The National Association for the Advancement of Coddled People
My column blasts the desperate, Tea Party-bashing demagogues of the NAACP. In new developments, the Sacramento chapter of the NAACP is crusading to turn Michael Jackson’s Neverland into a state park. The St. Louis NAACP official who called SEIU beating victim Kenneth Gladney an “Uncle Tom” reiterated and defended the slur last night on Fox News. And the NAACP and all the other old, usual suspects of the far Left are trying to recreate the Tea Party movement with a top-down coalition called “One Nation.”
Imitation is the best form of flattery…

Before the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People decided to ride the anti-tea party wave back to political relevancy, its most recent activist crusade involved a silly space-themed Hallmark graduation card. Yes, the NAACP has been lost in space for quite some time now. And blaming whitey will no longer cut it.
In June, the Los Angeles chapter of the NAACP demanded that the greeting card be pulled because it used the term “black holes” (which the bionically equipped ears of the p.c. police insisted sounded like “black whores”). “It sounds like a group of children laughing and joking about blackness,” one NAACP official complained.
It was a group of hipster cartoon characters chattering about the universe and galaxies and wide-open possibilities to new high school and college grads. Alas, this is what has become of the once-inspired drive against racial discrimination.
In just a few short decades, the stalwart strivers for equality have turned into coddled whiners for hypersensitivity. The NAACP is a laughingstock. The group no longer represents the best interests of oppressed minorities, but the thin-skinned whims of the black elite and the ravenous appetite of the Nanny State. Establishment civil rights leaders now use their once-compelling moral authority to hector, bully and shake down corporate and political targets.
As Ward Connerly, the truly maverick opponent of government racial preferences who is black, wrote, “the NAACP is not so much a civil-rights organization as it is a trade association with clear links to the Democratic Party, despite the claim of its chairman that ‘the NAACP has always been non-partisan.’ Such a statement doesn’t pass the giggle test. The NAACP uses the plight of poor black people as a fig leaf to hide its true agenda of promoting policies that benefit their dues-paying members, not black people in general or poor black people in particular.”
To compensate for squandering the proud history of the civil rights organization on innocent greeting cards, NAACP leaders introduced a much-hyped resolution at their annual convention this week attacking the nation’s biggest racial bogeyman: the tea party movement. It’s a tried and true tactic of worn-out grievance-mongers: When you can’t find evil enough enemies to blame for your problems, manufacture them. (Just ask hate crimes huckster Al Sharpton.) This is why one of the most popular signs spotted at tea party protests across the country remains the one that reads: “It doesn’t matter what this sign says. You’ll call it racism, anyway!”

The NAACP resolution calls on its chapters across the country to “repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties” and stand against the movement’s attempt to “push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.” Yet, it’s the NAACP that lobbied the Obama White House to dismiss voter intimidation charges against the thugs of the New Black Panther Party, according to Justice Department whistleblower J. Christian Adams. It’s the NAACP that opposes the 21st century school choice movement to free poor minority students from rotten government schools, as black parents in Washington, D.C., have suffered firsthand. It’s the NAACP that elevates “diversity” above academic rigor as its primary education goal. And it’s the NAACP that backs retrograde, race-based set-asides and classifications that encourage cronyism of color championed by their water-carriers at the Congressional Black Caucus.
And it’s the NAACP that tolerates racist sneers and smears like those leveled by the St. Louis NAACP chapter against black limited-government activist Kenneth Gladney, who was derided by civil rights leaders as an “Uncle Tom” after he was beaten bloody by Service Employees International Union henchmen last summer.
Addressing the convention on Monday, first lady Michelle Obama urged NAACP mau-mau-ers to “increase” their “intensity.” She’s a pro at employing intense accusations of racial oppression as a defense against criticism and milking the victim-ocracy for all its worth.
At Princeton, she complained about “further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant.” But rather than remaining “on the periphery,” Mrs. Obama climbed the crooked Chicago ladder on a rapid ascent to the top. She hopped from Princeton to Harvard to prestigious law firms, cushy nonprofit gigs and an exclusive Hyde Park manse, before landing in the East Wing with the greatest of ease.
Question the timing of the tea party-demonizing resolution? You bet. The NAACP’s man at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. finds himself radically out of step with the American mainstream in the lead-up to the 2010 midterms. He sent his wife to the convention to re-establish White House racial authenticity at a time when increasing numbers of minorities are now as fed up with massive debt, usurpation of individual liberties, corruption in Washington and chaos on the border as everyone else.
