There’s been times I WISHED for a cell phone, but not enough to make it worth my while to GET one.
Besides, I get tired of them ringing in Church, in resturants, etc. For pete’s sake, I’ve been in public restrooms and hear people talking on that thing while sitting on the toilet! Goodness! Can’t a guy have just a FEW MINUTES to himself!?!?

Congratulations, the wife and I do own and carry them. Handy devices for us when we’re out and about. They are non-contract pre-paid ones and we use them only for real calls – no empty chatting, no texting, no video, no internet, etc. and that’s the way we like it.

They have an “off” button and the ringer can be turned off as well. And of course you don’t have to answer thanks to caller ID. Just sayin’.

I just got ATT Uverse, and I love the caller id function which comes on the tv so I can choose to get up and answer or not. It was especially great this past 2 weeks when 5 calls a night came in for primary robocalls. Love it.

I rarely use mine, but it has come in handy sometimes. Unless I’m expecting a call, it’s off.

Yeah, I don’t get the need to constantly be talking either. I was downtown the other day, seeing person after person walking along with their ears glued to a cell and jabbering away. It was a glorious summer day to be out and about in – I felt both bewildered and sorry for them at the same time.

Sorry, I can’t advise on the Droid App, but from what folks are saying here it sounds like it’s working just fine!

sweet! The untold story is the droid. I’ve had mine since Jan and knew then it was going to be as big as the iphone.

even now, the media trip on themselves to talk about blackberry and iphone and they NEVER talk about the Droid.

I watch business channels all the time, and it’s always bashing verizon, praising the iphone, and the business community talking about how satisfied they are with their blackberries even though they are thinking of switching to the iphone.

AT&T got another exclusive for the new blackberry.

If you want to make huge dividend (7%) and growth for a company trading at a fantastic value (should be OK in a big downturn), put your money in VZ Verizon. The droid does everything the iphone does without the hype.
