Apologist-in-chief aims for another Nobel Peace Prize

Raise your hands: Who else is sick of the Shirley Sherrod circus?
We’ve entered the 20th minute of Sherrod’s 15 minutes of fame with this afternoon’s news of President Obama’s phone call to express “regret” for his administration’s hasty sacking of the former USDA official.
She pronounced herself “very pleased.”
Profuse apologies to the world reaped Obama his first Nobel Peace Prize.
Perhaps his telephone penitence today will his earn him a second…

I don’t see Zippy phoning the Gerald Walpin any time soon, do you?
Shirley is just the latest distraction to keep people’s minds off of what’s really going on in Washington.
Remember don’t waste a crisis.
At the risk of offending Chaps’ formatting sensitivities…(heaven fore-fend)…
Sherrod has shown her true plumage.
Rush agrees, BTW…
I am sick to death of the gal and the fact race is what this is all about. If the d’s can’t blame Bush, they go to the ‘race’ thing. Get a grip d’s, people are getting sick and tired of you!
L
Ragspierre,
Rush is going ballistic on this today. He is telling the truth about what is going on.
L
Obama: “When I heard we had employed a racist I assumed she was a white tea-bagger so I demanded she be fired. Then I discovered she was black and knew she couldn’t be a racist, so I would like to bow (bows) offer her a new job and a raise, and a ride on one of my private jets. And now back to my golf game while the economy melts.”
The “Ruling Class” is reeling and are striking out the only way they know. The only big laugh over this was the preemptive strike at Fox News the day Breitbar’s video snippet hit the fan. Way to go libtards, blame Fox before they even get a chance to report.
Gag me. Gag me with a trowel.

When will she be administratively reprimanded or barred from being re-hired for her gross violation of the Hatch Act?
crickets chirping
Notice that while the decision to fire came from the white house, Obama makes sure not to apologize personally, but to emphasize that the Whitey that works for Obama is apologizing for oppressing her the way white people always do.
I always thought when the people railing against ‘the man’ became ‘the man’, they would reconsider what they thought of ‘the man’.
Obama, on the other hand has become ‘the man’ but pawns off responsibility for being ‘the man’ to somebody else.
I guess it won’t ever dawn on them that they are the enemy they have been looking for and fighting. George Bush wouldn’t have fired someone like this.
I’d settle for flying the pizza guy in from St. Louis once a week. Wasteful – sure, but innocent in a way institutionalizing racism isn’t.
Shirley Sherrod IS a racist. I want her permanently fired and any retirement benefits stripped. Shirley Sherrod is s bum. Her position was fictitious. No one knows anything about her daily duties. She drove around in a car, spoke negatively about white people before the NAACP and thinks Obama should learn about the slave blood poor in the South.
When will he apologize to my children for putting them $13 trillion in debt?
Back in black
I hit the sack
I’ve been too long I’m glad to be back
Yes I’m, let loose
From the noose
That’s kept me hanging about
I keep looking at the sky
‘Cause it’s gettin’ me high
Forget the hearse ’cause I’ll never die
I got nine lives
Cat’s eyes
Usin’ every one of them and running wild
‘Cause I’m back
Yes, I’m back
Well, I’m back
Yes, I’m back
Well, I’m back, back
(Well) I’m back in black
Yes, I’m back in black
Back in the back
Of a Cadillac
Number one with a bullet, I’m a power pack
Yes, I’m in a bang
With a gang
They’ve got to catch me if they want me to hang
Cause I’m back on the track
And I’m leadin’ the pack
Nobody’s gonna get me on another rap
So look at me now
I’m just makin’ my play
Don’t try to push your luck, just get out of my way
‘Cause I’m back
Yes, I’m back
Well, I’m back
Yes, I’m back
Well, I’m back, back
(Well) I’m back in black
Yes, I’m back in black
She redeemed her prior racist comments by inciting class hatred? Yeah, a real great human being there. The bigger story is the fact that a coordinated effort from White House and MSM to smear Hannity, Fox, and Breitbart takes place at the same time we are learning about the details of journalist. That is what’s taking place here. It is all propaganda.
sorry for the typo: I meant “journolist”.
Obowmao to Rahm: When I talk to Shirley am I supposed to bow or curtsy? I always get confused on that part.
On HA, dear shirley is thinking about suing AB for the video. I hope this gal does, I will give to AB defence fund!