It’s a black hole bonanza. Cue the distraction: RAAAACIST!

Michelle, I hope you are armed with responses to the inevitable critcisms of this part of your article that will be provided by this blog’s crafty word-parser-in-chief.
(Referring to a thread topic of last week, I believe.)
There was a day, decades ago, when Jesse Jackson was a person I admired, as he taught and inspired children with a message of self-respect and aspiration.
He is a fitting personification of the whole aging civil rights machine…for it became a machine. Corrupt, venal, hypocritical, destructive, mean, and contemptible.
So many people who could have lived out their years in honor have sold out, like the people who lied about the TEA Party racial epithets.
The NAACP is just a hiss and a by-word.
Great job MM!
Black lawyers in the SF Bay Area command a 50-100% premium on salaries as compared to their white counterparts. Why? Because law firms are so desperate to show “diversity” on their staffs that they have to pay it to keep young blacks on their staff. Why? Because the social justice agencies and government civil rights positions are theirs for the taking. Prestigious law schools and urban law firms give racial preference in enrollment and hiring all the time, whether it’s an official policy or not.
It literally pays to be black in our country. So how come, with all the talented lawyers of color serving as inspiration, does the inner-city have such a hard time fixing its problems?
The answer is because it would put these young black lawyers out of business.
It is absolutely in their financial interest to race-bait and oppress urban communities, for without a “victim”, there is no need for saving from the big bad “cracker”.
It’s the only song they know how to play.
Actually it is every topic the Word Parser In Chief engages in, and it was this week’s Harry Reid imbroglio, that allowed him to reach new heights of naked twister lawyer speak.
I would not expect this, because most law firms pay a standard scale according to what class you enter in, i.e., all fifty years are paid the same. Bonuses may differ, but certainly not by 50-100%. Where are you getting this information?
Why don’t you take any criticisms you have of my alleged word parsing to that thread instead, hm?
I’m sorry, you are inferring what I did not imply. Please show me where I specifically named you as the subject of my critique.
Ooops, meant fifth years. If you are a fiftieth year and still an associate, you probably should have left long ago.
Yeah, my ears were burning…
I don’t know how much lawyers get paid, but it’s too much and there are too many.
Please….sue somebody for something is a constant cry from Dewey, Cheatham and Howe.
You might want to have that looked at by your PCP.
The NAACP is irrelevant and has been for decades. It might as well be called “colored people are still victims.” – To be relevant they need to start realizing that the patronizing liberal elite has been keeping them down and will continue to as long as they vote as a block for their progressive candidates.
Does not matter. The devil pays in counterfeit money.
Money quote. The real stuff. Why the pretense? Why the lies? Embrace the true you, NAACP! Come out of the closet and say proudly: “I am working for the main man in the White House!”
These people are fomenting violence, the same as the black panthers. They WANT us to react. They are goading us. If we fall into their trap, we are lost. I fear, however, that there will be an incident that we won’t be able to ignore and the match will be lit. This is what the progressives want.
I will never understand why anyone wants to take the most successful, prosperous, creative, free society ever in the history of the world and turn it into a cesspool. Socialism never works. NEVER!! And Capitalism has always worked. I know Obama and his black army want redistribution and reparation. So, what happens when they “accomplish” that? There are three basic types of the poor and downtrodden: 1)physically and mentally disabled 2)drug addicts and others who have ruined their lives and need help 3)lazy jerks who expect us to take care of them. What happens when you take the creativity out of the country? What happens when you destroy the working class and the business communities? The physically and mentally disabled don’t get the help they need. Addicts continue to ruin their lives without intercession, and the lazy jerks become violent and go on rampages, looting and stealing, causing the normal people to take up arms. This is what the progressives WANT! Why else would they do what they are doing? Obama could diffuse this madness by going out and telling the NAACP, and the panthers, et al to chill. But he doesn’t. Why? Because he is on their side! It is so obvious! I can’t see this ending well, because our patience won’t last much longer.
