The vulgarity of liberal female “comedians”

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 12, 2010 10:23 AM

Left-wing female comedians are proving that they can be as crude and stupid as their male counterparts. Who knew that striving for gender equality meant pursuing the dream that one day, someday, liberal women would be able to mock their conservative counterparts’ sexuality with the unfettered vulgarity of Andrew Dice Clay?

Recently, Kathy Griffin attacked GOP Sen. Scott Brown’s daughters as “prostitutes” on her Bravo “comedy” show.

Now, via Brian Maloney at the Radio Equalizer, supposed funnywomen Stephanie Miller and Aisha Tyler make genital jokes (video at the link):

MILLER PRODUCER (24:00): I’m not sure, which is worse, if he actually believes all the crap he [Limbaugh] says, or if it’s just an act?

AISHA TYLER: I actually felt that way about Ann Coulter. She says the most outrageous things and I think sometimes she says them because she knows they’re going to get on. (Miller interrupts)

STEPHANIE MILLER: Of course, of course.

TYLER: I don’t know. I can’t decide either because okay it’s theater, so maybe there’s some kind of sophistication involved.

MILLER: I knew her years ago. I’ve said this many times on the air. She at some point went ‘oh, I have to say crazier bleep to sell books.’

TYLER: Yeah, but now she’s being out-crazied by Michelle Malkin, who by the way, I would kick right in the nuts if I met her. [Miller and staff laughing]

So Michelle, don’t let me catch you at the Beverly Center cause right in the nut sack is where my foot’s going. Wear a cup, lady.

In a follow-up, an indignant Miller defends her friend’s gutter “humor” and castigates unsophisticated conservatives who do not comprehend their nuance:

I hope you are proud, feminists.

You would think people who tend to be obsessed with sex and sexual humor (I’m sorry, but they are) would know a little something more about the difference between boy and girl-parts.

I’ll say again what’s been said before; if this had been said by a conservative about a liberal, it would have been taken seriously and treated as a “threat”. And she did, in fact, threaten violence against you if/when she ever came into contact with you, even if what she said she would do was not physically possible.

What is she supposed to do, though, poor thing? Argue against you with facts and logic? She has none.

No more Ghost Whisperer for me. Somehow I think I’ll live.

It was an amazing performance to watch him change a serious discussion into a comedic result.

The problem with liberal comics is that they really can’t make comedy out of honesty and decency, and have to resort to foul mouthed behavior to get affirmation and laughs. Their behavior gets much worse when confronted with an opposing point of view. They can’t handle their emotions and quickly breakdown into Howard Dean like screams.

Satire, sarcasm & scatology are all useful tools of comedy. The problem is, when one of these jokesters use any of those tools, it is delivered with no nuance, to use their word. It’s like this: they don’t think it is a funny subject, nor a laughing matter, and therefore it is not funny nor comedic when delivered. Get it? They simply come off as sad, pathetic and enraged.

Get off the stage. Go rant against Palin, Bush, Coulter, Limbaugh & Malkin in your mirror. Go get a tattoo–it’ll make you feel better about your addiction and lack of family life.

That’s because the great Conway was a COMEDIAN, not someone with a political axe to grind who wanted to say vulgar, threatening things in public and get away with it by calling it “comedy”.

Unfortunately, the latter is mostly what is passing for “comedy” these days.

The problem with liberals is that they all go into the wrong professions. For example Barack Obama would make a terrible president, but he’s their guy. This lady isn’t funny, but she chooses to be a comedian.

Maybe the problem with these communists isn’t that communism is bad, they just aren’t working in the right things for them. It’s like they have a QB playing left tackle and a defensive end playing wide receiver.

If you put people in the right thing, maybe communism will work. But as long as they have unfunny people working as comedians and over-hyped, unable to perform, and unskilled Obama as president. Seriously, Obama’s only skill is getting elected. He has never done anything else successfully or well.

There is a pattern of questioning conservative women’s feminity; saying that you have to “look up their skirts” to make sure they are really women, here implying that they have male body parts.

I don’t think the likes of our Hostess, Sara Palin, or any number of other conservative women have any reason to feel insecure in their womanhood. You go, girls!

The greatness of those she grew up watching has eluded her so she rejects it. She rejects her father’s memory. She rejects Christian morality. She rejects conservative principles. She rejects men… or maybe men reject her. She rejects it all claiming that she is better, wiser, and wittier when in the end she is just another who couldn’t live up to her father’s good name and can’t forgive herself for it.

Back in the day (before she came out and got militant), Rosie O would refer to Tom Cruise as her “boyfriend” or “future husband”, and Nicole Kidman as her (Rosie’s) “boyfriend’s wife” (Cruise & Kidman were still together).

I one time had the real privilege of watching Tim Conway in a college auditorium setting. He described foul jokes as the lazy way to get cheap laughs, and then proceeded to show exactly how difficult really good comedy was to do.
    —————————————-

That’s because the great Conway was a COMEDIAN, not someone with a political axe to grind who wanted to say vulgar, threatening things in public and get away with it by calling it “comedy”.

Unfortunately, the latter is mostly what is passing for “comedy” these days.

I absolutely agree with both of you. It’s sad that Conway represents probably the last of the great “comedians” we know and love. All the greats are almost gone – Conways buddy Harvey Korman among the latest to leave us. Truly FUNNY men. Watch repeats of Conway and Korman together on the old Carol Burnett Show and laugh until you cry, and not a single foul word ever said. The “Dentist” routine … Conway at his greatest.

If a comedian has to resort to vulgarity to be funny then they are just ignorant.

I found George Carlin to be frustrating…I believe that his clean stuff (football vs. baseball) was outrageously funny. It didn’t seem like he needed to do the raunchy stuff.

The other day I found a vinyl record that I played for my teenage kids of Bob Newhart, and they really got a kick out of his routines (“The Driving Instructor”, “Abe Lincoln vs. Madison Ave.”, “Introducing Tobacco to Civilization”).

    Okay,

The “joke” isn’t funny. It isn’t a joke. It is an expression of violent, hate filled, vindictive, venemous obsessive animosity and irrationality.

Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Michelle Malkin are not the only targets of such hatred. You, me, and everyone else who holds Conservative points of view and values are hated by these people who aren’t funny and who try to paint their hatred as a “joke.”

Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, and many of us are much too bright. The clowns spewing their bile in that clip are insecure in their ignorance, and jealous of those who are actually brighter than they are and more well informed. That is why they hate Limbaugh, Coulter, Malkin, and the rest of us.

No. The diatribes by Aisha Tyler, Stephanie Miller, etc., isn’t nuanced. They are too simple minded, misinformed, ignorant, and they lack the intelligence required to understand and solve even many simple problems.

If you don’t think the “joke” they told is funny it is not because you are a dumb, knuckle dragging Conservative who is too stupid to “get it.”

Some of us actually have genius level IQs and we are also well educated and have a great sense of humor. Miller, Tyler, et al can try shovelling their manure on someone who is stupid enough to fall for your BS. It isn’t working on the rest of us, and that is why they make up such a feeble excuse.

No. As a person who IS smarter than most of the leftists, I know the reason the “joke” isn’t funny comes down to one thing: It just isn’t funny because it is hate speech and violent aggression expressed by those two individuals who errantly believe they are funny.

It must be embarssing for the likes of Miller, Tyler, and Griffin to spew such hate filled nonsense. You can hear their discomfort in their voices and in their forced, nervous laughter.
