Obama Swims in Gulf — or Maybe Not

A couple of days ago, President Obama said that he’d take a dip in the Gulf of Mexico to prove to America that the water in the Gulf was safe for swimming in the wake of the oil leak. He also said that there would be no press allowed in the area for his swim because the last time he took his shirt off with reporters around he ended up on a magazine cover that now doubles as wallpaper in Chris Matthews’ dressing room.
But maybe the White House didn’t want any press photographers around because the wrong angle would give away the fact that Obama wasn’t in the Gulf at all.
According to the White House website, Obama swam off Alligator Point, which is not in the Gulf, but rather in Saint Andrews Bay.
If Glenn Beck said he swam in the Gulf but was actually in the Bay, it would be splashed all over Media Matters by now. A good portion of the media didn’t care to do as much geographic parsing as they no doubt would have if they were writing about Bush:

An Associated Press writer was one of the few to notice or care about the difference between the Gulf and the Bay:
The president’s dip happened away from the media. The White House released an official photo, but The Associated Press does not publish such handout images. According to the White House, the Obamas swam off Alligator Point, which is in Saint Andrew Bay, not the Gulf.
Swimming in the Bay instead of the Gulf was actually a wise move, because at the same time Obama was swimming in the Bay to prove it was safe to swim in the Gulf, eight miles away, a man who was swimming in the actual Gulf drowned (the Gulf beach was closed in that area due to a riptide).
Naturally, TOTUS 1 and TOTUS 2 accompanied the president to Florida in order to let Americans know that the Gulf is open for scripted rhetoric:

So the story, claiming that Obama swam with his daughter in the Gulf of Mexico, is, like so many other dishonest, fawning Obama loving media, “Fake, but Accurate.”
Question: Can the contender for Mister Puniverse – Mister Skinny Bones, The King of America, the Future Emperor of Eath and the entire Universe, Mister Hope and Change, Mister Religious, The Messiah, The Savior of Mankind, President Barack Hussein Obama even swim?

I think just before Obama jumped in he decreed that the Gulf of Mexico now encompasses wherever he puts his foot in the water.
So technically he swam in the Gulf of Mexico. Later in the day he showered and the Presidential shower became the Gulf of Mexico shower.
St. Andrews Bay FL? You mean the little inlet protected from the Gulf by some islands and the land mass on which Tyndall AFB sits and the peninsula that has St. Andrews State Park? That St. Andrews Bay?
Not really the kind of Jet Setter, happening kind of place the Obamas seem to like. I guess he didn’t like the more touristy Ft. Walton Beach area.

This case of our Messiah, our Lord and Savior, Barack Hussein Obama (PBUH), Mister Punyverse, The One, Mister Hope and Change, reminds me of the movie business.
There have been numerous movies made in which the story is supposed to take place in the Florida Keys, yet the movie is not shot in the Florida Keys. The movie is not even filmed in Florida, nor is the movie filmed in the USA, not even another US location doubling for the Florida Keys.
Instead the movie is shot in another country, thousands of miles away. Several movies in which the story “takes place” in the keys were shot in Australia. Others were shot in Israel, and elsewhere.
The same with Vancouver, Canada, doubling for US cities.
The next thing you know they will have people in an audience in which Obama, Al Gore, or some other celebrity, is giving a speech and answering questions from the “audience,” and we will find out that the audience member who asked the question, and the question itself, were created by Obama’s people, with Obama fully knowledgable of the pre-planned farce, and pretending as if he 1) Did not know the audience member beforehand, 2) Did not know the question before hand, and 3) Made the answer up on the spot, all by himself

Is there anything that this Dweeb cannot screw up? I mean, really. For some reason, it seems to be getting worse lately. You know how it is when you screw something up and you keep trying to fix it? It just gets worse, and worse, and worse, sort of like this presidency. The guy is absolutely paranoid. Every time he speaks you can expect the “clarification” to be forthcoming. First the lies, then the “clarifications”.
I can recall at least one of our posters from Panama City Beach who said there was no oil there.
So it means nothing if he swam there. A swim in LA, MS or AL would have meant more. This was a pathetically weak PR trip that had in the words of the late Tony Snowe a “dead cat bounch” to it.