That says it all Michelle. Calling someone a racist, or an Uncle Tom ends any and all discussion of anything that can be constued as a race related issue. It makes the matter immediately personal, substituting an ad hominem attack, for honest discussion. Nowadays many black leaders thrive on this hate mongering, and rather than looking inward to their communities, outside sources for failure are blamed. As the guy’s sign in the picture states, racism will always be the response to anything stated that is critical of Obama or his administration, or any minority. People are getting fed up with use of that cowardly tactic.
Certainly as an individual with more than 100 brain cells, I know that racism still exists, though it is almost rendered irrelevant today because it is taboo, as of course it should be. Minorities have the same opportunities as anybody in this society; our current President being the ultimate proof of this. But there will never be any honest discussion about race (even if discussions are necessary; Im not so sure because it seems everybody is already always talking about it) in this Country until minorities stop accusing anybody critical about a minority as racism.
This administration has set back race relations in this country by many years.
The NAACP is nothing without angry victims yearning to live free (as in off of the taxpayer). The pretense of relevancy is for them and to keep them on the plantation. I’ll respect the NAACP when they fight for everyone regardless of skin color. IOW, never.
It is easier to ignore them.
This is all political posturing and diversionary tactics.
The U.S. is dying economically and socially because of this Obama regime’s (and past admins) failure to lead. And this failure has nothing to do with racism.
The left along with MSM and this Obama regime; ignored and dismissed one of the most blatant examples of racism captured on video accompanied by unimpeachable sworn testimony proving racially bigoted voter intimidation and Federal law breaking in the Panther incidents.
Yet on the other hand; NAACP and First Lady Michelle Obama claim the Tea Party are racists which they are not.
It’s human nature for people to telegraph to you what they fear in others by what they practice themselves.
The left needs to foist the lie that there is a racist conservative enemy to keep their NAACP and liberal power base engaged and enraged.
Without this race card; NAACP, Affirmative Action and most what Obama, AG Holder, First Lady Michelle and too many liberals have been invested in and how they achieved their positions of power by all their lives, become obsolete.

Off topic: Iowa billboard compares barry to hitler/stalin…since removed…
http://www.foxnews.com/static/managed/img/Politics/071310_obama_604x341.jpg
Quite accurate.
They have devolved from the NAACP through the NAALCP to the IAWAA (Irrelevant Association Whining About Anything).
Oh, please. He doesn’t look anything like Hitler or Stalin.
Note to MM: the link after…usual suspects of the far Left are trying to… seems to be incorrect (same link as Neverland link).
The clip with O’Reily was interesting but I was surprised to see him almost agreeing with NAACP rep that the buttons (sold by Gladney) were the problem. I hoped for a 1st Amendment arguement against the “Uncle Tom” comment but O’Reilly dropped that ball completely and concentrated on how the NAACP could have won if they had just not said “Uncle Tom”. … Swing and a miss, Bill!
The NAACP has now completed the circle… They have become the extension of JACKSON and SHARPTON… The only way they will continue to exist is to keep the POOR and BLACK in servitude to the GOVERNMENT… The mentality is that if they could bring the “COLORED PEOPLE” out of the 1st and 15th mentality they would all be out of work…
the main reason I stopped watching OReally 2 years ago…it’s just him, self-important individual, he’s the only one with the right, as in correct thought on his show.
he’s bore!
The issue or non-issue of race in politics is easily understood, if you understand that those who throw out the RACISM charge, are in fact, the RACISTS.
Nothing else needs to be said. As long as the real racists are allowed to get away with this nonsense, the longer it remains an argument for them. Whenever one of these so called offended parties claim racisim, stand up and be heard, loudly….Sir, YOU are the racist!
From my lawyer colleagues in SF. Not sure where you are, but there is no “standard scale” in the SF Bay Area.
A link telling why the billboard was covered up. The billboard was papered over.
Over and out.

Sigh. It’s easy – they hate this country precisely because it works. If they can tear it down to their own failed level then it makes them feel better about themselves. Remember that feelings are all that they have, they never were able to think for themselves.
Within firms, people in the same class don’t make the same base salary? I don’t know who your lawyer friend is vicki, but that is the way it works at firms of any decent size in every city in the country. Look at this chart. I don’t see a separate column for black first years and non black first years.
In any case, can you just share your source for your conclusion that blacks make 50-100% more than comparable whites?
Sorry, I misread a bit. You are saying that your source for that statistic is some lawyer friends you have?