Regarding the “Ruling Class”:
Long, but quite excellent article – very much worth the read:
http://spectator.org/archives/2010/07/16/americas-ruling-class-and-the
letget,
she won’t sue. Obama won’t allow it. They don’t want the decision making process to come out in discovery. She was fired. He posted a video of a public speech. He’s not responsible for her being fired. He doesn’t need to make her whole, the person who fired her does.
The saddest part is that she’s already sued the government for 300,000. She’ll sue again. . . and we will all pay . . . because of Obama. Whitey owes them anyway. . . too bad the money comes from all races that pay taxes.
I don’t think you give the Obama-idiot enough credit for this one. I mean, he actually did something; he can honestly claim now to have accomplished something! Of course, the accomplishment was to fire her in an ignorant huff and then re-hire her in a fit of race-angst, but that’s still a huge improvement over Obamacare!
Someone, please reprint what she said about Fox News. I heard it once and then it disappeared. If this wasn’t a racist rant I don’t know what was.
Only solace is that she will have to pay taxes on her “winnings” restitution. Bet she isn’t even paying taxes on the income, but we will never know.
Somebody please wake me when we get to the “post-racial” part of this “post-racial” administration.

Shirley Sherrod is racist and the folks in the audience who agreed with her are racist and the NAACP for not slapping her upside the head for being a racist is racist. PHEW…
Ragspierre#28,
Wow, thanks. That was the first time I have seen this. Wow again. I would appear this gal is in it for, dare I say, money? I, personally don’t think she has much of a case, but I am not an attorney.
L
As to a case against Breitbart…she has none, IMNHO. The bar for defamation in these circumstances is VERY high.
All it will take is for a couple of white farmers who remember that back in the 80s this lady nixed their chances of keeping the farm or expanding their business or what-ever. If she did it to the white man she spoke of so nicely /sarc, she’s done it to more.
(And if there’s one massage therapist who cries molestation, there’s likely to be more…)
Breitbart explained on Hannity, and no one paid attention, even FOX, that the video wasn’t supposed to be about Sharrod, it was about the reaction of the members and president of the NAACP, when she was talking about discriminating against a white farmer. but they successfully got the attention off of the NAACP, and onto this woman.
Also, further on in the tape she makes some really racist remarks, such as anyone that was against the Healthcare, was because Obama was a black man. She has said since her firing, that Fox news wants to see blacks back where they lower their eyes when they see a white man. (not exact but the general gist.)
She is racist, but I’m sick of hearing the whole clap trap. It’s really tiresome.
Boy, the Shirley Sherrod Wikipedia page sure has changed a lot in the last 24 hours.
Just another player in the Justice Shakedown Industrial Complex.

And finally, what really goes on inside the USDA? These people need to realize, the Internet is knowledge.
Our “Post Racial” president elected in 2008 in large part due to his race.
If the president’s unpopular socialist agenda hasn’t already sealed his defeat in 2012, his and those in his administration’s continued playing of the well worn and tattered “Race Card” will.

I still can’t get over all those conservatives who go on defending Sherrod as not being a racist. At least Rush “told it like it is” today.
Yes, Sherrod is a racist.
Yes, Obama is a racist.
Yes, everyone at the NAACP is a racist.
It isn’t that hard to figure out, folks.
Not to worry the MSM will give her the Joe the Plumber treatment fer sure…
./sarc off
seriously thohgh folks, I would really like to see some light shined on this woman’s background… start with that business about the white man killing her parents… then move on to taxes, etc.
Now, there I think you go too far, Trollman.
It is always dangerous to paint with too broad a brush. Almost…
from Wikipedia…
Shirley Miller was born in 1948 in Baker County, Georgia, to Grace and Hosie Miller.[6][7] In 1965, when she was 17 years old, her father, a deacon at the local Baptist Church, was speculated to have been shot to death by a white farmer, reportedly over a dispute about a few cows.[7] No charges were returned against the shooter by an all-white grand jury.[7] This was a turning point in her life and led her to feel that she should stay in the South to bring about change.[7] That same year she was among the first black students to enroll in the previously all-white high school in Baker County.[6]
so, is there any way this can be checked I wonder, or are we just supposed to believe that this woman’s father was murdered by a white man and let go by his white brethren?
Shoot, you want a really crazy story, and a really powerful bigot ready to do amazing damage….

fyi, i grabbed this from an commenter at another site,… seems apropos to this thread as well…
President John F. Kennedy made the following opening remarks at a White House dinner honoring a gathering of Nobel Prize winners,
I have been impressed by the intellect of Thomas Jefferson:
April 29, 1962
Ladies and gentlemen:
I want to tell you how welcome you are to the White House. I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together at the White House, with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.
Someone once said that Thomas Jefferson was a gentleman of 32 who could calculate an eclipse, survey an estate, tie an artery, plan an edifice, try a cause, break a horse, and dance the minuet. Whatever he may have lacked if he could have had his former colleague Mr. Franklin here we all would have been impressed.
Jefferson in some cases could be called a prophet. So here are some quotes from Mr. Jefferson that seem very appropriate to repeat
today:
When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.
Thomas Jefferson
The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson
It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson
My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson
No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson
To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson
In light of the present financial crisis, it’s interesting to read what Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
‘I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks,
and corporations that will grow up around the banks, will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
This is not over. This woman is a professional shakedown artist. She sues the USDA, and days after the $13MM award Vilsack hires her? WTH?!!
http://biggovernment.com/bshapiro/2010/07/22/congressman-sherrods-hiring-should-be-investigated/
O-bow-to-me should be awarded the Ignoble Appease Prize. He is definitely on a roll now…
SHE NEEDS JOE THE PLUMBER TREATMENT!
and is it too late to investigate these thieves who stole MY money for their BS “farm” entitlements? If so, WHY?
DAMN!

