with the federal law mandating a cleanup of their voter rolls.
Now, pair the Arizona announcement and the voter fraud-coddling revelation with Adams’ inside info on the DOJ’s double standard for white vs. black defendants .
Now, pair the Arizona announcement, the voter fraud-coddling revelation, and the racial double standard info with Adams’ testimony that Obama’s New Black Panther Party friends were allegedly pulling the same intimidation tactics against Hillary Clinton supporters:
….as the investigation unfolded, [Adams] said he discovered “indications” that the Black Panther Party was doing the “same thing” to supporters of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during the Democratic primary season in early 2008. He urged the commission to pursue testimony from other Justice officials to corroborate his story.
Now, pair the Arizona announcement, the voter fraud-coddling revelation, the racial double standard info, and Adams’ testimony that Obama’s New Black Panther Party friends were allegedly pulling the same intimidation tactics against Hillary Clinton supporters with my previous reporting on the DOJ giving corruptocrats Bill Richardson and Alan Mollohan passes…
…and with the DOJ’s decision last October to meddle in a small southern town’s decision to do away with party affiliations in local elections (the DOJ claims it is racist)…
…and with my previous reporting on how the DOJ week denied the state of Georgia the ability to enact strict citizenship voter verification rules previously approved by two federal courts. As the Georgia secretary of state Karen Handel explained: “DOJ has thrown open the door for activist organizations such as ACORN to register non-citizens to vote in Georgia’s elections, and the state has no ability to verify an applicant’s citizenship status or whether the individual even exists…”
…and with Holder’s previous politicization of the legal review process involving the contentious issue of D.C. voting rights…
…and with radical open-borders official Tom Perez heading up the civil rights division of the DOJ, which has seen its budget expanded to its highest level in its history…
…and with Holder’s blind eye to ACORN’s racketeering…
….and with Holder’s continued push for civilian trials for Gitmo detainees represented and embraced by his former Covington and Burlington partners and other bleeding heart transnationalist lawyers…
Add it all up and you have a recipe not for a “Department of Justice” or even a “Department of Injustice,” but a Department of Social Justice and Selective Justice.
Alinsky’s avenging angels are living large and in charge.

Swede is right. The only reason things look bleak is because most conservatives believe in distinct right and wrong and try to work within the law. But once you negate the rule of law, as this administration is doing, all constraints will be lifted- not by whim but necessity. They may think they want anarchy to usher in the revolution but we will not sell our freedom cheaply and they will lose.
Of course, it is not really time for C4. But I fear that we are heading for such a time. The internationalists — “international conspiracy,” if you will — Soros and all the spawn of Antonio Gramsci and Saul Alinsky, they are winning the day. They have their man in the White House. Flyoverman mocks with a reference to Bill Ayers, but Bill Ayers, a Leftist terrorist, has his buddy in the White House.
They have a vision, and it is not a democratic one. It is a classic totalitarian one and if it cannot be defeated it will lead where the visions of totalitarians always lead, where Lenin and Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro and Guevara and so many other righteous totalitarians have taken their countries. It will lead to a police state where dissenting opinion gets you shipped to a gulag if not shot outright. It will lead to a country gripped by fear where there is no public or media dissent whatsoever, where people are afraid even to speak their true minds in front of their children.
The totalitarian impulse on the part of Obama and the American Left is palpable. They universally believe in using the courts to turn their beliefs into constitutional law. They’ve quashed broadcast freedom before (with the “Fairness” Doctrine) and Team Obama salivates with the wish to reprise that sort of strategy to shutdown talk radio.
Their friends in the media run the broadcast networks and the big newspapers as propaganda arms of the Obama administration. We all know that; we see it everyday. They absolutely ignore and deny the stories that hurt their cause. And they gen up one hysterical slander after another against conservatives.
Obama has spoken quite boldly on several occasions about his impatience with the democratic processes of our government, especially of the Senate. He has made clear his wish to change the rules so that we can have — in Tom Friedman’s striking vision — a little period of Chinese-style government.
This recess appointment of Donald Berwick was a remarkably bold and arrogant unconstitutional maneuver. I listened to Gibbs defending it today. They believe that Republicans would be unfair and they are not going to put up with it; they’re just going to short-circuit the constitutional procedure and deny any public airing of the implications of this appointment.
The Left is everywhere trying to subvert our elections process and they have the DOJ as their handmaiden in these totalitarian schemes. They want people to vote without having to identify themselves. They want to stretch out the voting process so that “community organizers” can haul people in one-by-one to vote as they are told. They have no objection to voter intimidation if it is being carried out by black thugs.
I’ve never forgotten my old military training that taught that the best time to escape from the enemy is as soon after capture as possible. Totalitarians are always a little bit stealthy. Just like serial killers who abduct women or Nazis who are rounding up Jews…they don’t announce up front where this is all going. By degrees they assert absolute control over their victims until there remain no means of resistance. I don’t think that they have mass murder on their minds right now — that is something that comes along later as totalitarians get frustrated at their difficulty in controlling people. But they certainly do intend to control us and, in fact, to ensalve us. Enslave? Well, what do you call it when you have to go to work everyday and the government is taking away more than half of your money? They want to decide what you eat, what you drive, what medical care you get, how your children are educated, and where you set your thermostat. They want to control YOUR LIVES. And as they become ever more powerful they become nastier and more coercive with their schemes.
The Left does not want to have a debate. They really do not believe in democracy. Oh, it’s okay with them when they have the numbers, but they don’t intend ever to lose anything in democratic processes. They intend to win — to install their totalitarian vision — by any means necessary.
When you don’t — as they say in the Middle East — have “a partner” in the process, you don’t have democracy. And Soros and the Chicago thugs don’t intend to have democracy; they are here to CHANGE this flawed country not to have a national town meeting.
There is a time for C4, even if that time has not yet come. We’re close enough, IMO, that it is time to start ~thinking~ about it. People like to say that Nazi reference immediately end online conversations. Well they can go to hell — Nazism was one of the most compelling and instructive and horrific episodes in modern history, and I take numerous lessons from it, lessons that I do not shrink from speaking about.
There was a time when Hitler had been named chancellor but he was not yet a dictator, a period when he was consolidating his power and shutting down all opposition. Unfortunately, the opposition failed to act strongly until they were in the iron grip of a brutal dictatorship. People hoped that they could work it out, that things would get better.
I am watching this justice department and this anti-democratic administration. I am watching how hard it is to reach the general public over the heads of the MSM which has completely abrogated its obligation to report impartially and has joined one side. I am watching to decide when American democracy has absolutely become nothing but a kabuki dance to distract us while the totalitarians tighten their lethal grip. I am watching to decide if things have gotten critical enough that it is time to try to recover American democracy with C4.
And we will put them in jail for violating the laws.
True that. I would go so far as to say the entire 20th Century, from the Armenian genocide up to 9/11 (21st, I know) and everything in between, is one massive history lesson in how tyranny operates and seeks to enslave humanity. How so many in this once great nation can disregard these lessons is astounding IMHO. History is repeating itself, again, while clueless Americans are preoccupied with Lindsey Lohan, Mel Gibson, and Lebron James.
The Democrat DOJ is basically admitting their politics suck so badly that they need felons to intimidate voters and felonious voters to get into power.
It’s good news.
Where’s Ja’No. Ah never mind.
I am really interested in what our resident lawyer has to say about this.
Hey Chap! Can you comment on any of this?
Guess not….