So the NAACP is condeming the tea party as white racists(even though there is diversity within the tea party). Have they condemnded other non-white groups as racists or do they only exclusively reserve their condemation for supposed white groups? Would that not make them a discriminatory group then?
Yeah, same reaction here… One of my other favorites, Laura Ingraham seems to have fallen into the O’Reily mold a bit as well. I find myself listening less.
I believe so.
Not at all. Since it funcitions as a fully democrat supported and liberal minority organization nothing it does can ever be considered discriminatory.
Ditto here – stopped watching more than a year and a half ago; and feel that I’ve missed…nothing at all.
I suspect Michelle will get the usual hate mail for this column; “how dare a black woman criticize the NAACP??!!!”
How so, swmntman? I don’t get a chance to listen to Laura as often as I used to due to local radio’s schedule-shifting. But I agree with the general consensus re: BOR being a pompous jackass.
Talk about a bunch of water-carriers being led by nose-rings by their pompous, egoist, pride-belching “hey, I’ll take no plain paper bag full of money before you give it to me” slimy, slithering NAACP GOONS. Wake up people. It’s been over 50 YEARS and what has this rabble done for you????
Actually, Socialism *does* work for those who are at the top and in control. They turn an entire nation into their personal slaves and live in any fashion they choose.
This is why Socialism, or its variants, are always a problem in free societies. There is always a group of individuals who want a free ride, and will break any law, violate any moral, and otherwise lie/cheat/steal their way to power.
seeing the world through the prism of race fractures perspective and diminishes the soul
You arguably could be describing what islam has done to civilization over the past 1400 years; and is still striving to do today – with its socialist/fascist buddies.
SPOT ON TARGET! This says it all MM…..
I figured that Obama would talk to Iran, Al Queda, North Korea long before he would ever agree to talk to the tea party. Who does he consider his real enemy?
That’s a rhetorical question, right?
I’d like to get in on this thread…what color people are we talking about again?
“Did you see a female moth fly thru here?” “Was it a white one?” “Yeh!” “No, I didn’t see it.”
- Moe & Curly (TERMITES OF 1938, 1938)
In Hawaii they say the Missionaries came to do good and ended up doing well.
Perhaps doing good should be an avocation rather than a profession, and when the work is done, move on.
Just a change in her tone and approach… much more bullyish and a bit pompous. I hear O’Reily in her tone (I’m the authority and I won’t stand for anyone questioning my statements)… Just my perception really.
Rogue–I love that short (Termites). Later in the short, when all the mice run out of the musical instruments, two mice can be seen copulating on the carpet.
Yes. Mrcakes & I notice such things.
Yes. They are colleagues of mine and are unable to retain quality attorneys “of color” because they’re enticed away by firms who will pay a 50-100% premium to demonstrate “diversity”, but what happens is that non-minority lawyers are paid less. It’s reverse discrimination.
Then surely you must’ve seen the copulating knicknacks that Kim jong Il had on a table in “Team America” when he was singing his “I’m so ronery” song?
The NAACP has added more evidence supporting the axiom that the biggest racists you’ll ever find are the people pointing at others around them and exclaiming, “Racist!”
As far as I’m concerned, “NAACP” stands for nothing more than “National Association Advocating Cynical Projection.”
We need to establish some new organizations – “Racists for Lower Taxes!”, “Racists for Limited Government”, “Racists for Secured Borders”, etc.
If they going to call us all a bunch of racists anyway, why not just do what homosexuals did with the word ‘gay’ – change it to mean something else.
Yep, we’re all a bunch of racists here and damn proud!
MM, this is one of your best! I’d send it to my friends, most of them Dems, but they’ve already read it!
Please note: I’m not suggesting conservatives adopt this tactic – only be aware it’s being used against us.
It’s easy to made accusations, pass resolutions which the other side must defend against. Doesn’t matter if the accusation is true or not – just make it and force the other side to spend time and money defending against it.
It’s exactly what the NAACP is doing here….just spout that “the tea party” is doing something (racist) and then “the tea party” spends it’s time and energy refuting said claim instead of focusing on smaller government and a return to the constitution.
Yes; if coitus is to be spied, I’m yer gal.
i.e. the poster of ‘positions’ on the wall behind their apartment bar in the ’2 wild ‘n crazy guys’ skit with Ackroyd & Martin.
