Illegal Aliens: Backbone of the US Economy!

By Doug Powers  •  July 31, 2010 04:02 PM

We know that CNN suits sit around scratching their heads about how to boost their dismal ratings, but do they ever watch some of the crap they expect people to pay attention to? Morons with enormous egos might be fun to laugh at on occasion, but they are unwatchable on a daily basis.

Rick Sanchez, the CNN “reporter” who proves that the network has a stringent intellectual affirmative action program in place, asked an Arizona state congressman a question that should have simply been received with nothing more than wild laughter: “What’s your beef with illegal immigration?” Sanchez then went on to recite a laundry list of how, apparently, illegals keep the US economy churning and the government tax coffers filled (sounds like somebody has a landscaper he doesn’t want to lose).

The legislator’s mistake was to try and dignify Sanchez with a response that consisted of anything other than, “What’s my beef with illegals? Because I took an oath to protect and defend the US and Arizona Constitutions — and that includes not turning a blind eye to illegal activity going on right under my nose, whether that illegal activity consists of somebody breaking into the country, or into your house , you ludicrous twit!”

And if you need a palate-cleanser after that, here’s Sanchez getting tased:

People must stop trying to dignify stupid statements and questions posed by other people masquerading as journalists. With the exception of the 3 seconds that it took Sanchez to say “very well stated”, every single statement and question that Sanchez uttered in that 4 minute exhibition of complete tomfoolery was pulled right out of his @$$. And he has the huevos to mention the AZ rep’s “talking points.” Who’s to say Rick Sanchez isn’t an illegal alien? Does he pay all the taxes he is legally obligated to pay? His point of view certainly suggests he lives in a cave so it seems likely that under the assumption he made in this video he pays no property taxes.

The gov won’t secure the border. The gov won’t make it easier for businesses to screen applicants to verify legal status with a quick, accurate method. The gov won’t track visas to catch those who would over stay them. The gov won’t fix the system to reward those who follow the rules. The gov is composed of morons who never remember their oath to the Constitution. The gov doesn’t get to cherry pick the laws it wishes to follow and ignore those it doesn’t. Citizenship is a reward for becoming a patriot and should not be offered as a bribe to keep certain manipulative elites in power. The Sanchez interview showed how lame the debate is on both sides. Clearly, no one in power wants to implement real solutions. Fire them all. By not fixing the problem, it really doesn’t matter whether or not illegals contribute more or less than they take; pay taxes or not; help or hurt the economy. The gov wants serial amnesty. The elites will decide which new group is useful in maintaining power. If it were about compassion, the system would be fixed. If it were about the economy, the system would be fixed. If it were about contributing to the country, the system would be fixed. Instead, we have a bunch of gov power grabbers who need the chaos which surrounds the issue. If they wanted REAL REFORM it would have been done by now. Our gov doesn’t fix problems, it creates them.

Posting of fast text kicks out and prevents submission. The Bee also seems to block the term LINK. Hate to tell you how long it took me to figure out substituting the term URL. It’s not only CNN either. Bloomberg TV and CNBC are also hopeless open-borders and amnesty advocates. Even Larry Kudlow has brain cramps when the notion of secured borders is discussed.

Corporate America just refuses to see borders as anything other than an artificial line on a map that defines where one market ends and another begins. The idea that there are different laws, cultures, languages, levels of education, and so on seems alien to them.

Anyone who was educated in the big universities, particularly if they were legacies, are suspect. This is a ruling class problem.

Sanchez used to be on Channel 7 from Miami. It pandered to the Latin audience with over the top delivery, gruesome stories, absurd rants, & never missed an opportunity to run a story about a ship sinking, a plane crash,or some kind of death. Sanchez had a drinking problem, & there are stories of him being “escorted” home by the local police. Of course, then there is the story of him killing a person, possibly when he was DUI. His on camera presence is patently stilted, his questions have the resonance & insight of a 9 year old, & he is a dolt of the lowest order. Of course he is on CNN. Who else would have scum like him?

Thanks olsantaroy. Feel free to use anything I wrote. Expand on it. The debate on illegal immigration has produced nothing more than a name calling stalemate. Nothing is getting solved. It must be because the elites have used the debate to mask the progress towards their ultimate goals. I now feel that the immigration debate has always been a distraction to divide and conquer the public. It is time to stop arguing with idiots. If everyone here illegally got amnesty tomorrow, the immigration system would still be broken. More people would be encouraged to break the law and the gov still would have no mechanism for background checks. If the AZ law was going to over burden the federal system, then how would the gov handle processing those getting amnesty? How long would the line be if all illegals were going to get SS#s? The presence of immigrants doesn’t produce jobs or stimulate the economy. It is the other way around. The argument hasn’t shifted to how to fix the system. Calling people names doesn’t fix the system. Where is the plan to fix it? Secure the border how? The gov can’t fix it. It can only argue about it because talk is cheap and only sounds like it will work. The gov has to do more than talk.

I guess Sanchez was having problems comprehending the word “illegal”.

As far as I know the main thing that makes Liberals/Progressives/Marxists so in love with illegal aliens (other than the potential increase in the sheeple herd) is they provide wealthy lefties with cheap domestic help that won’t complain about the failure to report their wages, withhold taxes, file a grievance when they’re hurt on the job, or unceremoniously fired.

Maybe El Presidente can believe Rick and then forget that rational analysis indicates that each mojado adds about $17000 to taxpayers bills–to educate them and their children, put their crooks in jail after they do felony crimes here, to care for them in our emergency rooms.
    ***
Then El Presidente will demand his border jumpers back so that they can do their economic magic in Mexico and improve the place.
    ***
Not likely–Mexico’s main income producing exports are drugs and illegal aliens–to the U.S.A. And the souls of innocent Mexican bystanders to Heaven. Stupid people starve to death in Mexico–here we make them our political “leaders”. And the Left Wing Media carries their water for them–at our expense.

What is the contribution 3% of our work force?

They do supply cheap mostly low skilled labor, and they do manage to keep wages suppressed in this country among the working poor -including their legal alien visa carrying counter parts.

Because some lefty made it up, the way they make up all the other things they say. Provable facts are irrelevant. If they are the backbone of the economy, then we look at how well things have gone. We can be thankful for all the jobs generated by “press one for english” and all those wonderful bilingual signs which teach us correct spanish. Maybe it’s time to tax all those drug dealers and human smugglers, since we wouldn’t want them left out of “contributing” to society. Maybe they should pay social security too. Oh, the poor victims who are coming to work and pay into systems which will never pay them back because they have stolen SS#s. We should appreciate the fact that we don’t have to pick our own veggies. We would certainly starve without the generous contribution of the “undocumented” workers who have worked their fingers to the bone to propel our economy to where it is today. And all they ask in return is to annex a few states to Mexico, free health care, free education, instate tuition (or better yet college scholarships), free gov money and citizenship. Is that really asking too much after all they have done? Now tell me, EXACTLY how hard these people work to deserve the frebbies they want? Tell me how much more they contribute than the rest of us do who do not demand what they are demanding because we believe that earning one’s own way counts for more than demanding one’s way. We have affirmative action for whining.