Object lesson on how weird this whole deal has become…
A-FREAKING-mazing…
Thanks for the link nail49. I started getting suspicious yesterday when some conservative bloggers were starting to criticize Breitbart and the “she’s a victim” shakedown started to play out. To his credit, Mark Levin wasn’t buying into it.
When I saw how much her Wikipedia page had been upgraded overnight, I realized they had made a huge mistake and actually provided too much info about her, allowing people to start digging into her background. Seems like there is a lot worth digging into. What were her qualifications at USDA and how did a new job “magically” appear for her to be offered.
One thing that really struck me is that massive amounts of reparations money is being paid out by the U.S. Government, in many guises, all under the name of social justice.
She became versed in the USDA regulations when she was tharted by them while trying to help black farmers. She learned the rules better than them in order to fight with them and get benefits. She probably is knowledgable in her profession.
It is interesting when you sue a dept, win, and then get a job there. When Vilsack said they had tens of thousands of civil rights suits against the dept, my head spun. Who is doing this mass violation of civil rights. Are these all local agents denying farm loans etc to blacks in the KKK part of the south? Is it still happening. I have no problem cracking down on both the KKK and the NAACP. Both organization are racist and extremely divisive and should be dismantled.
As for the broad brush of the NAACP, the name itself is racist. If you join it, even with the best of intentions, you are guilty by association. That organization needs to go. They should reform under a different mission than advancement of a particular race.
Max,
See the other Sherrod thread. I posted some info about her Dad and Baker County there. I pulled it from a few different sources. The law in Baker County in the 60′s, 70′s, and 80,s was pretty rough.
The white farmer that allegedly killed her father was not indicted. The county was certainly racist at the time and that may have been the reason. It also may not have been. None of those things matter to a racist. Sherrod will tell everyone what she wants them to hear to further her racist cause. My instinct tells me she is being fairly truthful but still not proven. Kinda like her current situation.

T-Bone makes my point perfectly:

It’d be like belonging to an organization called “Send’em Back To Africa.” Anyone who would belong to such a group is a racist, period.
La Raza is even worse. That means ” The Race”. How idiotic can you be to support something like that? Oh, and before anyone claims they are not racist check their motto:
Their motto is Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada (For the race, everything. Outside of the race, nothing.)
And read their charter. Yikes. These people operate in the open without fear of retribution for their blatent racism.
Obama named one of their members an Ambassador for goodness sakes.
Oh but that Tea Party! Asinine.
One last thought: Anderson Cooperrrr was so self-righteously serious last night (I know, I was just flipping through on the way to Food Channel) and had such a determined look on his face while saying Andrew Breitbart has to go. Right now.
What a crock of U-Know-What.
And, yes, Sherrod had blamed Booosh for all the woes of the US. All Boosh’s fault for the last 8 years.
I think we need a new term, a new BDS: Breitbart Derangement Syndrome.
How else can you explain people savaging Breitbart (& Fox News), when it was Obama & the NAACP that caused Sherrod the real harm?
Seriously, I mean just look at chap here. He “knows” Breitbart had the full tape all along. And chap “knows” the NAACP crowd wasn’t laughing at the racist parts of Sherrod’s speech, even though the head of the NAACP admitted the NAACP crowd’s reaction was troubling.
Breitbart, Fox News, and even Sherrod aren’t the story here. Obama & the NAACP are.
Hands raised, Michelle. I was sick of this circus days ago.
So far that peace on earth, hopychangy deal ain’t workin’so well, no matter how many fist-bumps and bows. I think the “yes-we-can” motto was for being the most bumbling bunch of buffoons in history.
One can only hope that the next time he bows to any nation, someone will put a sticky note on his royal buttocks declaring “kick me now”
Sherrod is blatant racist, but that’s ok, she’s black and must have suffered years of unnerving hardships at the hands of every white she ever ran into.
That’s sarcasm excluding the fact she is a racist.
There will never be an end to racism in America, too many blacks make a living off it.
I’m taking back what I said on the aforementioned day. After listening to 20 minutes of the 40+ min. video, I can’t go so far as to call her a racist. I’m back to neutral and will wait until I have time to listen to the whole tape as well as other info coming out before I label her a racist. I wanted to correct myself – I jumped to a conclusion. (Much like many who I disparage ..)
How stupid is this Sherrod woman? So far she’s turned on the only people that supported her. Another one returned to the liberal/democrat plantation.