If “diversity” is a marketable asset to a law firm, and these people fill that void, isn’t that just the free market dictating their worth?
Slaves are made in such ways!–William Wallace/Braveheart
I’ve spent most of my life red and peeling. I could be my own minority. Anything benefits I can get out of that?
Why, yes it is.
Got it in one!
Yeah, folks have their own perceptions – and for some odd reason the perceptions often differ
I’d say it’s fair to say LI has always been a bit aggressive, not holding back punches. I dunno about “pompous”, though – I think anyone who regularly puts him-herself in the public eye has to think of a bit highly of themselves as a prerequisite. Especially if they’re in the opinion field.
No comment on that. I just wanted to note that I’m glad you haven’t commited ritual hari-kari, Chap, especially with even the WH publicly sweating buckets re:massive GOPs wins in November. I thought maybe you’d taken a lone, despondent walk on some high bridge or sumthin’.
From what little I remember from history class (learned it for the test – erased it when I exited the door), didn’t the Democrats only show interest in the NAACP during the 1970′s, after they saw that Jesse Jackson was able to keep the group from dissolving in MLK’s untimely absence?
Didn’t we both have some predictions a while back on this?
I don’t recall exactly what mine were, but I may, may have to nudge them up a bit. Well, unless you guys keep putting out candidates like Sharron Angle.
Lady Obama:
Wow! Newt and Beck are right – Progressives feel no kinship with this nation and are determined to reshape it from the foundation up!
That’s been obvious to me since high school in the late 60s.
Since when did she ever even try to be a full participant. It worked to her advantage to be a whiny victim, victimized by a cold cruel system which happily gave her entrance to ivy league school so that she could continue to be victimized. And now she continues to be victimized by a system which allowed her no talent, socialist hubby to fly her all around the world at taxpayer expense for date night. Does the woman have a grateful bone in her body???? She is living proof that handouts work and that the recipients of such largess expect it rather than appreciate it.
Hmmm, like to watch eh? Saucy wench!
ew, no.
‘state’ park?
Oh, ok–psychotic state.
I’d think an amusement park would be more appropriate (arent there carnival rides there already?) and much more popular and profitable. They could resurect the Capt EO ride, The Wiz ride (ala Pirates of the Carribean) done in animitronics, for historocity, an animitronic MLK doing his “I have a dream” speach, and an “Eat It” buffet…Oops, wrong performer
Yet another great MM article. Good job, Michelle!
IMHO, the race card is the leftists answer to the noose which the KKK used to use to control those it saw as being inferior people. Nothing silences white Americans like the race card, so I’ve developed my own defense against it …
How The 0bama Regime And Its Cult Made Me A Racist Today
Except I would be afraid of what kinds of predators a Neverland Ranch theme park might bring in….
Somebody needs to point out that the State of California is BROKE and cannot support the parks it currently has!
If Jackson had wanted that land to become a park, he could have donated it to the state with a trust fund to support such a park. Jackson did not and the State of California should not get involved.
Nah, I’m sure management would be just as vigilant, careful and concerned about the welfare of the visiting chidren as Michael was.
Managed by the same team that brought you Air America.
…Yet another reminder of why I abhor identity politics. I cannot help but wonder what Dr. MLK Jr. would say if he were alive today… Could he believe that America has fragmented into cliques along the lines of ethnic/racial identity? Or would he say that this evolution is what he envisioned or planned? I would like to believe he disapproves of this Balkanization just like I and most people do. Hyphenated-Americanism is a path to national disintegration.
Well stated, Michelle!
Just imagine how the NAACP would erupt if there were another NAACP – National Association for the Advancement of Christian People? Or what about an NAAIAP: National Association for the Advancement of Irish-American People? Or what aabout yet another NAACP: National Association for the Advancement of Caucasian People?
Or how’s this: NAACP – National Association for the Advancement of Conservative Principles? Oh, wait, THAT’S WHAT THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT IS!!!!!!
Never mind, then…..
If that’s true then on what basis is Kenneth Gladney referred to as an Uncle Tom?
Yeah, NAASCP (National Association for the Advancement of Socialist Colored People), you’re non-partisan alright. Just as long as the non-partisan position is defined as absolute allegiance to the Democrat Party.
Black people who support the NAASCP’s calls of racism are the 21st century version of Steppin Fetchit.
