Alvin Greene Indicted on Felony Obsenity Charges

By Doug Powers  •  August 13, 2010 02:26 PM

Alvin Greene is now officially ready to join Congress:

A grand jury on Friday indicted U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene on two charges, including a a felony charge of showing pornography to a South Carolina college student.

Greene was indicted for disseminating, procuring or promoting obscenity, a felony and a misdemeanor charge of communicating obscene materials to a person without consent.

Greene told FoxNews.com that “my lawyer’s dealing with it” before hanging up. When reached again by phone and asked who his lawyer is, Greene said, “It doesn’t matter.”

The Democrats will stop at nothing to get Greene off the ballot so they replace him. This news means Greene’s fully qualified to serve on a Senate SEC oversight comittee, but instead Alvin’s probably going to be dispatched.

If the porn charges don’t stick, maybe Alvin has a couple of unpaid parking tickets they can send him up the river for, at least until after November.

File this one under “Friday unwanted candidate dump.”

Yup, the party that fights for the rights of felons who’ve served time in jail to vote…those who serve in the military, not so much.

The difference is that those of us on the right have no problem pushing for a corrupt Republican to step down. The left instantly rushes to defend any Dem accused of any crime.

Of course, you know that and continue to push for your whole pure party theory. Unfortunately, there aren’t 536 modern day candidates who could meet with Diogenes’ approval.

Inquiring minds want to know but I am betting that the drive-by media will hush this up as soon as Greene is properly dispatched by the Democrat party.

The hope here is that this will spread around the country as but another demonstration of political corruption – and will lead to many of the elected elite sitting out for eternity.

Pay close attention to SC Election Law. The Courts allowed the New Jersey Dems to violate state law when Torricelli dropped out past the state mandated deadline for parties to submit candidates. We can’t let them get away with it again.

As with all Dems, an indictment is no reason to be concerned, and a conviction qualifies you for a committee chairmanship.

If the GOP didn’t have a well known incumbent running, I’d bet good money that this guy would not only get elected, but re-elected several times.

The “purity” lie. There is no point reiterating for the millionth time what my position is. You “Republican Uber Alles” closet liberals are no different from Democrats. You even attack conservatives with the exact same lies: bigots, purists, radical extremists, etc… It’s all party over principles.

I hope you are ready for President Hillary because that is where THIS Republican party (yours) is setting us up for.

“You can fool some of the people all of the time.”

Yeah, they are called die-hard Republicans.

I don’t vote for liberals or Democrats, especially when they are running as Republicans. If you Republican cultists want to win the independent conservative vote (we outnumber you), you are going to have to change your attitude.

Everyone knows you can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich so these charges are essentially meaningless at this stage. But there’s more. There is the issue of context, the magic word of redemption which changed everything. That in fact, he was trying to show the young lady the kind of things that he had moved beyond, transcended in a word. Aren’t the media, democrats, or anyone for that matter being bigots for denouncing Mr. Green without knowing the full (drum roll) context (just love that word)?

I would like to think the Republicans could come to his aid and thus score points with black voters, but of course that is the most hopeless of dreams. As we all know, see Bulworth’s Law (named for the great Sen. Jay Billington Bulworth), black people will never vote republican, no matter what the democrats do. How very true. Sorry Mr. Greene.