Assassination would be a catastrophe for America. It would terminate any chance of undoing the damage he has done, and it would probably lead to worse. Possibly much worse.
Impeachment is a practical impossibility before we get a chance to defeat him at the polls in 2012.
Why do people bring up these kinds of things? It makes them sound like they’re disconnected from reality.
Obama has another 29 months of destruction to do. Taking Congress away from him in in November can only stop some of the added damage he’ll be doing in 2011 and 2012.

Totus 1: Look toward camera. Smile with “I’m having fun” smile.
Totus 2: Say these words: “Wow, the water is great. What swimming fun I am having here in the wonderful Gulf”.
Totus 1: Check that feet are touching bottom. Bend knees to create illusion of deep water for cameras. Bend arms backward to simulate backstroke while walking slowly backward and bending knees.
Totus 2: Say these words: “Wow, I haven’t done this incredibly hard backstroke since my days as (pick one)captain/coach/inventor/leader/organizer of the champion award-winning university swim team.
So how does this guy go swimming anyway? I have always assumes the waters part anytime he gets near any of them (which can be a real pain when you take a bath or shower, of course that may explain why insects and rodents are attracted to him).
Those without morals, character or integrity can be hired to do anything.
The interesting thing is to treat the words coming from the progressives and lefties as projection. Who knows more about cheating at the poll or astroturf protests than those who have been using those techniques all along. Watch those who are making the accusations to see that they aren’t the guilty parties deflecting scrutiny by projecting what they are doing onto someone else in an effort to get the opponent on the defensive. They are telling us who they are and what they are doing.

For some reason, when I saw that picture of Obama and his daughter in the water, my first thought was, “this is a phoney picture. Somehow, they are faking something.” Now I know my instincts were right. I am suspicious of every single thing this POS does, even photo ops. I have NO trust in this POS…zero, zilch, nada.
You completely missed my point. Of course Obama has engaged in impeachable acts. So what? What does that have to do with the reality of a Senate controlled by Obama’s allies?
Even if a miracle happens, and the Democrats lose every single Senate seat being contested, they will still have way more Senators than they need to stop Obama from being removed from office.
Impeachment talk should be limited to saying he deserves to be impeached, but even then it should be accompanied by pointing out the Democrats are certain not to do the right thing.

I recall one of my favorite “Columbo” TV episodes where Columbo jumps in and pulls the distraught daughter off from attacking her murder suspect step-mom and he scolds her for trying to frame her mom for murdering her dad. After the daughter’s hauled off, the murderess thanks Columbo for coming to her aid, and Columbo, with a coy smiles says “Of course I had to stop your daughter! We can’t bag you on flimsy evidence!” I loved that!

I have a condo in Panama City Beach, and there was NEVER any oil to hit Panama City Beach from the oil well leak. The administration and the media created the fiction that this problem was a crisis of monumental proportions for some reason known only to them. But a small amount of tar balls washed ashore in the pensacola area, and that was the only real impact to the state of Fl from the well leak. But the damage from the damned media is causing restaurants, hotels, and condo owners to worry whether they will be able to weather the winter financially. Louisiana’s outer islands and marshes were hit with oil sludge, and to a lesser extent Mobile Bay area. Going east from there became an increasingly futile task to find REAL OIL PROBLEMS. It was HYPED.
And yes, potus is lolling in the bay, not the gulf. Another hype. Love totus 1 and 2 right there to help the potus talk and wade at the same time! In the gulf, I could see off my balcony hundreds if not thousands of swimmers and children wading.

Some friends and I are planning a dive trip to St. Andrews this Labor Day weekend. I hope the scum is gone from the water by then…oh, wait, the Jugeared Nitwit is already in Martha’s Vineyard.

Well, I’ll give Mr Soetoro credit on one front – The tourism industry on the FL panhandle is already slamed hard by the economy (Discretionary spending is abysmal). It was a laudable effort to help, but it would have been nice if he actually swam in the gulf. These people are all about appearances. Substance factor: Zero.
A presidential podium and TOTUS 1&2 on a dock? The ironic thing is the real appearance is that it is all for appearance – which appears hollow…if that makes any sense.

I don’t need Obeyme and McShell to tell me anything, much less that it’s safe to go in the water at the Gulf. Hell, he wasn’t even in the Gulf. These people demonstrate to me on a daily basis how stupid they think we Americans truly are. This photo op and story is so typical of how Dems lie and spin–I will remember in NOvember.