As a Tea Partier, I support Republican Star Parker for Congress in Californias’ 37th district.
http://www.starparkerforcongress.com/
Yup, it’s come up a coupla times I think.
I’d say so.
Chap, I want to say one word to you. Just one word, Chap: “Dashle”. (Or “plastic” – interchangeable terms)
It seems Dems/libs rose colored eyeglasses’ will have to be pulled from off their cold, dead noses. There are only a few realists at places like Kos, even though Kos has been wakened somewhat as evidenced by his lawsuit against his in-house pollster for producing “bunk”. You may remember I pointed out the faux-pollster’s poky-hokyness some time back. If only Kos had joined our commenter-reader ranks here for a heads up on that and other real world insights served up by MM and gang here on a daily basis. Po’ lad.
Oy. How could I misspell “Daschle”? Mebbe because he’s a forgotten man?
What!? The CIA?
Oh, Air America Radio. Never mind : )
forgotten – may that be true of many a current Democrat office CONgressional holder come January 2011.
“coddled people”…ROFL
One Nation “Ein Volk!”
purp, we are way off topic, but…
Do you really think Angle is a good candidate? Look at the last 3 Rassmussen polls:
Rasmussen 7/12/10 750 LV 46 43 – +3R
Rasmussen 6/22/10 500 LV 48 41 – +7R
Rasmussen 6/9/10 500 LV 50 39 – +11R
If she is losing that much support with a pollster with a well documented Republican house effect, how do you think she’s doing in real life?
Admit it…she is a disaster of a candidate. She may very well lose an unloseable seat.
Why, some of my best friends are coddled people.
All lefties are sick in the brain. This just proves it for the millionth time.
Heh, Jet, good un. But shouldn’t that be “persons of coddle”?
Not me, Chap. I just wondered if the Dem’s Nov prospects drove you to some serious “goodbye cruel world” mulling.
Like I sez, I don’t bring her up, that’s more your worry. Other than her being the one who’ll quite likely end Reid’s career, I don’t think much about her either way. Besides, I’m not GOP, Conservative, etc, just a “small i independent” who won’t miss Harry.
“Well documented”, lol. It’s well documented that I’m the latest incarnation of Krishna. But if you’re looking for straight, apolitical polling that incorporates Rasmussen, you might wanna check out:
Pollster (2010 Nevada Senate General Election)
which yields, at the very least, a statistical dead heat with her leading Reid by almost 5 points.
Lessee here – we got us a candidate who is very well situated to take out the sitting Democratic leader of the US Senate. Yeppers, I think can live with such disasters.
I don’t know much about Angle, but I am very concerned that the GOP has so much trouble fielding first-rate candidates. The cranky old RINO at the top of the ticket in 08 would certainly be an example, and many of the more ideologically attractive (i.e., “conservative”) candidates don’t seem to be much better. McCain’s primary opposition would seem to be an example there.
I am certainly less than enthusiastic about our Senate and governorship candidates in California, although, admittedly, it is a tough state from a conservative’s perspective.
We should be walking away with the Senate seats in Nevada and Kentucky, but we are not. Assuming a victory in Kentucky, we are electing a loose cannon, to say the least, and from a state where we should be able to elect a reliable conservative with no crazy genes.
I guess it is not useful to walk through the party and rip our candidates so I will stop here. But there seem to be a lot of them to be unenthusiastic about.
Wait, wait wait… did you SEE those poll numbers? All of them since she wone the primary showed Angle wth a steady decline. That is not a good sign for her. Every time she opens her mouth it seems it is another half point swing Reid’s way.
Yup, I think others have already made note of the fact that Reid has been unable to break 43% support since the polling started. For Angle – or anyone else for that matter – it doesn’t matter if she wins by 5 points or 50 points. To coin a phrase: a win is a win.
I agree – her statement declaring there are “No Illegal Immigrants Doing Construction Work In Nevada” is one example of a desperate and tottally clueless candidate.
Oh wait. That wasn’t Angle, my bad. No wonder Reid’s kid is trying to run for office as just “Rory 2010.” I dunno if that’ll help, though. (If so, we’ll likely see a run of Democrats changing their last names to “2010″.)
But on the plus size, Chap, since Reid is a shoo-in you might want to sell the farm and make a killing in the wagering markets.
Speaking of…Intrade has Reid as a 52% likely winner. He was at 25% before Angle came along.
