Rangel Campaign Releases Promotional Video for Fundraiser
**Written by Doug Powers
Plans are continuing for a birthday fundraiser for Charles Rangel on August 11th, and attendance might hinge on the outcome of a House ethics hearing this week:
Another issue for many of New York’s top officeholders: a scheduled Aug. 11 campaign fundraiser for Rangel at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, hosted by outgoing Gov. David Paterson and chaired by most of the state’s Democratic party elite, including Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, the Democratic candidate for governor, and Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a Republican-turned-independent, was listed as a co-host as well.
The only thing more challenging than trying to figure out who the most crooked person in the room is will be to get Bloomberg to stop measuring the salt content in the hor dourves.
Rangel has to run for re-election and win in order to keep raising campaign cash to pay his legal bills. So no matter what happens Charlie can be fairly certain his lawyers will be voting for him.
Rangel’s campaign has released a video promoting this year’s fundraiser using some footage from last year’s party just to remind everybody that they like him and still do, dammit:
After the party it’s off to one of Charlie’s rent-stabilized apartments for cocktails and conversation.

Rangel is what Harlem deserves, so long as they continue to elect the slug.
Too bad the nation has to suffer.
Another solid, sordid, argument for term limits.
Republicans. The other Democrats.
Good. Once they have all arrived, just double-bolt the doors and make sure no one escapes…ever!!
Black Community what say you?
Where is Spitzer ?
How can he use campaign money to pay legal bills? Is that not illegal itself? These people are so crooked they are like human Gordian Knots.
Republicans = Democrats
Democrats = Marxists
Socialists = Anarchists
Good simili RedDog! Gonna have to borrow that one.
And I’ve heard there is a quick solution to Gordian knots….
Yeah, it’s called scissors!
Happy birthday to the tax cheat. May he enjoy many more if jail.
sorry… in jail.
I’d be willing to bet that he’ll get re-elected.
Dem voters aren’t known for their smarts.
When you see how people have such blind loyalty to a person in districts like Rangels, you begin to understand how otherwise normal people allowed the evil people they worshiped to burn six million Jews and 5 million others.
Aug 11, Plaza Hotel: A new ground zero. I’d stay away from that area next month.
Harlem has had nothing but black crooks representing them for generations. They don’t know that there could possibly be other choices, and they celebrate the criminal element of their representatives. Rangle will be reelected, he’s their hero.
That’s been one of my biggest sources of heartburn with “liberals”: I couldn’t care less if they want to engage in self-destructive behaviors, I just wish they’d stop saying, “You’re coming with me!”
Impossible to argue with that…
At risk of being repetitive…
TERM LIMITS
Rangel, Frank, Reid, Pelosi.
Put them on a billboard dressed as the four horseman of the apocalypse, as an advertisement for term limits.
Actually you could come out with a series . . .Kennedy, McCain, Hatch, Bennett.
There’s 535 options, so the combination’s are pretty much limitless.
I don’t know if it’s stupidity John, as much as voting for the guy who brings home the pork. Rangel gets them stuff.
Perhaps it’s both.
Politicians and diapers need to be changed regularly – and for the same reason.

He will weasel out of this somehow!
Apologies to all REAL weasels out there.

Rangel looked pretty spiffy on T.V. yesterday. Nice vertical pinstriped white shirt.
***
I hope his wardrobe changes to the traditional wide black and white horizontally striped jail uniform soon. He would look cool in the matching striped prisoner cap.

Who is is opponent? What has Rangel done for his district? Are they way better off, slighty better off, worse off, or the same?
And the answer to that question is jobs, not handouts. Giving people unemployment, welfare, food stamps, and other government bailouts is giving them the fish, not the fishing pole.
Do they know or care about the difference?
Ethics Committee: What do you say to these charges brought before you?
Rangel: None of your damn business!
Fixed it.
“When you take the A-hole train,
You will be to Harlem in a jiffy.”
If Charwie Wangel does get reelected, maybe he’ll use part of his legal fund to fix his vocal cords.
Especially Northeastern Dem voters. I would know; I live in ABSCAM Murtha’s home state.
Must be tough to get around up there:
“How do I get to the Murtha Building?”
Ans: “Do you mean the Murtha County Courthouse, the Murtha Municipal Auditorium, Murtha Stadium or the Murtha Office Building?”
“The Murtha Office Building.”
“OK, go down two blocks and turn left on Murtha Blvd, go 6 blocks and turn right on Murtha St, go straight until until you hit the Murtha Freeway, then go south until you reach the exit for Murtha Avenue. Turn right and it’s two blocks over.”
I love that song. I didn’t know the words though.
Sugar Hill is waiting for it’s kickback and rent controlled apartment(s)
Is that right across the street from the Cold Blooded Ice Cream store or the Haditha Insurgent Union Hall?
Doesn’t Rangel have a building named after him? Something like the Rangel Community Development Association–sorry couldn’t find an easy link. Also, someone is running against him for his seat but don’t know the name….
Neither does anybody else in the district. It’s hard to run without kneecaps.
I think this is the Republican candidate for Rangel’s seat. I’m gonna check him out, but here’s Faulkner’s link: ttp://www.faulknerforcongress.com/
